I then made a series of increasingly deranged graphs, which then necessitated me to map out individual Chancellor elections and so on and so forth. With the help of @jolou, this soon developed into a full blown (though not very long) timeline where Palpatine is defeated at the 11th hour, and the Republic endures.

The posts will alternate between summarising political developments during each Chancellor's term, and detailing the elections to the Chancellery every four years. Its a wacky concept, but lets roll with that. And just to point out, the dating system used is the canon C.R.C calendar, where in '958 C.R.C is equivalent to 19 BBY.
That said, lets begin with the rather brief divergence, before we move into what comes in the first 5 years after Palpatine...MoreLess
