Plan mental health seems like a solid choice after what just happened. Also, avoiding the deadman's switch is probably important.

Yeah, we need a regent. Primarily because we're too young to be taken seriously, secondarily because we have no idea what we're doing, and tertiarily because Sasuke has a legitimate claim to the headship if he requests it, and I don't want to fight him on that. Besides I don't think we really want the responsibilities of clan headship unless no one else wants them either.

Honestly, I don't think we should be considering the dead man switch on our decisions. Rin sure wouldn't have known about it.

You need to at least be Honorary Special Jounin to become Clan Head. Something Sasuke doesn't have. If he wants it upon getting the needed rank? We can easily transfer it to him.

Seriously guys. We should decide what kind of build we really want. Or at least, what stats to focus on at the moment.
There are 5 priorities: Naruto, Korin, Headship, Traitor, Power.
1. Diplomacy would let us get Naruto.
2. Korin can be fixed using spiritual healing (get healthy blueprint from spirit and apply it using henge - kind of similar to Edo Tensei).
3. We need to delegate most of the power to advisors including Itachi, Fugaku and couple of other adults.
4. Investigation regarding traitor can be trusted to Fugaku, Itachi, Korin and police experts, some magecraft could help there a lot.
5. Spiritual healing should allow us forcibly awaken MS and then upgrade to EMS (using Shisui's eyes).

Overall we need to grind Chakra control, Yin-release and Henge to develop spiritual healing, heal Mom and Itachi. Then combine Sealing with Formalcraft, give artificial magic circuits to Itachi and teach him basics of Magecraft.

So i had a thought...

Now that we don't have many clan members left, maybe we can do away with clan chief and trial for meritocracy instead?

We killed Akridi and defeated Danzo - we got enough merit.
I'm not sure how killing an old man and not being defeated by Danzo means that we've proven our skill at all things clan chief.

Notice how i said 'do away with clan chief'? That meant having no clan chief. And by 'meritocracy' i meant people do what they're good at.

Rin may or may not be good at leading, but she has shown nothing of that potential talent, and at the very least has no experience in leading.

Ya know what we should say to Obito when we meet Face to Mask?

"My name is Uchiha Rin. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

They gave a seven year old academy student honorary special jonin status and the clan wants to make her clan head.

I mean, we, the players know Rin is exceptional, and she definitely has a bunch of BS perks, but this feels like jumping the shark.

We're down to 30 people in the Clan. A large portion are kids our age. Two people viable for the position either aren't trusted nor want the position. One is heavily brain damaged and not an Uchiha by blood. And one is being put in charge of the Police Force. Odds are, we just flat out are the only one actually qualified.

Why do they think we're qualified though? This isn't like being trained for the clan head, or having someone do it in our place until we're old enough, otherwise we wouldn't have to be special jonin. This ia straight up taking over Fugaku's duties and dealing with the politics and diplomacy. What exactly have we done to make anyone think we're ready for this? Aside from the plot reasoning, it strains suspension of disbelief. Naruto has young prodigies all over the place, but they all work their way up the ladder of promotion, and certainly aren't running any clans while in school.

Maybe the clan should be formally disbanded?

Informally there should still be a sense of camaraderie, but formally the survivors should be wards of the village, much like Naruto and other war orphans.

Wasn't Sasuke technically the head of the Uchiha clan when it was just him?

Anyway, the only people who can select the new head of the clan should really be the Uchiha.

For Rin to be the new head, it sounds like the only survivors were Korin - brain damage, Itachi - declined the position, Fugaku - Possibly under arrest for treason, and a bunch of kids aging from infancy to 12 or so.

Who's ready for some lord of the flies?

Because 'Honorary Special Jounin' is such a laughably Empty meaning? Please note that in any situation this is applicable in you're already fucked by the situation you're in. And again, 30 people all together, and most are unqualified or aren't trusted to do the job. They are desperate and using us as a last ditch gamble.

I think outside of Korin and Fugaku like, a handful of Adults are alive and none of them probably have any skill in Politics. Us? We have political skill. Itachi knows this and probably pointed them to us.

We are also 7.

If we were selected over the other adults, it's likely because the surviving adults are under suspicion of or were arrested for treason.

I am concerned that we don't actually know what the clan head's responsibilities and duties are. I am concerned that if it's a symbolic role, Itachi should really be given the title for political reasons. Even if the actual responsibilities aren't handled by him.

I would like to get into politics though. S++ diplomacy sounds like the kind of thing that stops wars, and we could push for and implement agenda items Rin would believe to be beneficial for the village. Like psychiatrists. And leadership selected primarily on their merits as an administrator rather than their skills as a shinobi.

Honestly the rest of the adults probably are under suspicion. We're most likely a last ditch desperate effort after Itachi refusing to take the position.

Oh wow this is going to suck for Rin.

And the Uchihas do need an actual leader to band the orphans from the attack into a singular family and support structure.

Well, actually, it depends on the level of responsibilities that come with the role versus how symbolic it is.

I think the first thing we would need to do is check on everyone and find out if any of the orphans want to, you know, live in a house with other orphans. Figure out which kids can't take care of themselves and work with the surviving adults to support them. It's going to make the clan even more insular because the clan is going to be a lot of kids' only family. Maybe we could introduce the idea of group therapy? Lord knows everyone involved will need it.

This is really going to cut into Rin's training time. Ah well. By the end of this Rin ought to be so good at diplomacy she can write up a peace treaty even Zetsu and Kaguya are cool with.

If it's not clear, I am going to vote to be clan head. After begging Itachi to please consider taking the role since for political reasons outsiders need to know that the clan head is someone who is a competent ninja and also older than 7.

That's the real reason they made us a "special jonin", isn't it. So that people think we're actually qualified to lead the clan, and the other villages watch out for the insanely dangerous girl who became a "jonin (level specialist)" at 7, you know, instead of laughing at the Uchihas for being led by a 7 year old.
