    Welcome to Lexaba. The skies no longer know peace.

    Your people are at war. The infinite azure that you once called home has been dyed blood red, the endless screams of duelling fighter planes ever-present below your great flying city. On the distant surface, the mages wage a desperate fight, to claim a new land for the Maraqi.

    One day, you too will join that battlefield.

    But today, you are but another young Maraqi, a child who has yet to stretch their God-granted wings to the fullest. If you truly wish to soar, it is only the Academy that can teach you.

    Take flight, young warrior!


    The war between the winged humanoids of Maraq, a city in the sky, and the earthmen of Kanda, on the surface below, began three years ago. You play as one of the Maraqi, desperate to find a solution to the impending destruction of your beloved city, for lately, the magic that allows Maraq to soar amongst the clouds is failing, and its Fall is no longer a question of "if", but of "when". Thus, this is the war that will determine your future.

    You play as a student who has recently entered the Academy, an institution in Maraq's Omega Sector that transforms young Maraqi into war heroes. There are two paths that your training will prepare you for: becoming a master of the holy light magicks that support your very city, or a maverick whose ferocious piloting marks them as a knight of the skies.

    At the Academy, you will find your comrades, and in time, you will be out on the battlefield, hoping that your education has borne fruit.

    Yeah, essentially. The magic that keeps Maraq flying has begun to fade, and eventually the city will fall. Thus the Maraqi have begun a war with the Kanda civilization down below in hopes of acquiring resources and land.

    You'll basically be entering a military academy and eventually fight in that war.

    Also as a general notice to everyone, I'll probably close voting sometime on Monday. And I'll make another post as warning before then.

    I am curious about whether there's any common knowledge you feel like we should be aware of that all the starts would know beyond what you've given us in the starting post; would you be willing to provide it, or should we just wait for the opening posts?

    I intend to touch on more lore/world stuff as the quest progresses and once Character Generation is done. If you guys have any questions after the opening post, always feel free to ask and I'll let you know whether or not it's something I can provide an answer for.

    There is not enough good quests with male protagonist. It's really is a shame.
