[X]You've had to deal with a lot of Newspaper drama and other crap, looking back. It doesn't make you less of a man to want to try and offload some of your own burden........ does it?

[X]You're just worried about Tsukune. He's the only guy friend you've got, after all.
-[X]Hint that there're other things bothering you you'd like to vent about, but they can wait until you know Tsukune's safe.

Monster violence is what drove us to developing both Hamon and our stand. We've been in mortal danger that exceeds anything even the average monster would need to deal with. Jotaro's pretty well suited for the warrior lifestyle, but he's still a human. I think it's important to examine our limits, and to what extent we can afford to push them. Of course, now's not the time for navel-gazing, but saying it to someone else will make it more difficult to forget or dismiss later. And Moka's compassionate enough not to let the matter drop, too.

This is wonderful, and I'm glad I found it. And, even better, I have ideas. For now, though, let's deepen our connection with the vampire(s). And no, Jo, sharing your feelings with your friends is an awesomely manly thing to do.

Is this a valid write-in? Hoping to sort of combine the choices by giving her enough to satisfy her now while implying that we'll tell her the rest later.

There's no reason it can't be talked about now, though. Narratively or practically. Jotaro talked to Moka while they were searching, she can do the same.

This just seems like pointless stalling.

And for the main vote in general...haven't we learned by now (between the KurumuxTsukunexMoka angst, Yukari at risk of being more distant, etc.) that being closed off or diverting/ignoring issues doesn't resolve it and leaves it to fester...and likely to bite us in the ass later.

Let Jotaro get this off his chest.

As Moka forcibly stopping Jotaro seems to indicate, it's apparently either walk OR talk right now, not both. The way I worded my vote, I'm pretty sure it'll be something like "Right now my biggest worry is Tsukune's safety, but once that's taken care of we can talk about my other issues." Except, y'know, with a more Jotaro-y wording.

Basically, it's not "diverting/ignoring" (as "just worried about Tsukune" alone or "brush her off" would be) so much as it is "prioritizing." As in, focus on the urgent thing we can take care of first, before it actually becomes a problem, then vent about whatever other stress has accumulated when things calm down.

I gotta agree with the prioritization. Jotaro should talk about his issues, but in-universe right now they suspect Tsukune is in trouble. That really is more important.

Redirecting the focus to Tsukune while making it clear that yeah, there's more going on we should talk about later, seems a reasonable compromise. More sensible from an in-universe perspective, where we don't know what's up with Tsukune and can't meta-game what's going to happen in the near future, or whether now is even a good time to have this discussion.

Also, Moka may be distracted by realizing she and the Newspaper Club has been throwing more on Jotaro's plate. She's nice like that, and now's not a great time to make her feel guilty. She clearly feels bad as it is, on a number of subjects, and doesn't realize that Jotaro striding down the hallway is really him raidly checking rooms with his bullshit Stand rather than being distracted.

This shouldn't take long anyway. Pretty much Jotaro's response and then a few lines both ways. If the urgency of the search, or talking holding us up was a factor here it would have been implied by at least one of the choices. It wasn't.

The Tsukune reason had invisitext that shows it's throwing her a bone so that she'll leave Jotaro alone. Basically ignoring the issue.

In that context, saying we'll talk more later (the subvote) just seems like more bullshitting, no matter your intentions.

And if the search for Tsukune was the only thing we should be focusing on....why ask Moka how she's doing to begin with?

Because we were worried about her. Well, she's worried about us. Saying we have to exclusively focus on the search now is a hypocritical farce. Open up a bit and let his friend help.
