On one hand, she may break from the sheer realization your grandpa Sun is a genocidal maniac, your grandma Moon is a megalomaniac psychopath, your other grandmother is also a megalomaniac psychopath, the less said about grandpa Frost, Cetashwayo's take on kindly Russian Santa Klaus, sorta ( seriously, my childhood is ruined, well done ), the better, and that your adoptive parents are... actually pretty nice but apparently wouldn't know what childhood education looks like even if it threatened to utterly destroy them and scatter their bones to the winds. I feel like talking about our respective houses and pasts could be rather helpful for giving Ariela a better idea where we're coming from.

I meant Father Frost is a Russian folklore figure generally corresponding with Catholic Santa Claus.
Not the "Ho-ho-ho good kids" kind,
But neither is he "Wade in the blood of my enemies" Dresden Files King of Winter/Odin/Kringle.

So yeah, reading about Grandpa Frost here is like finding out Tooth Fairy runs a mafia cartel which specializes in illegally acquiring large amounts of calcium and selling it for tidy profit.
