• Hi! Liked your Heromaker's legacy. Hope there's more, though.

Yes, there's more - and apparently there is a flipping character limit on these responses, so see the story shortly for a more detailed response.
I have a vague recollection of reading through the Heromaker's Legacy thread (years ago, at this point) and seeing you make reference to writing your own text editor to put on your Android phone. Did you ever make a public release of that? (PM to respond is fine too; I've just got a friend who could use something like what I think I remember that being.)

I did not write my own, I just created a customized build of the open source Turbo Editor by Vlad Mihalachi. At first I just added a word counter to it, but later I went back and added a speak-as-you-type function to make it more usable with a chorded keyboard. Basically it just says each letter as you type, reads the last word when you hit space, and reads the last sentence when you hit period.
Although this might be a little paranoid of me to ask, do you ever plan on completely abandoning heromaker?

No plans to abandon at the moment, but writing has taken a back seat to life. Actually posting has taken even more of a backseat to life!

I have about one hundred and fifty thousand words of this banked right now.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I never saw any indication that new items had appeared on my profile.
Wishing you a late Merry Christmas and an early-ish Happy New Years. Or just an easy (and on time) Happy Holidays!

    Hope everything is well!
Can I ask where I can read the Heromaker Legacy from Nanowarimo?

Link is in my signature. It is on this site as Break Them All; not fully posted yet.
Only recently started reading your stuff...

In "Break Them All - 10 - Almost Ex Nihilo" you say:
    >>conjure pure uranium-238, no time needed to be spent carefully gathering natural uranium, no expensive industrial processing to slowly eke out increasing purity of 238U versus 235U.<<

Was it deliberate you reversing the roles of U235 and U238?

Yes, on the basis of it being a random thought. It seems like a natural enough error for a chemistry major - remembering the two relevant values, but getting them mixed up. The sort of mistake you might make on a test and bludgeon yourself over for the next three weeks. "How, how could I have gotten that wrong! Aaagh!" *tears hair out*

Also just a nod to the knowledgeable chemistry folks in the audience - para reads perfectly fine to someone not in the know, but anyone actually familiar with it gets hopefully an extra little joke, picturing him testing it at some point, conjuring a perfectly pure 100% block of uranium of the right size at some great distance from himself, and then puzzling over why nothing happened.

Do you dare go and look at it to try and see? Kind of like going and poking at one of the unexploded V2s in London after the Blitz.

Also, first time really trying to respond on this profile thing. 420 char limit is very annoying.
Had a question about a BtVS Xander fic you mentioned that I can't find. Do you still have it online, and if so, where?

Edit, never mind, found it. I love your stories. Your world building is very developed.
I'm on my second read through of Heromaker's Legacy, and even though I know what is coming, at the end of every chapter I still want to keep reading more. Well done sir, a most impressively wrought story.
    Just started reading Heromaker.

She found a link to knitting, and checked on it to see if it might be an alternative, but found that it would be even more complicated, and basically demanded a rod to run the loops onto.

I know have an image of Taylor sitting in a rocking chair, humming while knitting strands of spider silk from giant spiders on her lap.
