No SV, You Are The Eldritch Horror! (Quest)

Just a head's up: If we can get some quality discussion going for this vote here in the thread, I will try to write an extra piece from another character's POV! Perhaps it'll be entertaining as well as offer valuable insight from a... mortal! Friendly reminder that discussion usually helps spur on QM productivity! :D

[X] The Protector

I think that the protector comes from a place of feeling superiority over humans, he's the Shepard in his eyes, the guiding light but may not actually be that in the eyes of the people he's protecting. A tyrant can be a great king.
combined with the slight smug undertone i feel like it may give more opportunity to characterise the mc as a person rather than a gimmick, the destroyer to me just sounds like a warlord who sees everyone as either a target or an asset, more equal but less complicated and less caring (in the apathetic about people sense, not the loving mother sense).
since we're essentially going to be gods/godlike beings I think the more complicated route will be more interesting.

That is exactly why i voted Protector. He does not seem to care about anyone as more than assets to be used. That is far more eldritch horror than military camaraderie.

To be honest, I don't expect EITHER of them to be any good at interfacing with humans directly or at all concerned with individual human life. I suspect they're both more like... living totems, in terms of a social role.

The Destroyer sounds like it uses humans to hit the enemies of Earth harder, either slowing them by throwing humans between the Emmayda and their escape route or mutating them into monsters.

[X] The Destroyer

Going with this because it sounds far more like a Eldritch Horror than the other.

Forgot to X your vote, friend.

[X] The Destroyer

Because I feel like the destroyer is more isolated from what he's serving and fighting for and that's fascinating. The peace, the paradise that it will blaze a trail of sundered stars to bring will never belong to it. The Protector can look over what it's charges have made and see that it is good, the shepherd can see that his flock is hale and healthy and stand strong knowing he keeps these pastures.

But what good is the blade when the war is won? When all the enemies have been destroyed? Can it truly bend itself into a plowshare? Would it want to? Would the shepherd see the blood soaked wolf and let it amongst it's peaceful flock? No matter how well intentioned?

[X] The Destroyer

Either option winning is honestly fine by me, but my preference is the destroyer of worlds.
Mainly so we can make 'Now I am become Death' jokes.
