There were many opponents to choose from but to be honest you only had your eyes on one, who else could it be but the fake priest himself? There truly was no better target in your mind so you wasted no time making a beeline right for him as fast as you could, literally leaving shockwaves in your wake.
Yet someone else kept up with your ridiculous pace, it was the green haired Servant you dismissed earlier. He was headed right for you, his legs seeming to emit a green light as he approached you, but you were still faster if only a little.
That all changed when the silver armored man whistled and a chariot lead by three horses came out of thin air or was that a portal? He then proceeded to jump onto the speeding chariot with such grace that it left you feeling slightly clumsy just from watching him.
Within moments the magical chariot was racing towards you trailing green waves of light behind it. This wasn't even fair you were totally faster than this guy and now just because of some Noble Phantasm was looking to mow you down with his fancy new ride.
His speed obviously didn't count though since he was cheating with his multiple mystical horses, so you were still faster, obviously. Of course, this didn't change the fact that he was gaining on you rapidly, he would reach you before you could get to Kotomine it seems.
Before he could reach you, multiple golden portals suddenly encircled the chariot, before they could stop themselves the horses rammed themselves into powerful Noble Phantasms; effectively killing them off quickly and cleanly.
The Servant though, he jumped out of his chariot before he himself could be impaled with a speed that even you couldn't perceive, how fast was this guy really?
Still you ignored all of this, your goal to completely and utterly destroy the false priest was foremost in your mind. A blast of black light was all the warning you had before you were surrounded by floating runes stopping your every movement.
Probably one of the traps Gil mentioned earlier, honestly this was a little embarrassing, getting stuck because of some drawings on the floor but it wasn't your fault, you hadn't encountered this type of Magecraft before.
"Who? Who dares interfere in my fight?!" The shout reverberated throughout the hall of broken splendor, there was a moment of silence until Gilgamesh stepped towards him.
"I dare Rider, or should I say Achilles son of Thetis?" Gil stated with a smooth confidence but Achilles for his part looked disappointed.
"This is my good fight? A child… go home little boy this is a battle for real men, true warriors not some snot nosed kids." This didn't seem to sit well with your young Archer at all.
It didn't sit right with you either and you would teach this Achilles a lesson... or well you would've if these stupid squiggles on the floor would let you go.
"I believe you'll find this child more than a match as your broken chariot can attest to." Rider frowned at that before muttering "There's no honor in fighting children but they're all children except for the Master and before they are children they are heroes… if I must."
"Very well I, Achilles accept your challenge Archer of Red!" With those words Rider left devastation behind him, his speed easily doubled what he showed you in the before, yet Gil didn't move from his spot arms crossed with a smirk on his face, what was he planning?
Just before the speeding green comet that was Achilles could Reach Gil, golden portals opened bathing your surroundings with a golden sheen but it's where they manifested that made it clear what Gil's plan was.
The various weapons peaking from the golden ripples in the air intruded themselves right between the two Servants effectively stopping Achilles charge unless he wanted to meet the same fate as his chariot.
This might've set the tone for the whole battle as Achilles was racing against Gil's barrage of weapons but while Rider was putting up what seems to be the top of his game, this seems to take almost no effort on Gil's part. you still couldn't help but be a bit worried for him, but you were kind of stuck at the moment besides you had faith that Gil knew what he was doing… hopefully.
Just as you were resigned to being a spectator, the magic that binded you in place faded as suddenly as it appeared for no apparent reason, but you couldn't really bring yourself to question good fortune; So you did what first came to mind, keep advancing.
Yet every step you took more runic patterns emerged from the floor as green gases that you have no desire of finding out what they did blew towards you from above. So these were the traps Gil warned you about.
Just as It seemed you would inevitably experience whatever nasty surprise the Red faction had in store for you, the runes and the gases all dissipated moments after they appeared with a telltale golden finish; Hmm, so that was how you got out, Gil's work on the traps, you were sure of it.
With the traps no longer an issue it doesn't take you long to reach jumping distance of the gaudy throne which in your opinion was quite tacky.
In single mighty leap, you covered the rest of the distance, the impact of your landing shattering the ornate throne sending the long-eared woman flying away before she could react. That was actually a bit of a mouthful, you'll simply call her the elf for simplicity's sake
With her out of the way there's no one around to protect the wayward Ruler Servant and you make the most out of this small opportunity.
Not wasting a moment, you spear your hand forwards intent on impaling Kotomine's heart before he could pull anything, yet he already had a few executor blades drawn. They're practically worthless since your hand goes right through the supposedly blessed metal and into his stomach, much to the fake priest's shock if his face is anything to go by.
Okay, the blades weren't totally useless since they deflected your blow a bit turning a lethal blow into an extremely painful and grievous injury. You quickly take your claws out of his stomach disemboweling him, for his part he doesn't scream in agony only a small grunt of pain accompanies his innards spilling on the ground.
The priest Opens his mouth, but you don't give him time to voice whatever garbage he has to spew, you move your hand again intent on finally finishing this piece or trash, nothing would be left of him except for bloody chunks.
Yet something hits your face going right through your eye, and it's not alone as multiple arrows fly towards you, there was a simple solution though with a single swipe you scatter the arrows making them harmless sticks lost to the wind.
You ignore the Archer taking pointless potshots, why bother going after someone who's blows you can heal in seconds? As if to prove your point the arrow is pushed out of your eye and within less than a second it's as if it was never damaged to begin with.
It seems they noticed just how useless their efforts were as well as they charged at you, it was by no means slow, but it wasn't what you considered fast either. Looking at your attacker you notice she's the albino cat-girl you saw by Kotomine's side earlier.
Just as the Servant gets in your range you nonchalantly swipe in her direction, knocking her to the floor as deep raking wounds start to manifest on her skin, even that ugly boar head on her shoulder is missing its snout now.
A savage grin splits your face as you've gotten rid of the unwanted pest leaving no one to get in the way of your revenge. You slowly splay your claws out savoring the final strike to end the errant Ruler, there would be no saving him this time.
An unwelcome voice interrupts you again "Tauropolos!" just as you were about to kill Kotomine a dark purple missile rams into you, but it was too late, while it did set your aim off you still tore half of Kotomine's torso off, he wouldn't survive for long with those wounds.
"AAAghhh!!" You couldn't really enjoy Kotomine's screams of agony as you were currently covered in dark purple gunk that simply wouldn't let you go! Struggling with all your might didn't do anything but pull you deeper into the sticky morass, it felt absolutely disgusting.
What's more is you can't find the cause of this at all, that albino cat girl smacked right into you and now you couldn't see her at all, she was going down when you did though! Still this is the second time you've been rendered immobile in the past minute it was getting old fast, but honestly this felt worse and the feeling of wrongness only intensified as the seconds passed you by almost as though you felt tired, as if… you were being eaten!
Massive amounts Prana were being sucked out of you at an exponential rate, it seemed as if this nauseating goo was some kind of parasite looking to absorb you inside itself!
You pull your arm free and try to grip the floor to pull yourself out of this mess, but the dark morass seems to come to life as tendrils of putrid purple form to pull you deeper inside of itself trying to envelop you, almost as if it was alive.
If you don't get out soon you won't be able to support your Servants not to mention leaving behind a legacy of being assimilated by an ugly slime monster.
You hastily look towards your Servants wondering if any of them could help you, Gilgamesh and Achilles seemed to be in a heated battle where the green Rider tried to approach Gil, but the golden Archer seemed to anticipate all of Achilles' moves putting various obstacles in the enemy Servant's path. Their battle wasn't something Gil could walk away from though going by the intense look on Gil's face, you'd have to find help elsewhere.
Turning your head, you quickly spot Rider battling with a fellow pink haired girl at first one might mistake it as intense but with your years of experience you could see that the both of them weren't all that keen in killing the other if what you read about their atmosphere was correct, you shake you head Astolfo would be useless anyways.
Slowly, regretfully you turn your head towards your final Servant here Assassin, you didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't her on the ground surrounded by green liquid while the gaudily dressed elf slowly turned towards you.
This wasn't good! You were currently worse than helpless right now!
When the enemy Servant finally looks at you it seems her first concern isn't you "Master!!!" She starts running towards Kotomine with a noticeable limp, you're not sure whether to be thankful you're being ignored at the moment or indignant at being deemed less important than Kotomine.
Strangely you still felt your bond with Assassin firmly in place, was she playing dead or did the elf use something to force Shuten to fall asleep? Regardless she would be of no particular help either and things didn't seem to be turning in your favor anytime soon.
There was only one option left so you didn't hesitate, as you pulled on your core to summon your Marble Phantasm, you worried that you wouldn't have enough energy to supply it when something completely unexpected happened.
The connection to the world snapped into place with an ease that was honestly baffling as you felt barely any drain whatsoever. No, in fact prana was being filtered back into you.
Well this has never happened before.
Already you could feel the world around you hum, waiting for your will to shape it.
First things first, getting rid of the disgusting parasite. Normal methods wouldn't suffice but that's the whole reason your Marble Phantasm is useful, as it can solve problems pure brute force can't.
The first thing you noticed about your predicament was that the gunk was sticky preventing your escape so with a mere thought the bonds tying you together broke down.
tendrils wrapped around you, refusing to let go. It seems that wasn't enough, still you weren't worried in the least anymore as that was only the first step, now
repulsion.
That was needed as you and the nasty goo were blasted apart from one another, yet just after being separated the oozing darkness was already crawling back towards you, with a single minded determination.
Yeah, you were having none of that with a mere exertion of will you broke gravity around the purple darkness sending it floating up in the air, it tried to stretch down but you simply lifted it higher making what was once a serious problem an absolutely harmless curiosity. Who was helpless now huh?
A loud voice interrupted your thoughts as it echoed across the hall "Karna by my command seal come to my side!"
You look towards Kotomine to see him being handed his own severed arm engraved with an intricate pattern of command seals, by the elf.
A bright light manifests itself before you, materializing into the pale hero who ignored you earlier, Karna.
Uhmm yeah, you kind of forgot about Kotomine with that disgusting ooze in the way but it wasn't like you could've done anything, still looks like the Fake priest isn't completely finished yet, well you still have plenty of time to fix that.
three against one is it? Then again with one already having a foot in the grave, another severely injured and even Karna himself wasn't looking too great, gasping for air though he didn't seem to have any noticeable wounds.
Now how to approach this?
[X] Write in Battle plan
A/N: Well it's been awhile
, I hope my writing skills haven't deteriorated too much, honestly this chapter just has too much going on so I feel I didn't write it particularly well.
Arc has her MP up and is ready to wreck face, but she also has some other options available to her.
If anyone is wondering what the ooze is it's the draining mire that is Berserker Atatanta's typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Tauropolos_Skia_Thermokrasia.
A Write in of what "Natural Phenomena" Arc will use to defeat her opponents will award some positive modifiers if they're particularly good, you could also summon the Servants that aren't currently in the throne room atm.
