Portals aren't easy to see, small pink Digimon are difficult to find, and if Joe ever tries to sing again, you will personally choke him with a sock.
You told him as much, too. He doesn't seem to know if you're serious or not, and you don't plan on telling him. It's not really important, so long as he no longer makes any sounds similar to a dying cat.
Izzy and the Digimon completely ignore the two of you. You still aren't sure if that's a good thing or not. "Izzy, should I go on ahead?" Tentomon asks his partner. "It would be rude to just show up all at once."
"That seems like a good idea," He nods. "Go ahead, warn him we're coming... maybe come back after, though. We don't have a lot of defenses as it is."
"Hey, you don't think I can manage?" You think Biyomon would pout, if it were possible for her to do so with a beak. She's tried, before, it never worked. "I'll have you know that nobody wants to fight me in this desert!" You think that's due more to the heat than anything else, but you wouldn't want to ruin her fun.
"What if the enemy has heat resistance?" No, you'll just let Izzy do that for you.
"That- I- Irrelevant!"
"Seems pretty relevant to me," Joe states, apparently deciding that this is a better topic of conversation than the possibility of being murdered with his own footwear.
...Honestly, you don't blame him.
"I think a lot of things in the desert would have to have heat resistance," The blue-haired boy continues. "With all this sun, sand... How would you be able to get very far, if you couldn't handle the climate?"
That is actually an excellent point, though you think the question is directed more at yourselves than the hypothetical enemy Digimon, so you just shrug. Honestly, you've never thought about it, and that's probably a good thing.
"That is true, for the most part," Izzy agrees. "Though we haven't run into a lot of Digimon here, so there's no way to know for sure." Technically, you could have come across a lot more Digimon than you did, but TK had a Crest to find and charging a trail of Monochromon is generally agreed upon to be suicide.
"So you can't say I can't do anything!" Biyomon proclaims, as though that were enough to win an argument. In her mind, it might very well be.
"I'm back!" Tentomon buzzes. You never did figure out just when he left. Probably flew off as soon as his partner gave him permission. That sounds like him. "And look who I brought!" And, yes, he has Piximon.
The little Ultimate takes a look over all of you. "Well, well, well! I didn't expect you to come by again so quickly. And who's this?"
"This is Joe," You explain. "Partner to Gomamon. Things happened, and we were separated from the rest of the DigiDestined. We ended up in the Analog World for a while, and we figured we could pick him up while we were there. We're currently trying to figure out what happened to everyone else, but..." Well, deserts aren't very good for looking for clues, and you're sure Piximon knows this. He lives here, after all.
"I see, I see. Well, last I heard, the DigiDestined were messing up the plans of an evil Locomon in the south, though that was over a month ago. I honestly do not know where they would be by now." So, he's saying you didn't have to come back to the desert. Brilliant. Also, something tells you that was entirely Tai's idea.
But this was the one idea you had, so... you guess you're going south. And you'll be out of the desert, hopefully for good. "I see. Thank you for the information, that... helps. A lot." No more sand!
"Oh, it's not a problem, for DigiDestined like yourselves." He waves it off. Still, you think back to the forest burning, and can't help but feel a little insecure about it.
[ ] Ask if there's anything you can do for him, while you're here.
[ ] Warn him about the possibility of Machinedramon.
[ ] Just go. You can finally leave the desert!
