After everyone's said their piece, and set their jaws, and worked through what's to be done, there's only one conclusion left.
The Masquerade, the Veil, the whole grand conspiracy - it has to come down. It has to be shattered and torn apart and stomped on and ground to ash and dust. It's impossible. It's ridiculous. But you're going to do it anyway.
Wounded and shattered and hurt as you are, you're going to fucking do it anyway.
Who else, other than you?
Raising your head, you look around at the other three, fighting down your fear and pain and anger. Despite yourself, you can't help but doubt.
Who are you, to take on the world?
[ ]✧Kira✧Kira✧Hexxy✧
You're the fire of the group. When Valerie dithers and Ishmerai sulks, you put the spurs to them. When December's head is in the clouds, you pull her back to earth. Your magic, aligned with Art, makes you a transformative force - and now you're going to transform the whole world. It's the least you can do.
[ ] Ishmerai Anathos.
You're the surgeon of the group. When others falter and hestitate, you're there to put them back on their feet. When others dither and deliberate, you act decisively. The rest of the group may not agree with your methods, but they can't argue with your results. If they'd listened to you, maybe things wouldn't have turned out this way. Maybe you wouldn't have one more tragedy to fuel your endless well of Spite.
[ ] Valerie Crawford.
You're the shield of the group. When others need rest, you shelter them. When others would rush in, you hold them back. Your affinity for Duty has helped you keep your friends safe, aided by a level head and a caring heart.
But sometimes, even magic's not enough.
[ ] December Morning-Glory.
You're the head of the group. Fueled by bottomless curiosity and a lust for the Truth, your magic reveals paths where none existed before. This crazy idea is your brainchild, and the fact that the rest have signed on is largely because of their trust in your brilliant mind. The odds of success are slim, the five - the four of you against the whole world. But… You owe it to her.
Rill.
You were the heart of the group. Your magic, aligned with Love, helped smooth over everyone's tensions and remind them what they were fighting for. You kept everyone safe. You kept everyone happy. And now you're gone.
You won't be coming back.
---
You look down at the oath that you wrote up together, the four of you that are left. It's right. It's proper. It's written in Duty and Truth and Spite and Art. And Love. None of you have the talent for it, but how could it not be written in Love?
Reaching out, you clasp hands with the girls you care for so much. Together, you recite it.
"We swear, in the name of Rill, who we have lost,
And in the name of all lost girls,
And all the ones who kept secrets that destroyed them,
And all the magic in the world,
And all the power in our bones,
We will be avenged on the world that destroyed our love.
We will tear down the secrets.
We will tear down the lies.
We will break this masquerade and those who keep it.
Though we are only four, we are a spark,
And from a tiny spark a great blaze will grow.
We are those with the will to use our power,
As much as we possess,
With neither fear of death nor dishonor,
Till the world shatters and our wishes come true.
We are the breakers, who bring Ragnarok:
And though we will hurt many,
there will be a new world after us.
A world without chains, without fear, without secrets,
Where all things will be made whole.
In memory of Rill, this we swear."
"May we never prove false."
"May we never prove false."

Warnings for:
Close and detailed handling of trauma and suffering.
Close and detailed handling of interpersonal relationships, possibly including romance.
Unreliable update schedule due to waxing and waning inspiration.
Lesbians, as is traditional in most magical girl series.
Extremely anime and/or high-femme aesthetic.
Feels, if I'm doing my job right.
PS:
The informational threadmarks are full of background and backstory tidbits. You can ignore them, but there's definitely content in there.
Who do we want to be? What do we want to do? What kind of quest do we want this to be?
Should this be a quest about being the main character, surrounded by a supporting cast? Then Kira.
Should it be about being the one who makes the choice that takes us from where we are to what happens next? Then Ishmerai.
Should it be about managing the team's internal interpersonal relationships, keeping all the parts working together so that everything can keep working? Then Valerie.
Should it be about insight into the situation, discovering options not explicitly presented? Then December.
Should it have been about knowing what is right and wrong, and holding tight to our most sacred values against the winds of turbulent circumstance? That option is closed to us forever.
I was really tempted to go Kira Kira for the name alone, but the summation convinced me.
An interesting thing about traditional magical girl OPs, when you watch enough of them, is how little of the MAGIC you tend to see. This depends on the nature of the story and even when it was made, of course, a Cardcaptor Sakura is going to have very different presentation of this than a Sailor Moon or Pretty Cure. But it's a pretty consistent trend that you'll get at least 40-50 secs or so of... just the backdrop or the characters doing stuff. Part of this is monetary, of course. But I like to think there's another reason.
Like, magical girls are traditionally less about the HAPPENING. Oh, yes, you have your monster of the week or your bad people to beat. But. The core of a lot of them is the characters and how they evolve and develop due to the Calling and as they grow to know each other, or better know each other and make unexpected friends. The plot is closer to a framing device, a plot conceit that gives the characters a playpen to mess around in and grow and change and let us see that in real time, and it is in those moments, when people that start off nihilistic and get hope, or people that were alone or shunned find eternal friends, that MG works tend to shine. (Even mature ones like Sailor Nothing-to use a non anime example-typically work this way; it's entirely a character play and it largely succeeds because of that. So too Madoka.)
So, instead of necessarily the sort of actiony team show that people often kinda perceive a lot of MG stuff as, which Kira Kira doesn't necessarily become but can in my mind's eye, let's kind of potentially put more of an emphasis on characters and bonds and trust and change and hope in a somewhat more unorthodox way than most stories of this type, let alone SV quests.
