    If you ever do a new Battletech SI, ever considered starting with a LAM, a K-1 dropshuttle or even a Vampire drop-shuttle/ship?
    Perhaps with a Scout jumpship and a modified Behemoth, so it has two dropship repairbays of 5000 ton, four explorer grav decks and two small factories of 2500 tons?

    Think covered ops style prospecting, here, with room to join the trade lanes and hide from all the folks wanting you death for such a thing.
    Metal processing might take up too much room for this and she would need a frame reinforcement that eats up space as well.
    Maybe looking at the princess and the Snowden, so a luxery passengier deck could be added with a grav-deck?

    Let that ancestor having seen the signs on the wall and when his pueblo got clipped, invested in something that could weather the times a bit better.
    Can recharge station direct connection be used to put the LF battery on the Behemoth, for the Scout?

    Yes, the perfect platform to hunt datacores and the like.
    And who knows, maybe it was a Amaris Coupe time, emergency restoration of capabilities, using on hand resources.
    And part of it's tasks, was to lay hidden HPG relays and relocate personal incognito.
    Add some history to it.

    I'm almost afraid to ask but... Any updates? It is one of the most enjoyable BT fics I have read.

    Mate I am so sorry - Every time I sit down to type there is something wrong with the PC I am on at the time - Office has mysteriously been deleted, its lost its license so I can't type anything, etc etc - or life throws something in the way - work gets hella-busy, my daughters are being tiny little baby buttheads, etc etc.

    I have been putting words down, but I also restarted again - I honestly don't like Chapter 1 as much in this version (V7.2) but the rest feels like a better story, if I can get a roll on words on paper that'd be great
