On the Shoulder of Martyrs (Black Templars 40K Quest)

Speaking of weapons, it's a shame polearms and spears are so rare as Asartes weapons outside of the White Scars, Grey Knights and the odd Primarch relic.

Given Siggy's affinity with the spear, might been interesting to pick up a Power Lance or something similair when he rises in rank but I expect him to get a Black Sword eventually.

Funnily enough, the only real requirement for the Black Sword to be a Black Sword is for it to be a powerful power weapon. As such, it could be a Power Lance, even if it would make hundreds of heads turn.

[X] The cherished chainsword and blessed boltpistol.

This is almost unanimous, I kind of want to suggest closing the poll already.

That went better than I expected.

Yeah, I don't know what else I was expecting. The option for other weapons is there, though. And Sigismund will have plenty of opportunities to use the others in the future.

This is the sole option with a melee + ranged weapon( albeit not a very strong or long ranged weapon). Maybe, next time offer more variations to give people pause.

I picked it because the Chainsword is fucking awesome and I always liked the 'sword in one hand and gun in the other' look. It also gives us the most versatility from a tactical standpoint, yes.

That's not very Codex Astartes of you. Then again, we are the Black Templars. The Codex can go to the Ultramarines, they might need some more for whatever next batch of successors they are making.

Ideal set up would be -all being artifacts so no overheating/ammo concerns- a plasma gun, a melta pistol and melee of choice.

I don't mean to say anything too heretical, but did you know that Daemon Weapons also don't suffer from the effects of overheating or ammo concerns?
I'm not saying we should use them (don't ever use one, in fact, they're heretical AF and will only lead to bad things. Drop them into a sun if possible), but certain parts of the Inquisition does enjoy the added lethality that such weapons provide.
