[X] Get out of the tower and chase after the butterfly
It's a butterfly.
We're a Persona Character.
When has following a butterfly ever backfired on a Persona character^^
You decide to get out of the tower and chase after the butterfly. Pushing the door open, you step out of the tower and look for the butterfly. When you see the blue glitters of the butterfly right in front of you, you waste no time to chase after it.
"Wait, Mr. Butterfly!" You call out for the butterfly as you chase after it. As if noticing your presence, the glittery insect flits away from you, but from the way it keeps its distance from you, it feels like it's leading you to somewhere.
There's nothing much outside the tower, and you pay your surroundings no mind as you keep chasing after the butterfly. When the butterfly is within your reach, it suddenly surges forward, distancing itself from you. But you keep chasing after it, ignoring everything around you.
You have no idea where the butterfly is leading you to, and you chase after it for quite a while. When you come back to your senses, you are no longer around the area of Mysterious Tower. Instead, you find yourself in some kind of blue corridor. The butterfly seems to have disappeared from your sight.
"W-where... am I?" You mutter to yourself as you uncertainly step forward. You look around yourself to see where you are. You don't remember entering this place, and you start panicking. "N-no... Mr. Yen Sid! Mr. Yen Sid!" You call out for the old master, but he is nowhere to be found. Tears start to gather in your eyes. "Mr. Mousey!" You start calling out Mickey. "Mr. Mousey!"
You frantically move around to find out anyone who can help you out, but there's no one in the place. You start crying out for your father and mother. "Dad!! Mom!!" Then you remember that they were no longer with them, and you can't hold it back anymore. You slump on the floor, sobbing miserably as you continue calling out your parents.
"M-mom... D-dad... I-I'm scared..." you whimper. You recall the times when both of them were still alive, and it hurts as you think of them. The aching sensation in your chest makes it hard for you to breathe, but you can't stop yourself as you keep on crying. You are just a child. The pain from such a loss will hurt you, and it will continue hurting no matter what. Do not cry, child...
As you remain on the floor, you sense a presence. You look up and wipe your eyes, and you can see the blue butterfly from earlier, flapping its wings right before you, blue glittery dusts left in its trail. The wound may never heal, the pain may never vanish, but rejoice in the fact that you are alive...
For some reason, you start to feel calm as you look at the butterfly before you. You don't know what is happening, but there's something soothing in the air as you continue staring at the butterfly. The blue insect continues dancing in the air before it starts moving away from you. Now, take your first step. There's something awaiting you...
It feels like the butterfly is leading you to somewhere. Drying your tears, you get back up onto your feet before you follow after the blue butterfly. This time, the butterfly doesn't leave your sight as you follow after it. It feels like there's no ending in sight for this corridor, but you continue moving forward, following the butterfly. You ignore the aching sensation on your feet as you keep on walking. Destiny awaits before the door. Open it, and your fate shall be sealed...
You stop before a strange door, and the door seems to radiate some kind of light. You carefully study the door. It feels like the butterfly has led you here. Speaking of the butterfly, it seems to have disappeared.
Having nothing else to do, you reach for the knob and open the door. You are having difficulty to open the door due to your height, but you manage it somehow. After you open the door, you step inside and find yourself in some kind of room.
You have no idea what this place actually is. It feels like a room, but the room itself feels like it's moving upwards, like some kind of elevator. But this elevator is pretty huge. You nervously look around the room as you close the door behind you.
"Welcome to the Velvet Room..."
"Eep!" You yelp when you hear that voice that comes out of nowhere. Then, you look at the occupant of this room, whom you didn't notice earlier. Sitting at the table is a man, whose appearance is so horrifying that you are frozen in fear.
"Do not be alarmed, young lady. I mean you no harm..."
In contrast to his imp-like feature, his voice is soothing. Still, you warily watch him as you continue listening to what he's going to say.
"Still, for you to enter this place way earlier than the expected time, it is quite an unexpected turn of event..." the man says. "Still, there is nothing inside this room that happens without reason. How intriguing..." He chuckles after saying that.
"Um... w-who are you?" You ask.
"Ah, where are my manners? I am Igor, and I am delighted to make your acquaintance..." The man, Igor, then motions his gloved hand to the side. "This is Velvet Room. It is a place that exists between dream and reality, mind and matter. And only those who are bound by contracts may enter..." Then, he clasps his gloved hands together as he studies you with interest. "Now... why don't you tell me your name, young lady?"
With a wave of his hand, a paper appears right before your eyes. You take it into your hands and read it. You are reading it slowly as you are having difficulty on how to read it. You are still a child, after all.
"It is understandable that you are having difficulty to understand what the contract may have written on it, but I assure you, the contract is to ensure you that you bear responsibility to all actions that you may do in the future. After all, I have your best interests at heart," Igor says before he chuckles again. "Now then, write your name on it. Please do not worry about your handwriting."
There is also a pen that comes with the paper. You reluctantly reach for the pen before you write your name on it. You carefully write your name on it as best as you can. Once you're done, the paper flies back to Igor, and he studies it before nodding.
"This should suffice for now..." Igor says after nodding to himself. "And now, let us talk about your future, shall we?" Clasping his hands, he focuses his bloodshot eyes on you. "You still have quite a few years ahead of you before you can begin your journey in earnest. In the meantime, you shall take your time honing yourself, as there will be something grand awaiting you in the future. And at that time, you will be called again into this room."
Chuckling to himself, Igor waves his hand, and your eyelids feel heavy.
"Time marches on in your world. It is time for you to return. Till then, farewell..."
And with that, you lose your consciousness.
...
......
.........
"Wake up, little one."
You feel yourself being shaken by someone, and you open your eyes and see the stern look of Master Yen Sid's face. You yelp as you jolt back up, and you find yourself on the cold floor of the lower level of the tower.
"Oh, um..." you nervously try to come up with something before Master Yen Sid's expression softens.
"I found you sleeping soundly on the floor, and I had been trying to wake you up." Master Yen Sid sighs. "Still, if you wish to fall asleep, make sure to do it in your room."
"I-I understand, Mr. Yen Sid..." you say, feeling embarrassed. Then, you feel something in your hand. You look at it and see a keychain. "Huh?"
"A keychain?" Master Yen Sid says as he looks at the keychain in your hand. "I have never seen this one before. Hmm... well, since you found it, it's only natural that it is yours now, little one." He gives you a small smile. "The keychain is an essential thing in using a Keyblade. You may learn something by holding onto one..."
And so, Master Yen Sid turns around to leave. You continue studying the keychain in your hand.
What's your Keychain's name?
[ ] Master of String
Shaped like a lyre, there are some strings on it that you can pluck, producing sounds. By equipping it on a Keyblade, you will gain access to Cadenza, which allows you to make second choice during battle if your first choice fails.
[ ] L'Effet Papillon
Shaped like a butterfly, it seems to be emitting soft velvety light. By equipping it on a Keyblade, you will gain access to Butterfly Effect, which allows you to reroll one failed check, can only be done ONCE during battle.
[ ] Memento Mori
Shaped like a coffin, there's something peculiar about this particular keychain, but you can't explain why. By equipping this on a Keyblade, you will gain access to Rebirth, which allows you to gain full health after taking a mortal blow ONCE during battle.

Well, all of them offer redoes, but this one explicitly saves us from the worst outcome instead of a failed check or bad decision, which could be non-lethal and thus partially wasted. Plus, Death and Coffins are quite connected with our protagonist. Plus plus, I like spooky aesthetics to go along with a kind demeanor.
Mainly because "defying death" is a pretty badass ability, though how would Once More and Second Chance work here? Restore Block / Barrier would also be nice, but I also don't understand how that would translate.

Well, to be specific, we could only access the Velvet Room after signing a contract with Pharos. Igor states that only those who have signed a contract can be guests of the Velvet Room. Is there a chance we can obtain one of the Keychains we don't choose in the future?
