• I'd just like to say thanks, since your work with House Tindomiel had me considering how Asur might worship Hekarti legitimately and beyond being interesting itself, that led to Tethia and she's good fun to write

Happy to hear it, the Asur worship of Cytharai is an often overlooked corner of the setting that can add a lot of character to them.
Quick question, but in Divided Loyalties, is there a particular form of Ghyran the Jades prefer over the others in the Cardinal, Elemental, Mystical trio?

The Cardinal/Elemental/Mystical division is a post-Teclisean worldview that the Druidic paradigm doesn't fit neatly into, but Cardinal would be the closest. Elemental is growth and nourishment, Mystical is the plants themselves, and using both at the same time in the same way the Jades do is arguably Cardinal, because it can be seen as focusing on what Ghyran can do better than any other Wind.

    Ah, thank you
A question: the Mistwalkers you mentioned when you made the list of Ulgu wielders that might have made Shadow Steed, were you talking about the Uniforms & Heraldry sort? Because I keep feeling like there was another group called that, but when I look I don't find anything which makes me think I might just be running a few different things together in my head.

Yeah, the Mistwalkers of Yvresse. You might also be thinking of the Shadow-Walkers of Nagarythe or Wulfrik the World Walker, or the Asrai Scarloc, who is sometimes called Mist Walker.

    Ah, thank you.
Is it alright by you if I post an omake in thread of Mathilde attempting to recruit a Windseeker (Estalian wizard) from my quest for WEB-MAT in thread? It might be awhile before I have it done.
Can you give me some advice on how your thread has gotten so much discussion in it? I'm trying to promote more of it in my thread.

I don't think it's because of any one decision I've made, more a result of longevity. DL has been going for quite a while, that means that plenty of things to talk about have accumulated.
Your quest is great. Really big inspiration for my Twin Holds Quest

How long did it take your quest to get 10+ pages of discussion per post, or 50+ likes
    Boney
    Boney
For discussion, about turn 5ish, so perhaps 30k words or about 15 updates in. Not sure about likes, I can't remember how many I was getting back then.

Ah. Thanks. Just gotta keep going and hope attention increases.
Just wanted you to know you were a huge inspiration for writing my own wizard/warhammer fanfic and now quest.

I hadn't written in a long time, and it helped me get back into that particular hobby.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful story.

I'm happy to hear that, and wish you all the best in your writing endeavours.
What a great quest. Imma play this one as a QM with my kids when they grow up. Thanks BoneyM, I alway get a happy smile when I see a notification of an update to Divided Loyalties.
Boney I wish you have a happy new year together with your loved ones. I hope this 2020 brings you joy and happiness aplenty. Thank you for brightening our days through the journey of Mathilde.
In case I forget to say it when the time comes, have a happy holiday season (assuming your break is related to that) and thank you for bringing cheer to my life.
Three updates in one day, each a bigger bombshell than the last? That's legit one of the most impressive Creative Writing feats I've seen in my time here and on SB.

They were spaced out like that largely because I wasn't sure where to go with things for a bit there. I'm glad the pacing of it worked out so well.
You are a genius BoneyM. Divided loyalties is one of the high points of the day for me and I eagerly await each update. Thnk you for the terrific and quality work you give us.
Fun fact: Some spreadsheeting of the first page of the "highest reaction score" leaderboard page reveals that while you are in 15th place for total positive reactions, you are in 4th place for mean reaction score per post at 35.07, behind only @mp3.1415player, @shadenight123, and @CmptrWz (who has a truly, deeply absurd score of 74.26).

This is particularly impressive considering how active you are answering questions etc in your own thread. And now I wish there was a leaderboard for "mean reaction score of threadmarked posts", because I'm real curious how that would shake out. (Probably some account with two posts, one of which was an omake in a popular worm fic thread.)
Only 2 month of relative peace and quiet, and now it's happening again

Similar to how one line of you proposing "dwarven shenanigans" as an option somehow generated a lot of Rule 2 infractions.

Perhaps. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was the guy complaining about the mods, and possibly one or two readers getting weird about killing the dragon.

I don't know how you manage the patience to answer the sheer volume of questions. Particualrly as so many are about cooky ways to acquire Ultimate Shiny Magic Power. Like, Dragon Form via Item Oscar/Wolf/Mathilde... :???::thonk:
    Patience of a saint?

Wow. I feel even more sympathy now- that's more restrained than I think I could be.

In the meantime, I'm trying not to worry about the "Mage who sold the world" part. ;)
I am so incredibly sorry that a handful of my fellow posters couldn't get the message.

None of this is in any way your fault, BoneyM. If you put 300 random people in a room, statisticaly someone in the group is going to be a jerk. That the posters in question repeatedly ignored both you and the mods is entirely their own doing.

Yeah, you told them to stop, and you haven't been shy about telling people when to stop poking at things, you've done nothing wrong. The main reason it was locked according to a councilor I spoke to-
