Also, why does the Warframe only level up when the status quo is upheld? The option to choose it way back when this quest started said that you 'would cleanse the corruption by any means necessary'. Doens't That mean CHANGING the status quo?
You awaken Monday morning and take a shower. As you step out, drying your hair with a towel, you see some men in moving uniforms preparing to move Harrow to the PRT building, seemingly by crate. His new black, white, and gold color scheme that you chose for him reflects your mental state when you first built him - delirious yes, but mostly angry and betrayed. Tinting the gold had taken forever without spray paint, but it was relaxing in a way.
Upon your return to reality when a drop of water falls on your nose from your hair, you realize you could tell them not to box him up - sure, it will make transit easier, but not doing so would set an important precedent of how to treat your warframes. They might be biomechanical golems, but they were still somewhat intelligent when not shackled to your control - about the intelligence of a small child. You'll talk to them after you've finished getting dressed.
You soon encounter your next dilemma - what to wear. It would seemingly be best to wear what you did at Winslow, that being baggy clothing that reveals neither your figure nor your pasty skin, but that might send the wrong idea to the interviewer. On the other hand, wearing something flashy like a dress would be foolish in a city like Brockton Bay, even if Arcadia is in the better part of town. You have both sets of clothing laid out on your bed and are still thinking about it when your father shouts from downstairs, "Taylor, you better get a move on - the P-'moving men' are about to leave, which means its time for you to get going!" You're going to have to make a decision on both problems - what will you choose?
Harrow?
[]Have Harrow ride in the van normally - set a precedent for your Warframes to be treated like people. He may stir up some trouble and make them uneasy.
[]Have Harrow deactivated, but not in the crate - set a precedent for your Warframes as creatures, but not people. He'll make them uneasy
[]Have Harrow ride in the crate - set a precedent for your Warframes to be treated like objects. People won't treat him like he's alive
You?
[]Choose an old dress given to you for your 14th birthday, despite the risks.
[]Wear your normal baggy clothes, screw first impressions.
[]Wear a mix of flashy and concealed, even if it looks a little strange at first.

So things are afoot... now to see what comes of it. Also, I remain unsure how we´ll be received by the authorities -a Warframe is not a gentle thing you show off to the adoring public; it´s a weapon of war sent out when something needs to die right the fuck now. Except that goes against established conduct of Cape affairs.

It might be a good thing that Taylor has Harrow, then - his powers don't do direct damage at all. They're just support powers - including chains that can easily restrain opponents without the power to break said chains.

we have no idea how self aware the warframes are so it's better to treat them as much as normal people as possible.

Indeed. Until we can figure out exactly how smart they are, best to treat them as sentient.
.....Hey, I just realized something - Taylor has a huge advantage against everyone else thanks to the focus system. I mean, most people don't trigger with powers that can actually show you how to use them better than you already were.

You flag down the undercover PRT agents just as they were about to put the lifeless Harrow into a wooden crate filled with packing peanuts - only useful as camouflage in the unlikely case the gangs picked the van for a mugging, considering how durable the warframe was even with its shields down. "Sorry, but do you mind if he rides in the van with you guys?" you ask the leader once you reach them. One of the grunts begins to comment "Why should we-" but is silenced by a well disguised elbow to the solar plexus from his neighbor. The leader looks at you quizzingly, asking "You sure? We're not responsible if something happens to it." You nod in agreement, and the squad leader motions for two of the men to take the empty crate to the van, including the mouthy one, while handing another the key so they could bring the vehicle closer to the doorway. The squad leader and the last PRT grunt move to pick up Harrow by his legs and armpits but you hold up your hand to stop them, instead walking up to him and putting your hands on either side of his face. Void energy streams from your palms into the Warframe until his activation lights blink on. Harrow stands on his own, and turns to you for instructions. You subvocalize for him to follow the squad leader to the Protectorate offices and listen to their instructions, adding an order at the end to stay out of trouble if possible. He returned an affirmative, and he and the squad left.
With that out of the way, you turned to your attire. You picked out a nice shirt you used to wear to parties, a pair of jeans with holes in them, some nice dress shoes, and to complete the attire the baggy jacket you used to wear. You looked good, but at the same time not like a target. Good enough for you, you grabbed your bag and bus pass and left home.

You arrive at the school with a few minutes to spare for your interview. The secretary at the main office gives you a clipboard with some basic information to fill while you wait for a counselor to become available for your interview. The first few questions were your basics - name, age, gender, etc, but one of the questions is "Are you a parahuman or related to a parahuman?" There's a note underneath that the question is optional and all information on the sheet is kept confidential. How do you answer?
[]Tick the answer box that says yes (Honesty)
[]Leave it blank (Neutral)
[]Tick the no box. (Deceit)
True, but they still carry weight. For instance if one is seen breaking them they will get bad PR. This effects both gangs and the prt. For instance when a member of the empire killed fluer in her home it became widely known which reflected badly on the empire. Thus kaiser killed fluers killer and stuck him on a cross.

Hey, I just realized something - if Taylor has access to the focus system, well, she might be even more broken than she could already be from just controlling a warframe.
After all, she has a power that shows her how to use it better.

Pretty sure you already said this before, and learning focus won't come until Taylor builds her Somatic Link. Right now the only thing she can do with void energy is turn on warframes and control them within 300m.

You felt no need to answer the question at best, and you were beginning to get suspicious of it before you just moved on with the rest of the questions - no need to answer or deny it. The rest of the questions were routine for a high schooler, with a note at the bottom asking the student in question to attach their latest physical results to the paper, which you do. Giving the set of papers back to the secretary, you wait for the counselor to call you. It takes a few minutes, during which you hear an animated conversation between the apparent counselor and a student that has gotten in trouble. The soundproofing of the room prevents you from picking up the specifics, but you get the idea that the student doesn't actually think he or she didn't do anything wrong.
Eventually, the door is opened, and a pretty blonde stomps out of the office. You could have sworn you've seen her somewhere before, but you can't place it. A homely but stressed voice calls for you to enter her office. Once inside you greet the counselor, a grandmotherly woman who introduces herself as Ms. Ripp. "Sorry for the commotion," she apologizes as she arranges the papers on her desk and offers you a Macedonia nut cookie, which you decline. "Victoria is a handful on her bad days, and that's before you add powers and fame to the mix." Now you realize why she seemed so familiar - it was Victoria Dallon, AKA Glory Girl, of New Wave fame. The young cape was somewhat infamous for her fiery temper.
"But we're not here to talk about her. We're here to talk about you, and your chances of getting into this school. I've seen your file, I know what happened to you at Winslow. Most adults who went through an experience like you did would lose the will to live, let alone a teenager. What makes you different?"
[]I have a goal in life, and nothing will get in the way of that goal. (Gain Dogged trait, giving a boost to FRT but a penalty to CHA in situations where retreating is the best option. Progress towards Harrow rankup.)
[]I promised to myself I would not give in no matter what the situation, and that includes the locker incident. (Gain Advanced Survivor, improved willpower over standard Survivor trait. Progress towards Atlas unlock.)
[]I have things left to do it this world. I have yet to make my mark, and I want to make sure everyone knows my name. (Gain Ambitious trait, granting bonus willpower when you do an action that benefits yourself over others. Progress towards Nidus unlock.)
