Interlude 1.8, Eden's Essence
What was paradise? Some would say it is a land with endless bounty, or maybe a land more beautiful than any other, Paradise was dependent on the person. For instance, a bloodthirsty killer's paradise would be a lawless kill zone filled with suffering; A place utterly incompatible with his own. Avicebron's Paradise was a place where all could live in harmony, an Eden where life thrived unhindered, where no hate, scorn, jealousy and other such senseless conflict existed.

Caster's paradise was a dream, an impossibility due to humans, they spread across the planet spreading their filth onto a once pristine world. Paradise had existed, but it was it was they, humans who destroyed Eden with their own greed. They bit the hand that fed them in their endless desire, never satisfied with what they already had always wanting more, utterly insatiable, utterly detestable. He would never accept that though, already he was almost finished with his masterpiece, the engine that would recreate Eden instead of destroying it, a new Adam, a better Adam.

As Caster watched his first Master, Roche slowly being integrated into an unfinished Adam, he had to admit to himself that not all humans were garbage, but still the many outweighed the few, while it was regrettable that an upstanding boy like Roche had to suffer, it was a necessary sacrifice as no ordinary human trash could be Adam's core, no only a child as pure as Roche could ever possibly work.

A sudden pull broke Avicebron's musings, a Command Seal requiring his presence he could barely note, not a moment later he was standing in front of a blonde woman, a new master, Already? He didn't truly care for Fiore or Roa as she wanted to be called, he did what she required of him to continue his work but that was all he felt for the leech, she was the culmination of all that was wrong with the world, a consumptive hole of endless desires that never gave back what it took, the perfect example of Humanity's mindless and destructive greed.

He had no time to waste on another Master drawn to the Grail's promises like they do a fly to honey, she was just another insatiable devourer of the land's blessings. He didn't really remember what he said to her that caused it but before he could notice he was against the floor, pinned into place. Was this woman also not human, just as Fiore?

He ignored his physical body as he probed his bond closely using that combined with his magic to sense what exactly she was. At first glance she was similar to the Leech, but on closer inspection it was like comparing the worst examples of humanity to his Adam, he probed even deeper.

Avicebron beheld enlightenment, this goddess was an Avatar of the earth, she was directly connected to it, holding a connection to the Life Blood of GAIA itself. Never before had Caster held an opportunity to be so close to the planet's will, nor would he miss it, so he explored it deeper, throwing away his physical senses, fully diving into the mental connection he now had with the planet.

At first, he couldn't comprehend it, but slowly it started to make sense, her pleas for help, he could hear it all now as he strained himself further diving deeper into the connection than what any sane man would deem safe, those men were idiots. Caster could not see, he could not feel yet he could hear her cries of agony, at how humans were destroying her, how their depredations would inevitably kill her, she was begging anyone, even those sitting among the stars for aid.

It was everything that he had feared and worse, he would've cried and screamed in sympathy if he could, but Avicebron was separated from his body helpless to express his feelings. Yet as Caster stared into the Abyss so too did the Abyss slowly turn it's gaze and stared into him, he could feel her curiosity, the planet's suspicion and GAIA's anger, he was being judged. It deconstructed him tearing away all that he was piece by piece comprehending him in a way even he himself did not. After what seemed an eternity he felt a sense of acceptance, that he, Avicebron, Caster, Solomon Ibn Gabriel was worthy. Avicebron did not know how to explain what he felt at this moment other than euphoria, but it was broken when it finally spoke to him, it was almost too much for him to understand but he endured.

It spoke not in words but by directly transmitting information into his mind, Caster saw his Adam even though fully complete being destroyed with ease, that the dogs of ALAYA would never fail, that humanity would continue unhindered in its atrocities, that he wasn't enough…

Avicebron's heart felt like it would shatter, was his dream truly worthless never to be realized? Would he never succeed, no matter how hard he tried? If Caster was still capable of moving his physical body he might have mutilated it in his throes of despair. Yet just when he felt all was lost, his spirit was picked up and uplifted as more information crashed into his consciousness.

He saw the truth now, Adam alone was never going to be enough, but Adam was never meant to be alone, the world itself had spoken, and he, Solomon was chosen! As his mind aligned once more with his body his repressed emotions finally found an outlet as he moaned in horror, sympathy, sadness, joy and so many other emotions, he was a physical wreck but at the same time, his purpose had never been clearer.

Caster saw the Avatar of the Earth standing before his body, she must've been patiently waiting for him to see the truth, what he was meant to do with her. "You would make the perfect donor for my Eve, Please become my Golem!"

His rampant emotions must've set him more off kilter than he first thought, since he meant to say this in a more eloquent manner, but it didn't matter surely, she would hear its voice as well, they were comrades against the spreading infection.

He felt a pulse from his connection when the avatar lifted her hands against him once more, something was wrong. Avicebron was confused for a moment, why wouldn't the avatar want to ascend to a purer state, to become the type of being she was meant to be? He looked at her for a moment before understanding flooded his being, she was incomplete he already knew that, the ultimate weapon of the planet was damaged before it could be finished, mentally as well, she was tainted by humanity.

Caster clutched his fists hard enough to draw blood if he wasn't wearing his gauntlets, there must be someway to accomplish his task… he felt the pulse through his connection once again and information flooded his brain, No, she wasn't the one there was another meant to be Eve, the Avatar had another purpose.

Avicebron hastily corrected his error, he had misunderstood, he was such a fool! "Please mercy! I was too arrogant to ask a goddess such as yourself for such a thing… but do you perhaps have any family?" He felt like he was on the right track though, it had to be something similar to the Avatar, he only hoped she would forgive his mistake.

"Yeah, I have a sister…" Caster didn't need to hear more than that, was this sister the one? As if in affirmation he felt a warm pulse splash against his core, she was.

However, family tended to be close, it wouldn't do for him to conflict with his Master "I see, and do the two of you get along?" he didn't have to wait long for a response "No, we hate each other…"

That was everything he needed to know, perfect. This was his appointed task, what Avicebron was chosen for and he would not fail! However, there was one final piece he needed here, something from the Avatar that would help him design the masterpiece that would surpass Adam, Eve. Caster needed to show the proper respect needed, for he was something so beneath her. "Please oh great one! I beseech you, give me a piece of your immortal body for me to begin a prototype for my Eve, I won't let your contributions be for nothing, I will fasten it for your personal use! Please I beg you, I'll do anything!"

He felt the pulse again stronger than ever, not focused on him but his Master, the Avatar. It almost felt like time had paused, like a grand and momentous occasion had just happened but then the feeling passed as if it had never happened in the first place. Caster stared carefully at his master she seemed indecisive for a second, then the pulse hit again weaker than before but still stronger than he had ever personally experienced.

It seems as if it did the trick because his Master gave a small nod of acceptance, "Fine, just leave me alone when you're done." Everything was coming together, for it was the will of the planet itself. Avicebron had never imagined something like this would happen, it was as if all his desperate prayers had finally been answered. He nearly cried tears of joy as he started assembling a golem that would hold the Avatar's essence, soon Eden would be brought forth and reborn by his own two hands.

A/N: So, for those of you who are rightfully questioning how this happened look at the roll on the previous chapter, Nat 100+30(overflow). Now some of you might be saying that's just Arcs roll, but no it includes all her servants as well. For instance, I don't roll Shirou's and Semiramis' search and action rolls separately, they're all under the Red Faction to simplify the rolls for me. Anyways what that means is that Avicebron had a miraculous success, leading to what you see in this chapter, I wanted to put more but I'm already pushing the spoilers with an interlude I never meant to do(I only did it because alot of people seemed confused).

For those of you unfamiliar with Type-Moon Arcueid receives power directly from the planet itself, giving her a direct connection to the will of the earth itself. What happened is that caster tapped that connection, getting something that's usually unobtainable for humans let alone even most nature spirits, allowing what you're seeing now. GAIA the will of the planet dislikes(probably hates) humans who will inevitably destroy her if the continue to live(it's even directly shown in notes) so when she saw Avicebron's idea she really liked it, so she's like hey that's not bad(Not good enough) but let's make it better.

I hope I captured Caster's character well in this interlude, tell me if anything seemed off. This was also the chapter with the least dialogue in it but I really couldn't fit in much unfortunately.

So now we have to deal with Gaea backing Avicebron's plan. Wonderful.

Also, am I the only one getting Caster Giles vibes here?

Avicebron isn't nearly as bad as Caster Giles.

He's mainly a hermit but his passion is Golemancy and his Golem Keter Malkuth. If he can he will do anything to forward those, yet at the same time he in his own way still cares for Humanity.

While I'd be willing to debate whether or not he cares for humanity or his perception of how it should be, I'm mainly concerned by the fact that he has just had a revelation from GAIA. Given that the extinction of humanity is the Earth's goal, the idea of Caster becoming fanatically devoted to its ideals is concerning. Also, he described Arc in a very similar way to how Giles talks about Jeanne. I don't think he'll go full-blown monster like Giles did, but the levels of fanaticism are disturbingly similar and I really can't see his cause ending well for humanity or anyone/thing involved with it.

Why did a lot of people think it a good idea to give Caster of Black some blood....

People saw the big red button and couldn't resist pushing it. This happened over in We Stand In Awe: A bunch of people took the schmuck bait option because it was bright, shiny, and appeared to offer great rewards. This resulted in the MC being crippled and caused the quest itself to break down and die shortly afterwards. Some people just want to watch the world burn and don't care about screwing over the rest of us.

Can we don't have another person for that vote... Instead of roll...

I gave around 30 mins for a tiebreaker, nothing happened so I rolled, and I already wrote the interlude(Which would've changed to reflect your choice) so srry but no.

Glad you caught that Caster at first was only obsessed with creating his Eden but after communing with GAIA let's just say fanatical is a light way of putting it, he's essentially a diehard druid who focuses on golems.

Oh and he still has a connection to GAIA, through Arcueid so until the moment he stops being her servant he'll continue to get revelations from her, he's essentially become a prophet of GAIA.

Can understand how that feel. Have make mistake before on quest but I can said it at least I fail to see the sign for the warning but when people do it because it amuse them...

@Zhaitan, will we be able to run damage control and stop him or it will just be a straight way to an bad end...

Yeah, who cares about humanity... wait. Cakes. Dammit.

But other than that, yeah, this still reads as far too close to being an Otome game. I find this far more amusing than anything though, so it's all good.

We haven't quite been finished getting introduced to the Harem though, so can't really vote for Best Boy, though Gil with a few more years added on has a pretty hefty lead thanks to helping Arc like he did.

Honestly even if Caster does somehow make Eve and destroy humanity it won't be a bad end for Arc just pretty much everyone else, Besides for him to complete Eve he'll need Altrouge so you don't have to worry yet...

Does Caster had to remake a new golem from the ground up to make Eve? Had how long would he need to make it?

Primate Murder will totally be all up in his grill.

Forgotten about Primate Murder...

@Zhaitan, does Primate Murder exist in this timeline for this quest?

A Waxing Crescent 1.4
You couldn't help but feel you had made a mistake when you agreed to Caster's weird request, you're still not sure why you said yes but it felt like the right thing to do at the moment. Now you have to watch as your caster cackles to himself, laughing for no apparent reason other than your assent, definitely not someone you want to spend your time around.

You can see Avicebron pressing a purple crystal on the ground, not a moment later the nearby area bursts up, forming into a vase like figure with many tiny legs at the bottom, sort of like a pitcher plant crossed with an insect, it wasn't the best-looking thing you've seen that was for sure. "Now Master please extract your essence into this container, while it might not be a vessel worthy of holding your blood, it will do as a temporary container, I promise I will craft something worthy of holding it for you"

You didn't really care for Caster's promise, just him getting away from you as soon as possible, so you ripped open your palm with your opposite hand keeping your nails firmly in place. You would heal in less than a second if you removed them, so you kept your talons there, your blood could continue to fall into Caster's odd-looking golem, that should be enough. Even though you had put some blood into his golem Avicebron was still there seeming to wait for something, you frowned in distaste, couldn't he just go already?

Perhaps telling him that his task couldn't be delayed would get him out of your hair faster. "Yeah you do that, Ah you should also hurry, wouldn't do for your important task to be delayed." Caster looked at you his body still on the ground, before he started nodding his head so fast that he looked like a bobble-head.

"Ohh, to receive blessings from the Avatar, I Avicebron am truly unworthy of such things, yet I will soon prove myself. You are absolutely right Master, my mission is of the utmost importance I will delay no longer, hesitation is nothing more than blasphemy!" With those parting words Solomon scattered a kaleidoscope of colored sparks of light, signaling Caster was no longer present.

You could've probably felt where he was going but you were no longer interested, in your mind never talking to that man again would be a major victory. Finally, you were free of the loon, still what exactly were you going to do?

Roa was finally dead, by your own hand no less, you had regained your power; everything was finished, you no longer had to step out of your castle and could finally rest there for eternity. Was that what you wanted though? You didn't know, all you had wanted before was to kill Roa you didn't think of anything past that; never before had you felt so lost, everything you had done had a purpose but now you had none…

"Hey, Master what are you doing with a frown like that on your face? You need to learn to enjoy life, have fun, there's a party going on right now!" you looked towards the compelling voice, It was Shuten-douji, even though she had the most liquor she seemed to be the least drunk of your servants. 'Have fun', was that what you were meant to do now, how do you even have this fun? You've never really partied or enjoyed life as Assassin had called it, perhaps you should?

Suddenly you shook your head again, you remembered her words alone had some sort of hypnotic effect, even now you could feel some odd urge to join in the festivities, all it took was a single look at your other servants to dissuade you though.

Servants huh… now that you thought about it there was one single thing left to do, kill that traitorous priest Kotomine, destroy his red faction and save the world.

It sounded pretty cool, but what would you do after than was done? You didn't know and that scared you a bit, was that all Arcueid Brunestud was, unfinished business and revenge? "Master are you ignoring me? That's not nice, but I'll forgive you… if you join us, you're the star of the party after all!"

That strange compulsion dragged you out of your funk, looking at the diminutive Oni you can't help but be suspicious at why she was suddenly so determined to have you join the drunks, yet it wasn't like you had much else to do. "Oh alright, but I'm not drinking."

Assassin gave a pout, if you didn't know better you could almost believe she was a young child being denied some candy, but then her expression morphed into a devious smile a moment later "Fufufu, whatever you say Master." You didn't trust that one bit, but you didn't have anything else to do either might as well spend some time with your servants.

Assassin led you nearby towards where your Servants were carrying out their small festival, Shuten then indicated that you should sit on what appeared to be a golden sheet on the floor. Might as well see what this is about, you shrug as you sit down, it was actually surprisingly comfortable.

"Ma, Master you are strong right? Wanna to have a contesht…hic?" You turn your attention to Siegfried who had his hand in the position of an arm wrestling contest, you'd rather not, didn't want to break his arm after all "I'll pass Saber, why not test it against Assassin or Arjuna?"

Before you could receive a response from Saber you sensed something approaching you at impossible speeds, you looked to the sky… it was a flying saucer.

You blinked, it was still there approaching you becoming even more noticeable, you blinked again, nope still there! Was this Assassin's idea of a joke? You stare at Shuten's cup of alcohol with suspicion, when did she slip you some?

As you were about to accuse your Assassin of intoxicating you somehow, the saucer fired a beam of power, it was pretty big, quite a nice yellow color it was almost gold, why were there rainbows around it? Oh well, it was no big deal because it wasn't real, right?

As if your thoughts invoked its wrath you could start to feel the magical pressure of the powerful attack, oh shit, it was real!

"Oya, such beautiful fireworks." Oh, right you have Servants you noted as Shuten-Douji clapped her hands at the lightshow, perhaps she wasn't as sober as she appeared? Or maybe she simply didn't have any survival instincts, it was honestly a coinflip in your mind. Siegfried and Gilgamesh simply didn't seem to care over their contest to see who could drink the most without passing out, Oh right, they were utterly useless.

Just as you were about to panic though you heard a confident shout "Agni Gandiva!" You looked towards your right where you spotted your older Archer firing his Noble Phantasm and the unidentified flying object's attack, well it seems they weren't all disappointments.

You could feel your body tense as the two powerful attacks met each other, it burned the eyes to stare at such intensity, but you persevered wanting to see the outcome that might decide whether your friends died or lived. Both Blue and yellow seemed to gain no ground until both exploded midair away from both you and your attacker, it seemed they were equal then.

Still, what was in the air was unmistakably a UFO, a flying saucer, the one that aliens used… Was this your life now? First servants and now aliens? It almost felt as if uncle Zelretch was laughing at you from somewhere, he had once told you that aliens had come to Earth multiple times, but you'd never believed him.

Nope, not a single word of this was going to escape your lips or you would never hear the end of it from him, the feeling of dread only intensified as you thought that, he probably already knew…

You shivered, at least you didn't have to face it anytime soon, hopefully. Still it seems Arjuna pulled through saving everyone from taking that spaceship's laser to the face, still you thought he was drunk "Arjuna you see the flying saucer, right? Oh right, thanks for saving us but I thought you were, uhh not all there."

Arjuna didn't look back at you his gaze firmly on the spacecraft "Yes I do master and while I do not know what this flying saucer is, it seems quite similar to the Viimana." He gave you a brief glance before flicking it back at your mysterious enemy. "You should have more faith in me master, I know how to drink in moderation, unlike some others, it is a virtue after all."

Well, you couldn't really deny Arjuna's reliability, unlike another Archer who's currently looking like he's about to pass out at any moment, really Gil? "Sorry Arjuna, I just thought since you were drinking you would be as useless as the others."

The Indian hero gave a small smirk, and that didn't matter because the spaceship was getting away! This was bad if Uncle Zelretch had proof it would become a nightmare, ugh or maybe you could pretend that this never happened?

What does Arcueid do about the "Aliens"

[] Chase the Aliens down, if you destroy the proof then Uncle Zel might not find out!

-[] Arjuna and Shuten are enough to beat those Aliens.

-[] Use a command seal for your Servants to become Sober again, with your combined might you will annihilate all traces of the Aliens!
Gill will need a separate Command Seal.

[] Nothing, this never happened, Aliens don't exist, this was all caused by Assassin and you're going to bed. In the morning all this extra-terrestrial nonsense will be left behind, hopefully…

A/N: I finished this chapter a while ago, but I held it because it felt idk, wrong? Like it wasn't a great chapter at all, but I realized there wasn't much else I could do without redoing the rolls, so I just pushed it out. So sorry if it seems pretty meh.

Maybe more dialogue could've made it feel better to me but with most of the servants nearly drunk out of their minds it wouldn't have worked well and felt like inane fluff.
