I respect that Honesty but I think anything other than Index is a good choice in comparison to giving a socially maladjusted brainwashed Nun who probably thinks Shakespear is pop-culture a combat apparatus with a learning based side directive and ingrained Rip and Tear instincts that make Doom guy look like the pinnacle of mental healthTempted to choose Accelerator plus the Destroy mission, just for the lulz, since this seems to be him pre-braindamage and he would definitely get plenty of opportunities to indulge in the killing urges.
Ild vote Mikasa if it meant Index not going Doom Marine and inevitably Snapping since regardless of it secondary function Guyvers are Still meant for the purpose of Killing quickly brutally and with efficiency, and the only one I can see not serving as a combat or espionage sub purpose is the To Live choice, and finally Index is a goddamn cinnamon roll why are you people determined to have her rip and Tear her way into a psychotic break since the main instinct of the Armor is to rend the enemy into little chunks.X] Plan: Tiny Nun with Really Big Gun
-[X] Post-Accelerator
-[X] Index
-[X] Detecting small instances of Advent Technology. Estimate at most three large bodies. Can't pinpoint exact locations, but will dedicate computing power to do so.
-[X] To Learn.
Misaka also would be acceptable.

She doesnt actually have Acess unless she makes a consciouss effort and that last Year was mostly tame and surrounded by good people who diodnt want to seriously hurt her,Plus theres a difference between being the Subject of Combat and Ripping someone to shreds with bare hands and having to regrow pieces of yourself and watching the life fade from someones eyes.I think you underestimate Index. The idea that she would snap from a little ripping and tearing is pretty ridiculous when you consider that she perfectly remembers the combined human body of knowledge on magic, including shit like the blackest and darkest texts on hell itself, Aztec blood magic, the Necronomicon and the book of Eibon which is inspired by lovecraftian eldritch beings. She has also been in a lot of combat since every magician and their mother tries to capture her, even if she only remembers the last year thanks to regular memory loss. She maintains her sunny disposition despite that, so i doubt anything the Guyver suit can do would really faze her.
This goes beyond incorrect. Index has the highest mental resistance of all named characters in the setting, because all the books are corrosive to sanity. Most people are driven raving mad or even killed by even a few pages, and she has the entire library, with full awareness of all the contents. To people voting Index remember that she for all intents and purposes is a pacifist she doesnt like fighting and being a Guyver is basically asking to be put through the physical mental and Emotional meat Grinder especially due to the Church of Neccesary evils bullshit with no knowledge of fighting. So why Index at the level of high conflict when she has zero ability to defend herself since she has a killswitch put in her by a church with a presumably Magic trigger that index wont be able to off and can probably activate the Guyver to keep Touma from shutting it down. The Guyver heals like Nobodys business but I dont want to take the chance that a preexisting and deep-rooted Magic would be overpowered by what is Ultimately explainable by weird science
edit 1: You really think a Guyver whose first Instincts are ingrained Rip and Tear would make anything positive happen for Index aside from a psychotic break need to rethink the process since all Guyvers even learning Ones are still COMBAT gear not a learning apparatus.
Edit 2: Plus Index is a massive support role hero and the Damsel in Distress mostly goes away after the churchs kill switch is put offline by touma and if we want her to be more than a side Charecter we can easily do that by seeing if she has esper powers or a badass bookworm who can Sherlock Holmes the shit out of everything she doesnt need a Guyver to be more than a plot device

If someone is to suffer a mindbreak after seeing what they did with a Mega Smasher, Touma is the more likely(Misaka would probably be more careful since she already has a similar weapon, and is familiar with its potential lethality, most of the others except Himegami know their share of atrocity)
Arent Guyvers Directly linked to the nervous system and memory meaning that destroying it would be bad and would also likely have access to Index mana and grimoires with far less compunction against the worst of the magicif the Guyver actually pisses her off enough, she is entirely capable of using her ridiculous knowledge of magic to engineer its demise, so the thing better learn to hold itself in check or it gets wrecked.
Innocence is because we see it from Touma's PoV. The books love the unreliable narrator trope, you should see the Tsuchimikado one, where he lied to himself about someone assassinating his little sister so he assassinated them, and he wrecked the shit out of Touma because he was a Heroic Avenger at the time, and ultimately walked a path of massive carnage...to lure out the one who was PLOTTING to kill his little sister as a backup plan, murder him horribly and then she's back home safely never knowing she was in danger before.Arent Guyvers Directly linked to the nervous system and memory meaning that destroying it would be bad and would also likely have access to Index mana and grimoires with far less compunction against the worst of the magic
And despite the crap thats happened she still maintained an innocence about her and sure there is probably some lost sanity or the like from those tomes but theres a difference between knowing theses rituals and horrors exist to being able to look at it and be unscathed or mentally intact
Its the difference between theory (a book on demons) and the reality(actually seeing one or a live summoning)

Index is also familiar with the operations of the Church, particularly the darker operations. Under Dark Side events and similar crisis, she's calm and in control, whereas characters like Touma or Misaka who actually have SOME kind of normal life will freeze at the sight of atrocity.

I concede and I really hate the unreliable Narrator crap. So, eldritch tomes and church black ops are A-Ok, but blood, guts, and killer instinct are a no-no? I think you are just trying to preserve her image as a cinnamon roll which doesn't exist once you dig beyond the surface.
