The Reaper Among The Dead (Resident Evil/HotD Crossover Quest)

[X] Keep moving, there's possibly more supplies elsewhere.
What is the end goal for us here, as in what happens once HUNK manages to get Saya to safety. Does Umbrella have post-apocalypse measures? or are we going to be on our own?

Eh, dumb arogant bastard. Sure, he was writen as a one-dimensional plot device, as much as there's plot in hsotd, but still

A Lost Hound
It'd be suspicious if you turned back without Shido, if you kept searching for supplies for a while then there'd be some merit to your claims he was either killed or disappeared into the city. Besides, you've only filled up half of your duffel bag, there's still enough room to fit some more in there if you're careful enough, and you've got Shido's bag.

Good riddance.

Moving to the next house, it was even easier than before. While the door didn't have windows, it did have a weak lock. Giving it a good kick, the lock broke and allowed you entrance to the house's interior. It was a two story house, not much in the way of decoration. Checking the kitchen first, you scanned the room carefully as your boots thudded like a dull hammer against the wood floor. When no threat presented itself, you began raiding the place for food and water.

...

Within just an hour you had filled up both bags, having broken into quite a few different houses. As you were walking out of the third house, you found a small white dog. Calling in Tunnel Rat, you figured that having a dog would help in guarding against intruders and raise morale a bit. After all, don't people love dogs?

"Tunnel Rat, this is Hunk, I've found a dog." There was a bit of chuckling from the other end, and you were kneeling down to pet it.

Tunnel Rat responded soon, mirth in his voice. "I never thought you'd be a dog person, everyone always pegged you as more of a cat person." He mentioned, and you just rolled your eyes. "I've got an idea for names, Zero, like the Japanese Plane from World War 2?" It'd serve as a good name for the little guy, and you carried the dog with you.

Since your hands were a bit full, you figured carrying the dog in your vest would free your hands up. With everything done, you were on your way out the door until you heard gunshots. It was a shotgun, double barrel considering the intervals between two shots. Dropping low, you began to make your way to the wall slowly, before poking your head up.

There was a man wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, laughing as he blasted another undead. In his hands was a double barreled shotgun, drawing more undead to the area.

Ignoring him, he'd be dead within the hour.

Making your way over the stone fence, you noticed three people wielding shotguns as well. Their leader was a bulky looking man, with tattoos and carrying a pump shotgun. His fellows were similarly armed, though more dressed like civilians. They seemed to be relishing in the carnage, taking whatever they could from whoever.

You'd deal with them later, right now you've got to drop your supplies off.

...

After dropping the supplies, there were questions on where Shido was. You told them that Shido had been killed by a looter, and that was the end of it. It appeared that nobody really cared for Shido's loss, some even said outright that it must've been possible that the looter did the world a favor. Kohta was one of them, and you were surprised that Zero was already making friends.

The dog was staying close to Saya, seemingly taking a liking to her. Beneficial to your situation, considering the fact that anything that can help Saya can make your mission a little less difficult.

Now, how do you deal with those looters?

distract the undead and kill looters sure sounds like a plan to me

[X] Use stealth, pick them off one by one.

I'd be all for luring the infected to them, but for the fact that I want their guns and ammunition.

[x] Lure the infected to them, let the undead feast.
I would say to try and obtain their guns, but they are more than likely poorly maintained and low on ammo.
Luring the dead in has the duel effect of allowing us easier possible completion of our goal and dealing with these looters.

@Lone Courier - is the small white dog our PC recently rescued actually Zeke from HOTD? Also, when are we going to able to come across Alice, her father, and Zeke (if the small white dog HUNK rescued is not Zeke)? Please let me know. Thank you. :)

Yes, the dog is Zeke. I always pegged HUNK as a Dog person, they're loyal, fluffy, and most of my friends agree that HUNK loves dogs. Also...I have a surprise once we meet Alice and her father. *Evil GM Laugh*

The Specter Of Death
Their weapons could be useful, and if not then the ammunition they're carrying will serve its purpose. Since the sun was setting, they wouldn't be able to see you lurking in the shadows. You were following them as they made their way closer to the house where your charge is, muttering to each other.

"Is that the house?"

"Can't miss it, and I call dibs on the blonde."

There was one lagging behind, a bandaged leg wound slowing him down. He was dressed in a white office shirt, carrying a cut down pump shotgun. At most it'd hold four plus one shell, at the very least it'd be three plus one. Sneaking behind the unwary looter, our covered his mouth quickly before shoving the blade into the back of his skull.

Dragging him into the shadows, you looted his body. He had only a few scant shells, six. As for his shotgun, it was in pathetic condition. He was lucky it even lasted him that long, it'd break with a good knock.

Pocketing his shells, you began to follow the others. They were oblivious to their friend's disappearance, thinking he'd probably lagged behind again. As they were walking, you threw a can over to distract them. The bulkier man nudged his ally, forcing him to look into the noise that had occurred just a few scant feet away.

As he was investigating it, you had gotten closer to the bulkier man. He hadn't noticed you sneaking behind him, and soon you had him by the neck, twisting it sharply before dropping him to the ground. His ally heard the corpse drop, and raised his shotgun at you. It was shaking, and his grip was pathetic. He didn't have the guts to shoot you, and if you did get shot your armor would reduce the damage inflicted on you. Taking a step forward, he shouted, and you noticed an undead lurking behind him.

It didn't take long for the zombie to grab him, disarming the looter of his shotgun at the same time. Letting the undead munch on his still screaming snack, you grabbed his shotgun and his comrade's weapon. While you couldn't steal his ammo, you could at least steal his weapon while the undead munched on him.

...

"I'm back." You stated bluntly, walking inside the house with two (albeit in less than stellar condition) shotguns, and a handful of shotgun shells. Sixteen to be specific, and you were surprised that they managed to get their hands on the weapons despite the rigorous gun laws of Japan.

Kohta was excited with your new acquisitions, until he noticed the condition they were in. Handing him the shells, you'd give the shotguns a look before taking first watch.

In short, it was in terrible condition. Both of them could barely serve without extensive repair, which costed time that you didn't have.

Keeping the shotguns for later, you made your way to the balcony. It'd serve as your watch post, and you observed the area as day turned into night. Shizuka was kind enough to bring you dinner, which consisted of a sandwich and a bottled water. Thanking her, you were quick to eat as Shizuka tried to make small talk.

"I can see why you're called Hunk..." You were used to hearing that, mostly from single female researchers or a joke from other operatives.

There was something happening just a few houses down, a man and his daughter were running down the street. Kohta was quick to show up after you told him, using the AR-10T to watch them from afar. You were observant of the situation, and noticed something odd about one of the undead.

It was hunched over, twitching every now and then at every noise. Unluckily for the father, he tried to bash the creature aside with the pipe in his hand. The Undead had knocked the pipe aside, and the father backed away. As the undead began to surround them, he hefted his daughter and got her over a nearby wall, before trying to get over it himself.

He didn't even have his arms on the wall before being pulled down, devoured by the horde.

"We have to help her!" Kohta was adamant that you helped the girl, and you were still thinking of what to do. In a normal situation, you wouldn't plan on helping civilians. But in order to secure their trust, you'd need to help her.

So, how do you go about this?

We got to save Alice stat, people - so start writing those plans to save her. Also, is the one odd undead possibly a Resident Evil zombie as opposed to the regular HOTD zombies? Please let me know.

[X] Plan HUNK to the rescue spec ops style.
-[X] A troublesome rescue but as the girl's recently departed dad is now zombie feed as a distraction, find a way past the wall to look for her.
-[X] Get Tunnel Rat's help on any useful location info to get past the wall as well as anything else of interest to make a useful distraction.
-[X] Inform the group you'll rescue her alone while they prep a safehouse.
-[X] If they have objections state that as the most experienced in handling zombies you're able to avoid them and not draw attention to get in and get out with the girl.

What about the 'Twitcher' zombie? It would be troublesome if it get close to us...

Not sure what else is missing I mean the update was explicit about it. A father gets eaten by zombies as he shoves her daughter over the wall.

To kill that particular zombie maybe a waste of ammo unless there's some environmental distractions to grab their attention.

So as HUNK is the most experienced he can be the one to get out and rescue the girl by going going around the zombie feast .The others are civilians and can observe from afar though I don't think they have a radio to contact HUNK if they noticed anything unusual.
