Betrayed and left to die, Taylor awakens an ancient, cosmic force. Winslow burns, and she is reborn—no longer weak, no longer human. The world isn't ready for what she's become.

As in that famous group of faux Chinese curses from an Earth our unwitting victim hero will never see again.
A high school teacher goes to bed one day and wakes up in a fairly strange Marvel Comic Universe where he discovers that he is "destined" to become the "Wyrm of Apocalypse." One who would define conflict in a world of conflict. As the concept of conflict has emotional, spiritual, economic as well as physical meaning the confusion becomes clear. Obviously such a vague prophesy makes his life very interesting.
Interesting as in 5 parts pants shitting terror, 3 parts balls busting hard work, 2 parts adrenaline rush high, 1 part moment of awesome variety. As anyone with the misfortune opportunity to experience the Comic Marvel Multiverse or Worm's Earth Beta could tell you that the bullshit never stops. Well unless you make it stop.
Our Intrepid warrior's adventure didn't start in a dark alley but that's where it got interesting.
Hints
The definition of wyrm can be taken literally, as in a worm that is used to bait a fishing hook. Though it can also mean a dragon, spiritual appendage or a person lacking social graces.
Apocalypse can mean final and utter destruction. It can also mean great and often violent change or revelation of great truth. It's also the name of one of the oldest mutants in Marvel's franchise.

To the fans of the original version let me say I have changed a few things. I've gone over spelling issues and fixed some lore mistakes. I also improved the overall presentation of the paragraph spacing. Feel free to let me know if I don't have my characterizations down as I don't know Worm as well as I do Marvel.MoreLess

A demigod is slain, and a mistake involving doors occurs. Someone who doesn't belong crawls through and comes out the other end. The Path to Victory shifts, as two outsiders form a bond amongst filth and grime.
As the saying goes, better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Look out Earth Bet, cause Toxin and Taylor are coming, and there's gonna be carnage.

May Parker (once known as Spider-Ma'am), as well as her husband Ben and nephew Peter, adopted Kenzie about a year before our story starts. Each chapter is from a different POV, and it focuses primarily on Kenzie, the Parkers, and the changes that come from love, trust, and an old woman with spider-powers. The story is a bit silly at times, but I wrote it to focus more on dialogue, humor, and family/friendship than anything else.MoreLess
