    Discussion in the megica thread is heated as always, but I don't think it's been particularly bad recently. I hope you aren't worried over it.

    There are some outstanding questions in the meguca empire thread about possible solutions to our latest cornering.

    One of them is the suggestion of having untrained girls hunting while in Serena's aura, and wondering what the safe level of exposure is.

    That was literally the exact suggestion I made before; she can't concentrate her units to deny us from doing heavy, possibly irreversible damage to her if we pursue guerilla warfare.

    Of course, I got flamed off the thread by Alectai's fanboys for it...

    Honestly I feel like every forum has its problems. The best forums in terms of enjoyment tend to be the small ones, the smaller the community the closer they are. But on the other hand those small forums have very little content. It's all a tradeoff.

    I suppose you could justify detestation of such a post (saying you like a work) as a 'shitpost' (empty post), but that occurs on small forums too. Dark Lord Potter, for example, has a massively smaller userbase than SV/SB and little fresh content, but people have gotten chased away for doing exactly as you've said.

    QQ is the best, but there's no SFW content there?

    Out of the three of SB/SV/QQ yeah I'd say that's accurate, but I don't really frequent other forums these days so there's probably other ones out there.

    I took a class on orbital mechanics in college. Even forgetting most of it this was still obviously wrong.

    Just a variant on my usual long running depression. But basically taking the most negative conceivable viewpoint on things, rather than even the most negative reasonable view.

    Though seems like a lot of people on SV battle with depression.

    True dat. Negativity kindles a sort of creativity. Though as someone once pointed out somewhere about Van Gogh: his paintings are nice, but humanity did not deserve his work more than he deserved to be happy.

    While I can't really offer anything besides a generic 'I'm here for you, brah,' I do have one piece of advice if you haven't already seen it: learn to be selfish. If you need time to yourself, take it. If you need to read silly shit, do. If you really want to do XYZ, try. I won't call it a cure, it's not, but it does help.

    Hey, hope you aren't feeling too overwhelmed by writing the update. In thread a couple of us have suggested breaking it up and posting it in pieces. For example, the Nagoya expedition. That's not at all uncommon for QMs to split that out into it's own update, and then count that as a second update. Just hoping to relieve some of the pressure on you. :)

    Nah, the new world of warcraft expansion. I had quit WoW around a year ago, but somehow ended up resubbing and now I'm spending all my time on it, lol.

    It's always WoW. I'm starting to wonder if anyone even remembers the old RTS.

    TBH, I've never played WoW. I was a fan of pretty much every RTS blizzard ever made and was actually pretty pissed when WoW came out.

    Having little information on the subject seemed fitting to me because players hadn't done anything which would provide more concrete information on the subject.

    I'm not sure if converting it to pure empire builder would work well for me or not, it's hard to say.

    Maybe. A bit of foreshadowing would have been nice. Perhaps some rumors that the Imperials were said to be moving against wookies. Even if we kind of expected it a little, it was still very sudden and caught me, at least, off-guard. Perhaps some others felt the same way.

    You could still put in some character pieces from time to time, perhaps after important achievements/events. But I think a pure Empire Builder could work pretty well with the setting we have right now.
