THE WORLD OF MUNDUS, A Science Fantasy World. (Need your help on building this world!)

Greetings from Aperture!

For the past three months, I've been thinking of Science Fantasy for some reason. This has been bolstered by the release of Destiny Guardians in Korea.

The idea first started from a simple brainstorming of a Familiar of Zero fanfiction, where Halkeginia was met with a scientifically advanced world with magic. Then it bloomed into something bigger. I gave a name for the world, drew up some basic protagonists and even thought of a basic magic system (Which is discarded for now) and a basic map. Thus came:

The World of Mundus. A world like Earth, but unlike Earth. A world where science and magic exist like a farmer and his crops.

The main thing about Mundus is that the world is like a central hub to some of my crossover fanfictions that I may write in the future. I want to receive help from you guys so that I can make Mundus a credible and rational world that can be easily understood and function just like how we do on Earth.

The things I need right from you is:
-A credible magic system (I wanna break the stereotype of Fire, Water, Earth, Air. Maybe something like Construction, Destruction, Manipulation?)
-The logical explanation of the symbiosis of three sapient species.
-Suggestions of historical events that mark as turning points of the history of Mundus.

Here's what I wrote on my Google Docs so Far:

BASIC STUFF:
The World of Mundus is a world like Earth. However, unlike the world where we live in, Mundus is has magical aura in the form of Ethera Radiation. Along with that, there are many creatures and elements that exist in this world that would only exist in fantasy books, be it dragons, manticores, leviathans and even dinosaurs and phoenixes.

The World of Mundus is comprised of five continents, each representing the continents of Earth.
-Aouda (Asia)
-Hera (Europe)
-Orthona (Australia+Africa)
-Phileas (North America)
-Nuevea (South America+Antarctica)

Nations (So Far):
AOUDA:
-Balhae
-Hong
-Medina
-Belikstan
-Rishabha
-Siambos
-East Bahri
-West Bahri
-Vanga
-Ankor
-

HERA:
-Daneland
-Valkyria
-Gaul
-Corona
-Aegis
-Svarog
-Lupkow
-Vasco
-Balka

ORTHONA:
-Meridia
-Botswanga
-Gotoro
-Kamanbya
-Lombasa
-Ibikiwe
-New Comberth
-Coast of Moloni
-

PHILEAS:
-Ironche

-Ferngill
-Arcacia

NUEVEA:
-San Misericordia
-Tekilihue
-Costa Alegrarse
-Vespucino
-Solis
-Danelandian Guapada
-Guapada
I'll draw the Global Map ASAP. If you have some suggestions of countries, feel free to comment!

MAGIC SYSTEM: TBA (Need your help!)

The World of Mundus is ruled by three Sapient species that currently exist as of the year 2042. There used to be four, but became extinct six hundred years ago.

-Humans:
Humans are the obviously the dominant species of Mundus, with the total population reaching 7 billion. Back when they lived with the Elves, humans acted as the Brawn of society, building simple machines to build historical monuments and forge tools for combat and creativity while the elves were the Brains, mastering magic, architecture and art.

-Thaumians:
They may be regular humans at first glance, but Thaumians are humans that can sense Ethera Radiation and use it to cast magical spells. The probability of a human possessing the rare genetic mutation that lets them attuned to magic is so rare that only approximately 12 percent of humanity are registered as Thaumians.
Even the Thaumian genes are unpredictable, as even both parents are Thaumians, there is still a fifty percent chance their offspring isn't, and vice versa. Due to this, countless historical attempts of making magic-based nobility had failed.

-Synthesians:
First built in 1985, Synthesians are sapient and sentient androids that live alongside with humans, first built as an experiment of combining necromancy and the technology of that time. Early designs of the frames were like seeing an android solely built for combat with only the most basic functions such as walking, running and using objects. With the peaceful demonstrations of Synthesians in Hera in the year 1991, development of frames that look similar to humans with more functions such as eating, tasting and be intoxicated by alcohol began. Even though it's been fifty years since their first creation, Sysnthesians along with Thaumians are still being discriminated by extremist groups of humans as of now.

-1484: The Extinction of Elves
=Due to a continental plague that swept across Hera and Orthona, Elves, the masters of magic, art and literature, became extinct. This event marked the end of the Medieval Era, as Humans started to find ways to continue their existence without their pointy-eared brethren.

-1562: The Discovery of Phileas and Nuevea
=

-1837: The first non-magical heavier-than air flight
=This event marked the beginning of aircraft in the form of planes, which didn't utilize Gravitarium as the medium of lift. However, airships would still use either hydrogen, helium or Gravitarium to support themselves in the air.
I need your help here too. I'm split between using historical figures such as Napoleon and Magellan of Earth in Mundus against using completely fictional characters. What should I do?

And please, leave constructive comments! Your replies will contribute to my worldbuilding!

Mundus? Like TES material plain of existence that is also called Mundus?

Seriously?

Also, can a Synthesian change their body? Once a frame has been built, are they stuck with it, so the early War Synthesians have to continue using their frames that lack many modern features? How much of a frame can you replace before the Synthesian is no longer themselves?

Actually, do Synthesians have genders? Especially the early ones, before people started introducing humanlike body features?

Who pays for a Synthesian to be produced? Do Synthesians start their lives owing a debt to their manufacturer which they are expected to pay off over time? Like do I order a Synthesian built and then tell 'em "Okay, your body cost me $80,000 so now you have to perform $80,000 worth of labor for me to pay me off before you're a free person"?

Was there a particularly brutal and meatgrindy war in 1985 that made people look for alternatives to throwing more lives away that led to the development of Synthesians?

Synthesians have their souls locked onto the frame permanently. Once their souls possess the frame, it cannot be replaced.

Synthesian genders are determined by the soul of the human. If the dead Human/Thaumian was a female, her soul would be transferred to a female frame. The earliest Synthesians, like the fifth prototype made in 1986, had no form of diversity. They resembled the androids from Stellaris, and their gender could only be identified by the voice of their former human self, which was processed before their deaths.

The current idea of Synthesians I have as of now is that Synthesian creation is similar to that of postmortem organ donations. If one decides to yearn a second chance of life in case he or she dies, one signs a contract with the government of their nationality. Each nation may have deviations of the Synthesian Soul Contract, taking Ironche (Analogy of USA) as an example where the Contract costs 50,000 Liberions and all Synthesians are required to serve at least 1 year of social service before living their former lives as usual. I found your idea of the manufacturer's debt of Synthesians. I'll add that to the list!

I'm not sure about brutal wars in the 20th Mundusian century. That's where I need your ideas.

Although, I did recently make some lore where a bunch of necromancers from Vasco (Analogy of Spain and Portugal) considered the Synthesians as the way of achieving immortality though magic and technology. However, that was ultimately debunked as the first Synthesian prototype's soul returned to death after 30 years of her second life.
(The owner of the soul was a 43-year old Erin Garcia, a special forces operative deceased via bolts of magical lightning from OPFOR on a mission.)

One thing I wanna ask about Synthesians before I move on to another subject of this world, do you think Synthesians with Thaumian souls should be able to cast magic just like they could before they died?

Magic? What kind of magic? How hard and how soft? Does it include concepts, or is it all numbers?
