    I think it actually creates a really interesting contrast given the Byzantines fixating on and using a bunch of fire. Harnessing fire here isn't presented as supernatural, it's presented as an act of civilization. It's not a wizard throwing a fireball, it's a bunch of experts building bombs and making chemicals.

    Indeed, fire is not a tool of the unnatural in Balkan conceptions. "Prometheus-figure dragging it down from the mountain" infested cultures all across the Balkans, letting it stay relatively pure as a tool of man, rather than a weapon of evil.

    I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the RoB in action, as well as the other two major factions in a fight. The contrast with our whole fire and steel theme will be cool to see in action.
