Inquiring Mind

This account belongs to a plural system, meaning multiple minds in one brain, basically. It was created by one of our members, Claire, (back when we only had two members), but there have been a number of shakeups since then and these days this account is mostly used by Quinn (they/them). I'd been preserving it mostly unchanged because this was really important to Claire as basically the first internet-facing identity that was specifically hers, but it's gotten to the point where it feels a little weird to be almost impersonating her in my presence on SV.

Hi. I'm Claire of "Ben and Claire" or BC system, either works. Basically, I am one of two people inhabiting our brain, which is admittedly pretty weird by conventional standards. For more info on the topic in general, see this introductory resource. For my situation in particular, see this post.

That whole thing aside, I'm just a weird nerd like all you other weird nerds. Interests include literary science fiction, far left politics, hiking, space exploration, cognitive science and a wide range of technical topics. By day, I am one half of a machine learning specialist currently working in industry, even if I'd prefer to be doing research.
