You consider the ethereal model before you before nodding, "If Twilight doesn't, Trixie is certain she will know where to look. Which is fortunate, since Trixie is going to be busy." You don't bother looking up from the miniature ritual site has you start weaving your way back through the warehouse.
'Oh, come on! Don't ignore our cute little bat like that.'
You ignore the Shadow as well as you try to focus on the model – you've seen it somewhere before, you're sure. You just don't remember where.
'Maybe I saw it somewhere then – not sure where, but it definitely looks like something from my time.'
If the structure is that old, then Twilight was definitely likely to know. Your internal discussion ends just as a soft set of hoof steps catch up with you. Given how sneaky she can be, you can only assume Chromia is making herself louder for your benefit. "Ma'am," She says as she trots along next to you, "Why exactly are you going to be busy and do I need to fear for your health again?"
"Trixie is going to go after those cultists, as she planned," you reply as you reach the center of the warehouse, from where Captain Armor is giving out orders, "That is, assuming the Princess doesn't take umbrage to whatever Twilight told her – again." You had grown attached to the purple bookworm, you'd admit, but some of her more… panicky habits could be grating.
"So have to worry about the cultists health," Chromia said with a grin and a nod, "got it," her grin faded as the two of you crossed the rest of the way to the captain, "You still worried about the Princess?"
"I'm worried she still doesn't trust Trixie to be Trixie," you reply as you step toward Shining Armor; Chromia stays a few paces back at a respectful distance, "Captain – Trixie is hoping you are having better luck then Trixie."
"Maybe," Shining replies before turning to you and blinking in surprise, "...Miss Lulamoon, why is there a tiny temple on your back?"
"Trixie found the model easier then re-building the actual thing," you reply as you point back the way you came with a hoof, "the pieces are that way. We were going to show it to your sister before reconvening with you to continue our hunt."
"Well, good news then," Shining replies as he pulls out a scrap of paper, "All the stuff in here is from all over the Equestria – going to keep us busy for a while looking into them – but a few of the smaller pieces are from a local silversmith shop," he levitates the paper over to you, "Take a look at the address."
Your eyes narrow as you read the address, "This is in the same District where Silver's parent's were murdered."
"If they had a pony in the area, why'd they have people hunting the couple?" Chromia asks as she peers over your shoulder, "Why not just wait for them to come through again?"
"They couldn't be sure the couple would come around again," you suggest, "Perhaps their trailing just happened to end up there?"
"Unlikely," Shining replies, "The couple wouldn't have gone very far – that street was where they ran into you, after all. You're missing the obvious piece-" he tapped on the paper with a hoof, "This might be in the same district, but its on the other side of the district. This place is probably just a supplier."
"Which means it might not have been cleared out," Chromia says with a grin, "Excellent!"
"We have to go find Twilight first," you reply with a sigh, "Trixie misses when all she had to juggle were flaming knives."
"Why wasn't that in your act the other night?"
You shrug at Shining Armor's question, "Ceiling was too low. Chromia and Trixie demonstrate it for you after our little errand." You give the captain a lazy wave as you head out of the warehouse, while Chromia snaps off a quick salute before following after you.
By some act of fate, no other cultists bother jumping you on your way back to the castle. It might have to do with your demonstration back in the cellar, assuming word had gotten out. It could, possibly, have to do with the Bat Pony spy at your side.
Or it was the half-dozen guards following behind you. It was anypony's guess, really.
The guards peel off once you reach the castle gates, and as you work your way up the steps you can't help be feel that you've done this before…
The doors swing open, as you step into the foyer you see Princess Celestia surrounded by a gaggle of aides and staff – while Twilight hovers in a hall just off to the side. "Ah, yes – now Trixie remembers this."
"Remembers what?" Celestia says as she signs a scroll with a flourish before turning to you.
"Nothing," you reply with a wave of your hoof, "Trixie imagines Twilight Sparkle told you about our research?"
"She did," Celestia replies with a nod, "But this seems like a poor place to have such a discussion, and my tea time is coming up – would you care to join me in the garden?" she looks behind you and Chromia and smiles, "Your escort is more the welcome to join us, if you would like."
