Long time lurker, first time poster. I think this us the best Naruto fic i've ever read. Thanks QMs for making this possible.
Question: Why are we more focused on the Snake scroll than we are the Condor scroll? With the Pangolin's having effectively enslaved the Condors, they would likely be much more "willing" to make another Goketsu their summoner. While we don't know who exactly the current Condor summoner is, i'm fairly confident that the Pangolins/Toads could find out and possibly lead them into a trap from which Team Uplift could obtain the scroll. Also, this seems like a much more likely option for Team Uplift IC.
Forgive me if i've missed something obvious, I'd just like to be a productive member of the planning process.

For the most part I think trying to get the summoning scroll behind the Clan council's back is a bad idea, treasonous levels of bad. It feels like people are expecting a slap on the wrist for slighting the heads of the other major clans/highest level of government.
That said I do like the idea of, rather than physically taking the scroll, we go straight to the Snake summoning clan and bargain with them through Keiko and Noburi (set up Noburi with the toads now so Keiko has backup when meeting with the Snakes). We reach an agreement with them (seals, an alliance with Toads and Pangolins, etc) in exchange they send away anyone given the scroll with the ultimatum that they will not accept anyone outside the Goketsu clan, declaring them the only potantial heirs the Snake clan will recognize. That way we still make a proactive effort to secure the scroll, but no one can argue against it because we haven't actually done anything (that they can prove), meaning the council either wastes the potential of a new Konoha summoner, or give us the scroll.
