Come one, come all, and have a gander at the lad with voices in his head, and an origin yet unread.
In the Beginning
Before there was life, light, emotions, before there was anything...there was darkness. And before there was darkness there were monsters. Thousands, millions decorated and pranced along the Earth's surface. Until they were wiped out, hunted, cannibalizing each other, their flesh became the Earth and their blood flooded the corpses, seeping into what would become the ocean and rivers of the world. And when the age of beasts was turned inside out, then came the world manned by the gods. Superiors, all powerful, dominant and prideful beings. In some ways they were worst then the monsters before them. Selfish prideful arrogant and boastful they defied the change of the world, reveling in the corruption that they had been birthed from. And when at last came the Age of Man like it had in the previous cycle and the cycle before it. When at last the time had come for them to fade and let their next predecessors take the stage...they rebelled. They pushed, mounted an offense and attempted to toss the cosmic axis of its handle.

With their power, and strength, magic and intelligence, and limitless ability they warred with fate and the humans, to rule with supremacy above all else. And they failed. They struck out at fate, and Fate took offense, and with her limitless power struck back even harder, scattering the many gods to ash, to the point even their dust was reduced to dust. Gods of fire reduced to soot, and their spark snuffed out, water gods drowned in their own hubris, limp bodies tossed by the riptide, gods of wisdom turned insane, archers blinded, of love found their hearts splintered, fighters withered. Man won, and rallied ending the reign of the gods. Few remain, a relic of times past, with many believing the war was nothing more then an odd story, a detailed fairytale. Not even their elder's elders could recall the event. But there end was messy, and irrational. Not properly done in a way that could sever them from the root. And as a result many escaped persecution, and would rise once more in the form of cults, religions, and simply as beings of immense power who could stand under their own feet. And beyond the ways of their religious rise, and their powerful walls built from devout followers, beyond the villages of moderate wealth and even those of poverty stricken greed, and beyond in a cave where odd things dwelt and cold things lied. In this cave stirred one so great, one of much potential. They stirred slightly an odd look in such a dreary place. Rustled they did, their human form rising and falling.

Rest undone, and Dreams fled, the human chased away Sleep with utmost haste. A man in a cave was not unheard of, but you were no ordinary man, and your cave of residence no ordinary cave. In the cave lied darkness, emptiness and that which shouldn't be disturbed. You did not venture far into your cave. Nor did the insects that crawled, or the rain and water that puddled, or even your own eyes, adverting starring into the abyss whenever possible. He was Hue, a mortal who's lived in the cave since he were a lad. Never met his father nor seen any hide of a mother, he's learned to appreciate the good things in his life. That is until the voices started. They were lost, fractured shells. Of what Hue knows not, only that as they spoke their voices were hollow, their words made little sense and yet they cried out in pain. He did not find sleep easy the first night the voices started, nor the next few nights after. Hue had matured though and had made a decision that leads him to this specific day. Never before has Hue dared to try and brave the regions beyond his cave, but with the start of the voices, he began to feel the instincts that kept him rooted in his cavern lessen. He was of grown age, a young man stubble decorating his chin and loose cloth hanging from his body. Hue lacked access to a usable mirror but if the reflective surface of the ponds have told him anything it'd be that he was one possessing lightly tanned skin and brown hair of pigment that was not dissimilar to that of chestnuts. Despite Hue's erratic life-style he was not a sickly thin thing, and despite lacking muscle mass of those who handled heavy labor daily would wield. Hue rose, raising a hand to protect against the bright light that had shone from the entrance.

There were many options now before you. But as you stepped out the entrance you had grown accustomed to, you felt something echo out. A resoluteness in the simple action, one that would have painters weeping in tears at the sight, and scribes in a frenzy to preserve the moment. And yet you were preoccupied, for you were dragged from consciousness, and before you lied a being of power. You suspect it to be the origin of the voices, or at least one of them. The being faces you, catatonic in its state, and you find yourself met with...

Introducing......
Hue pulls himself in somehow. Not physically curling up, but your mind seems to sink inward in a fashion Hue would have trouble describing to others, but as he does he gets the sight of the ground rushing towards him and a rush of nausea. As Hue falls deeper into himself, his mind forms an image of him falling in a literal sense, falling far into a deep dark pit, no walls or anything to cling to nor any showing of a way to slow said descent, likely formed by Hue's sadistic imagination. Fearing that his mental self will meet a quick and untimely end Hue closed his eyes prepared for the inevitable. Any second now he'd meet some level of ground and be flattened like a pancake though he's not quite sure what that is. Any second now......

Okay perhaps its okay and he should take a peek? Opening his eyes Hue finds that no he is still falling but the pit has been replaced by a....bunch of corn? Hue slams face first into the very metallic, shiny and not-corn like material. "Ugh." Hue lets out, a small moan of pain echoing out in the mind crevice. He wonders what sick part of him would ever allow such a function to exist, before rising. It takes a moment for the pain to clear a way and a bit rubbing of his eyes to confirm what he sees. Hue was a poor lad, not well versed in the ways of the world or how it functioned. But he was still a man, filled with wants and needs. And a deep need filled him at this sight, glorious round and glittering. The way his eyes tracked it would have him later blushing and refuting such inane stories of how he found his hands grabbing and squeezing the orbs of delight. Of course we are talking about the craving all men of flesh lust for. Money.

Golden coins of different sizes and shapes and with different writings then eh had ever seen, jewels of splendor, jewelry that could cost a fortune of fortune, and weapons of noble weight and value. Hue's hands hurried, shoving them into pockets that did not exist till then and there, suddenly awash with a new feeling that made him feel that all of this, all of the shinies before him should be his and his alone. Only by possessing it all could he find true happiness. Only if he owned it, and used it to own the wealth of others could h-

No. No this wasn't Hue. This was greed, something Hue had yet to experience. He had not understood *why* this greed took him as it did, but it was not his want nor need to own gold, as he never had before. The sound of a coin being flipped though the air up and down made it's way to Hue's ears, something that intrigued him almost as much as why he was acutely aware how that sounded, and why the first question to pop up in his head was, 'How much value could that coin possess.'

Before Hue lies someone that shines brighter then the actual pile of riches at his feet. The definition of wealth stands tall, slicked back golden blonde hair, bronze skin, a pair of golden lenses lie like glasses, though covered themselves in a golden tone. He wears an opulent golden suit, that clashes surprisingly well with the silver undershirt beneath. His teeth are sparkly gold, and on each hand he possesses rings for every finger, each with a gem be it ruby, sapphire, emeralds and even diamonds. He lets out a radiant smile, and clasps his hands over his golden cane Hue watches him swing about sparkling diamond obscured by his equally as shiny hands. Just the sight of his money maker makes Hue feel insecurity as his rags cling to his form. The air itself seems to enrichen around him shimmering and sparkling.

He observes Hue behind the toned glasses, and Hue could feel his eyes piercing him and more specifically the weight inside his pockets. Admittedly he had forgotten about the clothes while staring at the object of wealth but now Hue finds it in his best interest to empty the contents of his pockets.
Giving Hue a moment to make scarce his misbegotten goods the rich, gold man proceeds to clear his throat, a baritone that in itself sounds rich and filling.

"Greetings, you horrendously poor excuse of a living being! I go by many names, though most call me Avaritia. Due to actions beyond my control, I have lost my fortune! Now I am more than willing to cut you a deal, you filthy currency deprived beast! Invest in my business and I guess I'll give you some help or at least direct you to a bath."

Invest? Business? Bath? These words aren't quite foreign to Hue, but its strange that a part of him would be so...fabulously dressed. And for it to pick out a name for itself... suppose it is not impossible for Hue to possess a form of multiple personality disorder. Maybe it was a side effect of cave life? Nevertheless the greed that had momentarily fueled his blood had eased now at the sight of the being and his thoughts began to clear. Though the avatar of money finished his introduction in an amused manner, eyes most likely twinkling as the rest of his form does, it remains impossible to tell truthfully what his intent really is behind those golden sunglasses and Hue believes it'd be best that he thought out his next response. And quickly as he has been standing mouth agape for awhile now the mental fabrication's grand smile seems to be deteriorating fast.

How do you greet the deity?

Making the World go Round
Hue sizes up the golden man before him, and for a second he gets the incredulous idea to strip his clothes and display dominance. The moment passes soon as it came, and it may have just been coincidence, but did the money Adonis just quirk his eyebrow in time with the thought. "Focus Hue, don't be ridiculous", he tells himself. Right all he had to due was rationally address the figment of imagination within his mindscape. Perhaps if he tried to communicate in a placid manner he would manage to garner more information about himself. On the other hand the way those gems glistened and the way those coins shined were in a way, hypnotizing.

The greed he had managed to pull himself out of returned with a vengeance and clouded his mind with thoughts of monetary gain! Straightening his back, and tilting his head due to the uneven elevation, Hue stared this Avaritia in the eye and declared his intentions, his claim and demand. "I do not know who you are or where I am, all I know is I like the way this stuff shines and it is now mine. Give me more of it and I may help you."

Hue would not make deals with himself, no, the mental instability would need to convince him he was worth Hue's time. A momentary pause was had as Hue intently focused on the sunglassed fortune promiser. A moment, then two, then three before Avaritia broke out into a laugh. First small, the laugh grew boisterous as he responded to your declaration. "Hahaha, your lust for gold is great, it reminds me of me! No relenting on your greed, taking it from wherever you can! But sadly, I am not in a generous mood. I can certainly give you the tricks of the trade to make money, but I expect a cut of the profit." Hue would've responded, but he felt a pull on his being, and a glance down showed his mental persona dissolving suddenly. The money they had stood on was vanished, nothing but a black and empty floor in which they stood on remained. His hands and legs were already being converted into a smoky vaper, as the pull grew stronger. Avaritia watched amused at his panicked struggles, smile still full on his face.

As Hue was reduced to nothing more but a neck and head, and even that was beginning to disappear Avaritia gave a passing remark, something that you doubt you'd forget from this eventful self discovery. "In gold we trust. Live by those words, and fortune will be yours, lad!" And with that, Hue's head was reduced to mist and he was in that realm no more. A feeling one could only associate with vertigo overtook Hue as he was launched back from whence he came at a rapid pace. At a certain velocity and height he just awoke back where he was. Well, on the floor at least, with a throbbing pain in his forehead. Hue took the moment to shake off any stray insect stragglers who'd hopped on from his momentary lapse of consciousness before determining his next course of action. It was obvious that the first thing he needed to do on his...journey? Pilgrimage? Eviction? He suppose he'd name it later, but for now he needed a plan for what he'd do when he reached the village through travelling south.

Maybe try and get a job of some kind? Or eavesdrop and try and learn more of the history of the world as he went? Or even just stop for a moment before continuing his travels? He'd have to decide after getting a move on. He may not have been the most knowledgeable about this world but even he knew that the woods were no place to be after dark.

What would Hue do when he reached the southern village?

[] Try and get a job to get some cash and build relations with a village person
-[] A fisherman

The More You Know
Hue managed to amass quite the amount of information. Despite being an outsider, he found little scrutiny against him, most people simply seeing him as another face in a crowd. For some this would be a bothersome identity, a rude way to view another living being, and some may even lash out to dramatic effect. For Hue, this was the best thing that could happen to him. Perhaps he had never noticed his own skill, or perhaps he had built it up in time from avoiding interactions with others, be they people or animal, but Hue found himself gifted at tuning in to conversations he had no business in.

From what he could grasp, which was quite a lot considering most of it came from tipsy drunkards or casual gossip groups, was that the current village in which Hue resided wasn't of any major note, a non name village that happened to be pretty far up North. That said the village was plagued with the odd bandit or monster problems. Speaking of, monsters were no mere folk tale to scare kids into obedience. Monsters were real, vicious, and enemies. Some acted like savage animals, others belayed a human level mind. Of the monsters, there were two well known differences. Those who were named, and those who went with no name. No name monsters were your stand beast, perhaps the odd scroungy werewolf, usually servants of named ones, or pack units. The Named monsters, were the scary ones. They held names due to their power, their uniqueness, and or their intelligence. These are the king of the crop, and to put in example of their level, it is said every dragon is a named creature. Multiple rumors may exit for where they came from, but one thing is agreed upon and known. Monsters had existed since the beginning of mankind, and perhaps pre-dated the very first of man.

Then there were the gods. Or what was left of them. Far as Hue could tell, no gods really existed. In fact nothing but stories of these divine beings existed, with the odd bit of worship here or there. Yes no gods existed, none were proven to exist though worship continued, whether out of respect, tradition, hope or habit, it varies depending on one's own misgivings and beliefs. Few of the supposed thousands of gods still existed in name, only a handful being remembered. For the most part anything detailing theology and religion were thought to be nothing more than fairy tales.

Then there was magic. That, similar to monsters and not so much with the deities, was real. Not all men had the ability to use magic, though some theories claim all possessed a sample of magic inside themselves. Magic was still a versatile and foreign concept for many, possessing seemingly no limits. The rules involving magic were unknown to the general public, but it's speculated that it acts on a different ruling then the laws of physics and current understanding of science. Magic was not a racial trait either, for certain monsters could utilize the mystic arts, and even a few of the rumored races were said to possess it to an extent. Going further, not much was known of the other races, not even if they existed. You doubt much could be gleamed about them in any capacity and it would be rare and unlikely for you meet with one of the so called, Fae folk. Magic items also existed, in the forms of tools for channeling, or artifacts that utilize magic. Unfortunately much of how these artifacts were made is lost to history, alongside the locations of several of them and their creators.

From the scraps of conversations he managed to amass from the passing traveler or two, the village resided conveniently above the closest kingdom's capital. Three kingdoms resided on this continent, surrounded by a wide body of water that no boat had managed to handle traversing entirely. They were currently in an era of peace, though war was had previously, and a slight tension would rise every now and then during events concerning territory and border crimes. The current closest kingdom was kingdom Dradel. Compared to have the greatest military strength of all the kingdoms, with a focus on steel and strength rather then commerce or magic. The King had not been willing to let the kingdom grow lax in peace times, so their existed both a local militia and a powerful armada.

In more local news, their had been reports of a creature among the woods recently, a superstition perhaps, but one that caused fear as it made an obstacle from what would normally be the safest path to, and what would normally be the safest path towards Dradel. It was tough to pin down the exact description, but the general consensus was fast and scary. The other path while lacking any rumored monstrosity was infamous for the minor bandit problem picking up there. The local militia had not yet taken action to searching for a bandit problem but it was presumably only a matter of time. Hue had the inclination to go to Dradel, for reasons not yet known, though likely due to wanting to see the world properly. Which left the matter of which path he'd trudge along in order to reach the capital city. Perhaps he could try and get a hunting group to aid him in dealing with the monster? Or he could try and speed up rallying the militia.

Onto more light hearted news, Hue managed to scrape enough coin to get a proper stay at the inn, and get a soothing bath and pocket knife to shave his facial hair. It felt good to get off the old cave grime, and he felt like a new man. Even had that fresh new cave smell.

[]Travel down the monster pathway. Try and brave the dangers.
-[] Form a hunting party though it may backfire if the search ends empty and you'll have to rely on words with your near empty funds.
[]Travel down the Bandit pathway, hope you don't get caught
-[] Try to rally the militia early(same problems as hunting party, risks lowered reputation as well.)
[] Stay behind, you're not ready to leave yet!

Before that is there anything you'd like to do?(Pick two actions from below)
[] Try and get a job to get some cash and build relations with a village person(Can only be chosen if choosing to stay)
-[] A fisherman
-[] A farmhand
-[] Helping shady people do shady things!
-[] A cleaner and helper at the local church
-[] Help on a few Hunting expeditions
-[] Some caravan guarding. Offer your help while moving with them. Safety in numbers and all that
-[] Write In(Try and stay within reason)
[] Continue speaking with the voices in his head, maybe try and meet with Avaritia again or talk to a new one
[] Rather then go South, try and go North and see if any mysterious lied up ahead
[] Pick up a weapon to become proficient in
-[] Sword
-[]Bow
-[]Axe
-[]Mace

Be a Deer would you?
Hue had decided to stay a bit longer, to prepare himself for the outer world. The first of which involved getting a weapon he could use for himself. He had decided he'd aim for a ranged approach, choosing the bow, a weapon that would let him deal with enemies from afar and observe the field of battle. It turned out that... Hue was unsuited for the long ranged weapon. He found it quite unwieldy to put it simply. Or maybe he was just crossed eyed. In the end he was begged to return it to the store and pick out something simpler after his testing it out in the back of the weapon store's practice grounds. Turns out a store owner prefers to not have arrows sticking from their skill while running a weapon's shop, and if not for a close by shield... to put it simply Hue is now forbidden from archery in proximity of that store. Perhaps he could figure out bow usage later down the road but for now it was seemingly impossible.

Without the bow Hue wasn't quite sure what he would be able to hunt with during the expeditions he had joined, but luckily one of his fellow hunters were gracious enough to lend him a short sword and dagger. Though this was a setback it proved not too difficult to manage and upon their first hunt in which they encountered a stray pair of wolves he proved exceptionally efficient in dealing with a wolf on his own, allowing the other pair which he had been working with to deal with it on their own. His sword and dagger swung through the air, and slicing into the wolf like a hot knife through butter. It amazed even him, as he swiftly disabled the wolf, cutting its throat in seconds upon engaging with a minimal amount of blood decorating himself. A flick of the blade to toss the blood, and he sat upon his defeated foe, a sign to impress his associate's as he sat a playful smirk decorating his face. The one who had lent him the weapons claimed later when he tried to return it that he could keep it, having proven himself more capable with it then himself.

The second hunting expedition made Hue's first hunt seem like a fluke however. Okay Perhaps he had came in a bit too confident and anticipated the ending of an elf to be far easier than the death of a wolf. Hue would not be the first to underestimate the power of an elk, and he would not be the last, but the dent in his chest from it's charge and then stomping him into the ground would be a painful reminder and serve to generate a fear of the powerful horns and deadly hooves. He was lucky his allies for this hunting expedition, a couple this time, had proven more suited for ranged combat then he had, and ended the beast's reign of terror before it could continue to curb stomp Hue.

The third expedition and near last proved far simpler, if not disappointing from how little occurred. Not much was found beyond the odd rabbit, and it seemed the coming winter had caused most of the major targets to enter hibernation early. Ah well.

The fourth and final expedition was the greatest challenge. It had been normal at the beginning, he was partnered with three others, one a bow user, and two swordsmen, who would act as the Vanguard in case they encountered a serious fight. That was when the dull sound of rumbling and heavy movement met their ears. A sound, harsh and grating, somewhere between a fierce roar and an enraged squeal had filled their ears, before a large shape burst forth, knocking over the first swordsman, pushing him aside with seemingly no effort. The figure, no doubt a boar and a large one at that, turned its charge heavily slowing enough to turn back toward Hue and his companions. A snort left it's snout, powerful and hearty as it stared the group down, sizing up each. In a moment the beast would be ready to charge again, and already it was planting its feet a bit more firmly, digging into the ground and tensing. This had all occurred in the process of a few minutes, and Hue was just now processing what had occurred. The boar, and it's overly large tusk and the horns is possessed on top of that. Despite its rotund shape Hue had no doubt its bulks was made up more of muscle than fat.

This was a dominant predator, which made it all the more confusing why it would go as far as to battle them. Most beasts like this were uncommon to spot, and even less likely to begin any engagement with men, not seeking interaction with hunters and humans as they ruled supreme in their territory and were content. For this beast to go into a frenzy was unheard of. Unless... there's a high likelihood this beast that they faced was due to the rumored monster having forced it out of its area of ruling. It made more sense than anything he could think of at the moment. That moment would also be coming to and end soon, as Hue was forced to dash to the side roll, narrowly avoiding the Boar's second charge. The downed swordsmen had finally regained his footing and stood side by side with his fellow warrior. It was clear nerves were at an all time high, and the fight or flee instincts that were pounding in Hue's head, no doubt did the same in the others. He had better make a move, and quick, or they may not make it out alive.

Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-That's All Folks
Hue digs deeply, diving into himself in a effort to reach Avaritia, or any of the other voices who filled his head. Perhaps they could provide guidance for his obstacle. Once again he felt the pull, willingly letting it take him away. His psyche self began it's rapid descent to darkness as his physical form had a quick meeting with the ground. Briefly a "Oh great, he fa-" met his ears as you fell into yourself. Where before he had fallen far away until he'd had hit a pile gold with Avaritia, this time was vastly different, his mental form falling past the top of bookcases. Books of varying states of decay, big and small, moldy and dust filled, with the shelves stretching infinitely in all directions. Hue's descent slowed as he reached the center of the library, landing before a Celtic tree. The tree swayed sagely, a rune Hue didn't recognize scribed upon its bark dead center.
(Symbol: Adinkra Symbols of West Africa: Nea Onnim)

Where fruit would lie were books, in significantly better shape then the ones on the shelf. Hue eyed the symbol closer, hand reaching out to brush against it. His fingers nearly touch the Celtic wood, before a voice behind him took his attention.

"Behold"

Hue spun swiftly, a defensive posture haphazardly formed as he faced the speaker. Or tried to at least, before being blinded by the light before him. Taking a moment to blink away the spots in his vision Hue attempted to peer at the figure through his hands, the shade making it easier. Before Hue was a tall man of ebony skin, light outlining his figure. His air was an afro, that turned into locs that hung loosely at his back. The figure bore two symbols, not unlike the tree, upon his arm and chest.
(Arm: Adinkra Symbols of West Africa: Mate Masie)
(Chest: Adinkra Symbols of West Africa)
The only cloth decorating him was a loin cloth, abut more attention grabbing was the third eye upon his face, the only one of which was open. He continued to speak after giving Hue a moment to finish observing his features.

"The Ancient One, being of Old. I am Power, I am King, I reign supreme over nearly everything. Know the Ledge, Wise the Dome, he who worships me is beyond any throne. I would question your presence, but I already Know." He paused briefly, his ramblings of little sense and yet his eye and symbols eerily glowed, and Hue felt a shift. For a moment Hue had grasped a glimpse, the tiniest glance at perspective through the eyes of another. Time became a different concept, knowledge became endless, all was known and what was most known was that not all had been known. It was too much, all of it rushing at him, and leaving him just as quickly, except for a tiny speck that stayed behind. Then the man spoke once more.
"One says: Know thy self and thy shall know, the universe and God." As he finished Hue noticed, in a much faster manner than previously, he was disappearing. His smoky form was almost being pushed away this time , as if he was being evicted, before it was sent spiraling back upwards and towards the concious world.

He awoke quickly, still in his state of falling and sending his arms out to catch himself before his face and the dirt became one once more.

"-ainted. Oh, uh... never mind?"

Hue would turn to berate his companion for thinking his will so weak if not for the need welling up inside him. He looked back up, and saw the Boar in all its glory and yet he saw more. He could see how the Boar would breath, time exactly when it would stamp its feet, even anticipate the twitch of its ears. Hue rose, clarity filling his mind. Sword and dagger drawn, he wielded both as he stepped forth to do battle with the behemoth. As Hue regarded the Boar, circling it in order to get it's attention away from his allies, it did gave him the same courtesy, a sort of intelligence in its eyes as it sized Hue up. For a moment, nothing more, the two were still, and the wind caught its breath. Then both parties struck at once, spectators gathered and watching awe-struck as Hue began to move swiftly dancing around the Boar's first charge. His dagger swung true, aiming to strike crippling blows against the Boar's knees, unfortunately failing to penetrate even the thinnest of the beast's skin. He clicked his tongue in irritation, but nothing more, for no move could be wasted. He danced backwards avoiding the retaliation in the form of the Boar's donkey kick, it's muscles bulging as it performed aimed to cave his chest. Once more he moved forward, sword and dagger lancing out, strike after strike slashing at the beast. And yet still he found no weak point, the Boar too durable for his weapons to cut, his strength lacking.

He was tiring now, the needed steps to avoid being gored, bludgeoned or crushed taking up most of his focus, and the crisp clarity in which he once saw each move the Boar made was fleeting. Sweat drenched him, alongside soot as his movements began to slow, and the Boar's strength proved to great to over come. For a minute he was blinded by his own sweat, eyes stinging too badly to keep focus, and that was all it took for the boar to swing its head wildly, catching him with the side of its tusks and launching him against a tree. He hit it with a powerful thud, forced to use his sword to even get back to standing. He could see once more, but he already knew his fate. He would be pinned against the tree by the Boar. He watched it unfold before his very eyes, a premonition of which he had no hope of dodging. Soon he would meet Death's sweet embrace.

Unexpected but not unwelcome aid came his way however. Not in form of man, or beast, not monster or divine figure, but a in the shape of his own companions, who quickly rose to his aid. A swing of his sword, the heave mighty enough that is moved the Boar, no longer able to commit to the charge that would have left you pinned to the tree. He was joined by the other swordsman, both shouting heavily and synchronizing as they used raw power and teamwork to do what you could not. Blow after shuddering blow was rained against the creature, out matched by the two opponents. The sounds of bow firing registered in his ears but now arrow stuck out from the boar, instead bouncing of its thick hide. Smiling Hue looked dazedly at the superb duo, allowing himself to fall to his shaking knees as the blow he had endured earlier took its toll. Dream took him as Hue met unconsciousness, his body reading fading away.

Hue awoke, body twitching upwards in rapid movement, before he hissed in pain from the aches and protest in his abdominal region. He was in a bed, familiar one at that as it looked as if he was in his room at the Inn he stayed. A glance under his sheets showed what he expected, bandages. Likely from his allies during the hunting expedition. He wasn't quite sure what had occurred, but he was grateful to be alive. Rising slowly and putting on a pair of clothes he strode out, aiming too....

Home Run
Hue makes a decision to go to the Hunter's Guild, aiming to meet with the other hunters that had aided him in his time of need. Hue was not sure who he should talk to when he got there so he decided to meet with them all. Arriving at the bustling area, he scanned the many faces, growing to recognize the tall two handed sword user first, mostly because he stood out as a cut above the rest. A smile spread across his features as he gave the absolute unit of a man a wave as he approached. A deep breath first and Hue went on to run the man through his gauntlet of questions that had been bugging him since he woke up.

"Ah good to see you're back on your feet lad. That was a either a stupidly brave, or bravely stupid thing you did charging at that massive boar, and I should know," the swordsmen chuckles at this before continuing his greeting, "I can see it looks like you've got some questions for me?" Hue nods, glad the man seemed so amiable. "What occurred after I was knocked out? Is the Boar dead or did it escape?"

The blade wielder was quick to respond still cherry, "Not quite sure when you lost conscious, but after the Boar had knocked you down, me and my pal Mercin over there had managed to push back the damn Boar and fight it in your stead. 'Fraid it got away not long after, and we weren't quite in the mood for more hunting." After nodding towards the dual sword user, the man ended in a more subdued tone.

Well that filled in quite a bit. Thanking the warrior, he asked for his savior's name, also giving his own of course. "My name? Why it's Gilbert, pleasure meeting you Hue. If you fight like that often I can't say I'd mind hunting with you again err, but not this season and hopefully nothing that eventful again for awhile."

Nodding along, Hue went off to meet with Mercin and ask a similar set of questions. Unfortunately his talks with Mercin wasn't going as well as his talks with Gilbert."H-hello." Whew, strong start Hue. Clearing his throat to get rid of the crack he had just suffered Hue carried onward. "Do you know what occurred after I was knocked out?"

"Mhm."

Not much of a response, bit annoying truth be told. "What happened to the Boar?"

Mercin stops at this to stare at Hue for a bit, slowly raising an eyebrow. He turns to look at Gilbert, then back to Hue, then back to Gilbert, before settling on Hue. "Really?" He responds, quirked eyebrow still raised as he spoke.

Oh, yeah he had just asked and gotten the answer from Gilbert moments ago. A thank you flew out his lips that seemed to only slightly lower Mercin's eyebrow, a short nod given before turning away from Hue. Not quite finished Hue asked his final question.

"What's your name?" Mercin halted, almost painfully so, seemingly completely frozen. He turned to give him a confused look. Shaking his head Mercin stared into the mug he was holding, letting out a loud sigh before chugging it all in one.

Yeah...can't win them all Hue supposes. Still one win one loss, maybe he could get one more win in, make this a good day. Approaching the sole female member of his momentary team Hue swaggered forth, trying to put out an aura of confidence. The bow user, who was sitting alone at a table and staring at nothing looked up to meet his eyes.

"Can I help you?" For some reason Hue felt the urge to place his hand on the girl's shoulder and say hey. Instead he elected to lean on the table as a easy going grin landed on his face. The ranger had a small blush grace her features, and Hue felt a prick of pride in himself. At last he opened his mouth, and he could almost swear he felt his eyebrows wiggle as he replied. "Hey."

A bout of silence reigned between them, Hue's smirk as prevalent as the blushes on the woman's face. The silence was broken by Gilbert the drunken man stumbling, clasping Hue on the back and swaying back and forth. He looked to you and then back to the ranger who's name you had still not yet gotten. He smiled slyly as he prodded you in the ribs with his elbow.

"Ah, see you work fast then? Well no shame. Oi lass! Fetch me a couple rounds for Hue o'er here and his fancy!" His outburst caught the attention of the bar owner in the guild hall.

A thumbs up was raised before a voice carried out, "Hey hey hey, what about the rest of us?" A grumble exited Gilbert's lips, before he gave in to the heckling, "Fine then. Round of drinks for all you sorry lot! Mercin you still owe me for the time with the thing right?" Mercin face palmed, his compatriot's drunken decision clearly just one of many he had dealt with over the years.

"Right right, the time with the thing." The dual wielder confirmed.

Hue woke up the next day in a bed that was not his own, a pair of lingerie on the side that definitely weren't his own, and a splitting headache that he doubted he alone shared. A few moments passed as he tried to let the sudden migraine ease itself. One of the doors to the room then opened and Hue was greeted by a pleasant sight that cured his pounding head in an instant.

"Glad to see you're up", greeted the ranger, who's name if you recalled correctly was Alice. "Surprised to see you still here. There's some food in the living area, decided to be a generous host. Exit's on down the left hall when you're done." Ah well there goes some of his happiness.

"Unless you want to stay awhile or something." And back to attention he went! As Alice sashayed away, Hue allowed himself a moment to enjoy his blissful state. If every boar attack lead to this Hue may have to take hunting expeditions more often.
