Which is pretty important because it means information never got back. Dead Parrotmons tell no tales!

Theres a difference because it only knew going in, that it was hunting for some human kid.
When it left it knew that there were two partner digimon on the other side, with champion forms.

We'd prefer to keep the bad guys in the dark about our level of competency so they'd fuck around for longer.

The fight was actually starting to wind down when you came in, so it shouldn't be too long before we start exploring the ashes that Maki and her Digimon left of canon on File Island.

    • You probably don't need to step in. Probably. Nobody really looks to be injured. But, well... better safe than sorry.

    "Biyomon? Would you mind giving them a bit of help?" You ask, and your partner gives you as close to a grin as she can manage with a beak.

    "Really? We're really doing this?" Right, she's been spoiling for a fight for a while, since she and Patamon don't really have the chance to spar that often, and she's got more energy than she knows what to do with most days.

    "As a Rookie," You tell her, not even bothering to hope she listens, since she won't even Digivolve unless you allow her to. "Tanemon, Bukamon, you should probably stay back."

    "No argument here," The plant sprout agrees, while the Digimon on Kari's shoulder just gives a quick nod.

    "Are you sure she'll be okay?" Mimi asks you, and you nod, sending your Digimon off with a smile.

    Said Digimon introduces herself into the fight via a stream of fire, of course. The Kuwagamon turns in her direction, looking just a bit mad, only be hit by an attack from Angemon, forcing to to redirect its attention again.

    "Who's that, Tai?" The Agumon asks, turning to your friend.

    "That's Biyomon," he responds. "Which means... there's Sora! And she's got Mimi and Kari with her!"

    "And they draw attention to us..." Bukamon groans. "We've never been able to defeat Kuwagamon before, what makes them think they'll do it just because they've Digivolved?"

    "Angemon's a Champion," You point out, wincing as Kuwagamon successfully swipes at the ladybug, knocking him back into Izzy. That's got to hurt.

    "Well, yeah, I know. He's not the only Angemon we've ever seen. But..." he trails off as Angemon smacks the Kuwagamon in the head with his staff, knocking it to the ground, unconscious. "Did that- did that just happen!?"

    "Apparently," Kari tells him, before running across the clearing to her brother. "Tai!"

    You don't stick around the clearing for very long after that. You just introduce yourself to the new Digimon, make sure everyone understands Kari and Bukamon's situation, and start moving as far and as fast as you can.

    But in which direction?

    [ ] Northwest

    [ ] Northeast

    Yeah, I have no idea what file island's geography looks like, let's ask the natives.

    @SeekerofDreams do the digimon know where File city is? Can they bring us there?

    If yes, i think we all want to go there first thing for more info. If not, we can pretty much go in a random direction and hope to meet someone who does know

    They know the basic location- around the base of Infinity Mountain, same side of the mountain as their jungle, but nothing beyond that.

    For better directions, look up a map of File Island in Digimon World, which is what I'm using for more precise locations, some of which take more from the game than from the anime, because once I realized the dice had placed Maki on File, I decided to go for it, since there was never going to be a better chance.

    So is this Native Forest, or Tropical Jungle? I'm guessing since you used the word "jungle" that it's Tropical Jungle, but I want to be sure.

    Also, for everyone, a map.

     
    If we're in Tropical Jungle, we want to head to the South. Native Forest, to the North. Going North from Tropical Jungle is a Bad Idea.
