Defense Of Priscilla
Taking a calming breath, you knew that this day come when Priscilla was first born. It was only a matter of time, and to have it happen on the day of victory was somewhat infuriating.

"While I'd loathe to bring him up, remember your alliance with Seath? Surely you notice that even those with dragon's blood can be reasoned with." Saying his name was enough to raise your anger, but you kept it silent to keep up appearances. You came prepared for this, and after months, possibly years of planning you're ready to state your case.

Gwyn gave it a moment of thought, before responding. "While Seath is evidence, he's not exactly stable, nor a common assumption for mental health." The Gravelord spoke next, his voice echoing and raspy.

"He's playing to the nobility's tune, most of them fearful of the unknown, what they believe unnatural." There was a low, unnerving chuckle from the Lord of the Dead. "And yet they're fine with me, the Gravelord Nito." Listening to Nito was like hearing death itself whisper in your ear, but you waited for what else he had to say. "I care not what happens to the girl, but to listen to fearful nobles? I'd rather return to flesh." The room was quiet afterwards, until Gwyn began talking once more.

"While normally I wouldn't pay much service to these nobles, they're very...Adamant, that Priscilla be removed ever since the incident." The incident that revealed her powers was...Tragic, considering that an unlucky caretaker suffered from an uncontrolled use of her newfound abilities. "Someone has even commissioned a painted world by Painter Ariamis, but I know how unyielding you are."

Unyielding was the correct word, as those in the Frozen Reaches learned a lesson from a young age. You either bend and break, or stand adamant against the cold like the ice wall.

While it seems that the Queen of Izalith agrees with your sentiments, Nito is indifferent, and Gaea is merely watching.

What is your plan now?

[X] Then I will leave with my daughter. If people of Anor Londo doesn't want us her, we won't resist. There are many kingdoms that would gladly accept me, Oolacile comes to mind. I think they will happy to have me there, to learn and experiment like we once did.

That is mostly to check if he is just wanting Nobles to shut up, how high he values us and if he specifically wants our daughteru imprisoned in Painting.

-[X] If it is her heritage they fear, I would remind them that she is part god as well, and raised by one to love, rather than to hate. If it is the nature of her power they fear, then I would remind them that, as the Gravelord has just said, they do not fear him. Or perhaps they do, and simply do not dare speak it, in which case I would remind them of the foolishness of threatening a mother's children. And if it is some perceived lack of control over those powers they fear, from one single incident then allow me to make myself clear: I will do everything in my power to help her gain control of them, for her sake, for Anor Londo's, and for the world's.
-[X] But if they remain unconvinced, and if their unfounded fears outweigh everything I have ever done for Anor Londo, and every good my daughter could do, then perhaps it istime for us to leave. There are many other kingdoms that would gladly accept us.

Doing my own take here, and trying to make one last plea before dropping the threat of just leaving. Force Gwyn to choose between placating the nobles and having to rely on Seath (who he has just characterized as unstable) for the continuing development of Sorcery within Anor Londo.

I also decided to cut the mention of Oolacile in order to keep our options open as to where we might go. I'm half expecting the Witch to give us an offer for example, or we could even go look for the Firstborn if we were truly set on forsaking all ties to the gods.

No adoption then as he is already old. In that case Gwyn can send him in our domain to learn magic or something, basically get rid of him by sending him to us and other gods not having something to gossip about in Anor Lando.
We may be tutoring him already actually. As the more stable of the two founders of Sorcery, it would certainly be difficult to find a better tutor.

On other note i suppose that Seath is a lot more stronger than in DS as he didn't have to create sorcery on his own thus managing to do it a lot faster than normaly.
Not to mention that when he was creating it he had insight in Miracles as he had a goddess helping him.
Oh yes, I had envisioned her completing many spells that canonically wouldn't show up until much later, most notably the entire Oolacile branch based in light and illusions. She' also put some work into combing Miracles and Sorceries, but that's been set aside for the moment.

Given that she's one of the few gods with any level of resistance against Dark, she's even done a bit of dabbling in Dark-based spells that her human followers will eventually fully develop into Hexes.

Aren't all kingdoms subservient to Gwynn at this point. Really leaving is less "I'LL GO FIND NEW GODS!" and more "I'll find one of the settlements that actually appreciates us."

The actual politics are probably more complicated than that, but yes. The real ragequit in this situation would be to go join the Nameless King/Firstborn.

damm I forgot about 1 thing: gods spared Midir and used him as guard dog of Gwyn's eldest daughter Filianore. We should know about it, and be able to use it.

We can spin it as not wanting to bring up this particular secret up, due to nature of ringed city tho.

yes that sounds much better than "derp I forgot"

huh intresting, also QM on what terms we parted ways from Seath? Because he can't be always full one mad science if MC ended up in bed with him at one point
In one word? Violently.

Because finding out the person you know and care about is experimenting on your child, you tend to beat the hell out of them.

Final Judgement & An Odd Letter
Your next words were choice, pointing out what Gwyn may have forgotten. "Need I remind you of Priscilla's heritage? She is my child, one taught to love rather than to hate." Gaea watched the development with interest, and the Witch of Izalith kept listening. "Or if it's the nature of her abilities, then need I remind you of what the Gravelord had said mere moments ago?" Seath's experiments into the Life Hunt was a curse, and even now you're dealing with the fallout. "They do not fear him, or perhaps they do, and say so in the privacy of their own homes." Taking pause, you continued after restraining yourself. "And I take it you know the dangers of threatening a mother's child, and how much of a fool it takes to even work up the courage."

Gwyn was silent, listening intently to every word before answering. "Lady Oritha, from what I've heard, it is her lack of control they fear." Then it's simple, you'll teach her to utilize her abilities in non-dangerous ways. Taking a deep breath, you waited for him to finish before continuing with your defense. "While those of my bloodline are fine with her, there are some very...Explicit threats, from some of the more unhinged nobles." You knew of them, and you were furious.

The berserkers, the gods who sought bloodshed, violence, and war wherever they went. Be it against dragons, gods, or giants, they'll fight. Then there are those who strike from the shadows, forming a web of lies and deceit as they secure their own power.

If they have threatened your daughter, then they have already sealed their fate. No man, no god, and certainly no beast will stop you from keeping Priscilla safe.

"Then tell them, that if they threaten my daughter again, the Gravelord shall have more corpses to take to the grave." A chill surged through the room, causing some of the deities to shiver. "And if the problem is her lack of skill, then I will undertake the task of teaching her." Gwyn was about to protest, until Gaea spoke up for the first time during the debate.

"Gwyn, I'd say let her teach the child." Her voice was calm, but still piercing the silence as if one of Gough's Arrows. "After all, why is this an issue in the first place?" Gaea asked, and Gwyn explained in detail.

It was a month after Priscilla's latent traits revealed itself, and yet all seemed calm until one of her caretakers ended up dead on the floor. The first manifestation of Life Hunt, a power which saps the strength and vitality out of any mortal or god. While the ability was unintended side effect of Seath's experiments, it was still dangerous enough that some among the Nobility were commissioning Ariamis to make a Painted World.

Gaea took the information in, thinking it over until she gave her judgement. "Let her keep the girl, send any who disobey the decree to me." There was an odd look in her eye, one that many feared. "...I'll deal with them personally, so that Oritha won't be bogged down by their ignorance."

Thanking Gaea for her judgement, the meeting was adjourned and you were well on your way back to Priscilla.

...

As you were making your way back, you bumped into one of Ornstein's companions. The Black Iron Dragonslayer, disciple of the First Born and one of Ornstein's closest allies. Bumping into him was an odd moment for the both of you, but he was polite the whole time.

"My apologies...Lady Oritha," He gave a curt nod, his blackened and rough hewn armor standing somewhat intimidating...Were it not for the fact you were taller and just as intimidating as he. "An anonymous individual gave me this letter...For you alone, a secret admirer?" The Dragonslayer cocked his head, and you thanked him for the letter.

Making your way back to the room, you thanked the Outrider knight for guarding your child.

Taking a seat in your room, you watched as Priscilla walked towards you and crawled onto your lap. It was an adorable sight, and it became better as she soon nodded off in your arms.

As she was sleeping, you quietly opened the letter.

...

Dear Oritha,

While I am forbidden from stepping foot in the lands I once called home, you have no such case. I know of something you do not, and it is something that Seath has worked on since Priscilla's birth. Two children, souls intertwined with both the righteous power of a god, and the blood of dragons. While only your children in theory, I couldn't stand by and let Seath experiment on them any more.

I beg of you Oritha, save them, and give them a future to look forward to.

- The Nameless King

...

You knew not who this 'Nameless King' was, but if he sought out one of the Firstborn's scions to deliver this letter. Then this must be something you must deal with, though how?

[X] There are few that can manage acquiring Dragonslayer's help for mere letter deliver, fewer that can't enter the halls of Anor Londo. Those that are left behind... they doesn't have reasons to lie to you and there is little benefit of potentially damning bond between Seath and you... He himself did great job on that front. And he showed before that age doesn't matter to him, nor blood that flows in veins of his test subject. You will go there and see it for yourself.
-[x] Take Priscilla on a trip, both as a cover and to let heads in Anor Londo calm down a little. While you trust your knights, all it takes is one mistake... Travel quietly, using illusions to blend in and hide your godhood.
--[x] When relativity near Seath's castle, leave her with few guards. Give them orders to stay here for 2 days, and if you do not return by then, they should travel to Oolacile without you, while one of their ranks go to Gaea with letter explaining what happened.
--[X] There is no god or man that can see through your illusions bar maybe Seath and Gwyndolin (young girl showed big talent in that art). Use them to get into castle and check it for yourself. If you find children take them away without confronting Seath. Their life is more important than answers you could get from scaleless bastard...

Dear god that is a lot of text... I hope it isn't too much...
