    Can you explain to me what sousuke future build would look like? Cause heavy weapons are cool (largely due to large advantage. picking katanas would suck.)

    You seem to know your shit. I keep hearing about defender of the wall and how the hida school isn't that good after a while.

    Basically, the combination of Mom Armor, Hida Bushi, and Defender of the Wall gives us a hefty DR. The combination of Mom Armor and high(ish) reflexes means we're not all that easy to hit. A high level of Heavy Weapons means that we can hit the foe pretty reliably for a *lot* of damage, and Defender of the Wall gives us some extra goodies when fighting tainted things.

    In particular, it eventually becomes outright impossible for most tainted to harm us with a katana when we're fully kitted out. Defender of the wall prevents exploding dice, and our DR gets high enough that it's not possible to keep enough damage without exploding. Adding kept dice on damage is really hard, and the katana (like most weapons) maxxes out at Xk2.

    Now, there are ways for them to get around that (DR penetration, explode on 9+, etc) but those tend to be rare and special things. Run-of-the-mill enemies won't have them.
