State of the World - Turn 1 - Year 0 since the Dawn of God

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, space and time twisted into a silver portal as a being come into existence. It has form. Yet it is shapeless. It is there. Yet it is not.

"No. Too soon."

The feeling of disappointment washed over it. The wind howled and the sky broke as the Gods come into being. Whether they were born or moved here, it didn't know, it didn't care.

"This world is a canvas. You are the painters" It 'spoke'.

"Do whatever you want with it" The being then faded, it went into slumber and in time it will wake.

Galeves looked at the emptyness of creation, as the being faded away.

He knew nothing, even chaos, had meaning without relation, and so, he began by creating a massive slab of stone, earth and ice, then anchored it to the sky.

(Shape Land x2 - Create a (small?) landmass in the sky, then create a mountain range upon it, a river flowing down from it's peaks, to the base of the landmass, then down below the landmass.)
(Shape Climate x1 - Storms with rain and thunder are common on this landmass; It has a Temperate climate, in the face of all logic. It's mountain peaks have ice at their highest.)

Out of the abyss again she comes.Out of the blind Eternities where life and love is forgotten.
And she is bodiless , power unformed, but her touch will change the world.
A world unmade that cries out to be made.a creation to be formed.

Out of the Blind Eternities she comes, Eleanna Dana, the bringer of life, and the first life she makes filters into the sea as the ground starts to rise.
On giant stems lotos like big pads start growing, insects and small animals come ashore on island leaves, and the sea ground rises before her invisible feet as the lifeweb creates itself and connects to others , as plants grow on the leaves, as first trees grow in mangrove forests, then on rising land, as birds fill the air, as beasts crowd the land.

As first island chains and then her great island Tirdania rise from the sea.

Out of nothing, a being was formed: someone who loved squabbles, melodies and a good joke. A deity who would fight against sameness, apathy and anyone who needed to be taken down a peg. The Leafy One was born!

And he immediately fell into the ocean.

The Leafy One shouted, "Help! Help! I can't swim! Well, actually, I can but I don't want to!" The land beneath The Leafy One rose up to his feet and became a relatively small continent. The Leafy One shook the water off his fur and grass and trees began to sprout. He looked out to his new land and determined it was still pretty barren. The Leafy One created steep mountains and rivers to run across his land. After that hard work, he decided to treat himself and created Flavor Snow.

"Ah, a lovely world. Needs more interest."

"Let's just leave this polar continent, see what 6-month days and 6-month nights do to a society. The climate barrier should help keep them all from freezing, and this Etherial Fire should help."

Ethereal Fire- Despite creating light and heat as a normal fire, it cannot be extinguished by anything but smothering, and it does not consume what it burns on, nor does it spread without being spread by a sentient being.

Sachir was content for the time being. Yes, there were no epic fights between giant war machines, but without a world to have such fights in, those war machines would be pointless. It made sense to contribute to that world therefore, if only to ensure there was a proper arena for titans of industrial might to put their engineering and crews to the test.

"What a beautiful world..." Murmured Grada a soft, almost contented smile upon her face. "I truly can't wait to see how it shall grow and develop, how life shall fight and die for what scraps they can obtain. But first, this nigh empty world must change, grow in its own unique manner and that is something I believe I can help my fellows with. Although sealife may be fascinating, I'm sure what will come later shall observe the ever competing creatures waiting within some day in the future. Now however I must form my own cradle to one day incubate my beautifully shifting life within."

"A rainforest nestled within the empty shell of a dead volcano; I wonder what ever changing niches shall be born from such a habitat." Concluded Grada currently content with the humid, future cesspit of warring life she had formed.

The world before had broken, become stagnant and dead. No life, so paradoxically beautiful and chaotic, could grow and so, with some indignation, Peklenc moved on to the next world.
Like before, His compatriots has made their mark before Him, and like before it followed no structure. Seeing no space left conspicuously open for improvement, Peklenc pulled his own land from the sea floor. A simple continent, following a simple structure; mountains leading to peninsulas, to islands, rivers bringing life with their flow from the highest point to the lowest. It was by no means perfect, but it would make a fine home for those who would come later.

Draeslooked upon the forming world. A beautiful sight indeed, to see the others laying the foundation for such a vibrant worlds, teeming with tiny little things. Still, in a way, the world was empty; its only inhabitants being boring beasts. They lacked drives, ambitions. They lacked benevolence and malevolence. They did not have what it takes for Draes to create its next epic.

Although, the world was young. Give it time, and interesting things will soon arise. Although, that doesn't mean it cannot...push the world towards a certain direction. While Draes was not under the illusion that the world be in any way peaceful even without its meddling, it felt like a touch of its own madness was needed.

And thus, Draes reached towards all things. All that was, is , and shall be.

'Amuse me.' Draes commanded. 'Show me your will, your strength and your merit. Distinguish yourself from your peers, and receive my blessing'

A super detailed terrain appeared from nothing thanks to Aynar the diligent god , who had to think for centuries to know how it would be shaped.

"YON FOOLS!" Came a voice, booming across whatever expanse the beings occupied. "None of you truly comprehend the power that we are dealing with! Tread not lightly henceforth."

What they were doing, if he had the power to do so, he would not stand for it. And yet, it was a thing that was happening, and he was here, and there was only so much he would do. And so, if he must, he would ensure that there would be consequences for continuing thoughtlessly, for acting without regard for full comprehension of what was being undertaken.

"Let this be...a test." Said the entity known as Miet Ecaps. Turning his attention to the island that showed the greatest effort of foresight - even if, or perhaps because, it showed signs of not being nearly finished yet - he took favor upon it, and with his power, two fields of a strange gas began to burst from the ground.

"Let those who act with foresight and proceed with caution prosper from its power, and let those who act with recklessness perish by its destructive nature!"

And it was in this way that the first fields of Aytherflux Gas came into existence upon the face of the world.

2*Add Divine Resource (Aytherflux Gas Fields) [-2 Points]
[-2 Points Total, 4 Total Points Remain]

Aytherflux Gas - A semi-magical gas holding a great deal of highly reactive and potent power that flows upwards from deep within the planet. Use with Extreme Caution and Care.

When harvested and used in a careful, conservative manner that respects its unstable nature, Aytherflux Gas is a highly potent, highly valuable and efficient fuel source capable of producing immense volumes of power and energy.

However, when treated carelessly, thoughtlessly, or in an otherwise short-sighted manner that does not pay it the respect and care it requires, Aytherflux Gas is immensely dangerous, capable of unleashing great destruction, when not simply 'spoiling' and turning viciously and aggressively toxic toward those using it wrong.

Turn 2
State of the World - Turn 2 - Year 500 since the Dawn of God

500 years since the Gods first appeared on this world, Vealiv has seen drastic change from their divine intervention. Continents and islands rose from the sea creating beautiful land mass on this once empty world. Galeves, the God governs Mind, Time and Chaos, lived up to its name and created a floating island far up in the sky where no mundane being could reach.

The present of Elenna Dana and Grada make Vealiv blooming with life. One spectacular species of incest named Blade Grazer born from Grada, however, grows to a monstrous size and possesses such huge appetite that a swarm of them could devour an entire forest in one helping. Fortunately, these insects are allergic to water allowing some safe havens for others species to grow.

It is said that to create her continent Grada sought out help from Elenna Dana to keep the continent afloat while she gifted it with life and blessing. Elenna Dana still holding a grudge on Grada for releasing the Blade Grazer agreed to help. While Grada wasn't paying attention, Elenna Dana snatched a deep sea creature and put it in place hoping the weight will crush the creature's back and sink into the sea. The creature however endured keeping the continent on its back as Grada finished her artwork. To reward its achievement, the Seed Of Legend sprouted increasing the creature's size and giving its longevity. The creature however was exhausted after its feast and fell into hibernation. It is told that it will sleep for thousands of years and interupting its sleep will have dire consequences. Thus was born Ferotudo, the Endurace Turtle, Continent Carrier.

Legend: Ferotudo, Continent Carrier
-Effects: Animals, Beasts and Races born on the back of Ferotudo is given "High Endurance" trait for free. Ferotudo will awake and move 1d2 square every 3000 years in any direction, it is unwise to try awakening it early.

The Leafy One decided to take a walk. He did a lap around his continent in less than a day. He wanted to walk more. The Leafy One took one step into the sea and land began to form around him again. He wandered a bit and even around in circles. When The Leafy One was finished, his new land twisted like a twin-tailed snake. It was covered in hills and mountains and had a frozen center. The Leafy One said to himself, "This would make a great race track!"

He then fell face first, finally tired of walking.

"Yes... These truly are beautiful aids to me." Murmured Grada looking upon the elegant creatures she had formed. "They truly will aid me in this quest of mine to push life towards new boundaries with these blades of theirs; and perhaps they too shall advance further until this weakness of theirs fades away. Though that fool Elenna Dana may dislike me for these children, she may understand their purpose in time. Or maybe not; it doesn't particularly matter, to me they shall be my first and most precious of gems upon this ever shifting rock of ours and I wonder just how they will surprise me with their growth." Smiling lovingly at the voracious swarms fast at work devouring swathes of forest she had painstakingly created, all Grada could feel was hope that the new growths already developing would be even stronger than their predecessors and perhaps survive the next harvest. "After all, that is all life is about survival and the fleeting beauty that is the circle of life and death and the constant adaptations and changes life goes through in hopes of growing beyond its grasp."

Name of Race: Blade Grazers
General Description:
Living in immense communal hives, Blade Grazers travel in huge swarms up to the hundreds of thousands of individuals so as to most efficiently strip away trees and other vegetation for food and shelter to raise their young in. Each member of a Blade Grazer hive has their own purpose and communicate via sophisticated pheromonal signals their overall duties are decided by age and sex, be it the mature males to strip vegetation and life in the upper boughs of the trees covering the island they live on via their ability to fly short distances and cut through the thinner branches with their scythe like forearms and camouflaging against detection with their green chitin blending in with surrounding leaves so as to avoid possible predators. Or the land bound adult females who with their thicker forearms are better able to cut through the broader bases of nearby trees and larger eyes helping them observe the surrounding larvae to ensure their survival, their more vibrant rose hued armour helps them blend in amongst the more vibrantly coloured foliage covering the forest floor. Although primarily herbivorous, Blade Grazers are not incapable of turning their scythes to animals and other nearby possible sources of food should they enter the swarms current territory, threaten an individual of the hive or simply should vegetation be in short supply. Though small the larval stage of Blade Grazers are not defenceless the incompletely developed forearm scythes of both genders still capable of piercing flesh and armour, therefore resulting in the larvae often hunting nearby small mammals for extra food or to practice for cutting trees in adulthood. Their camouflaged forms abling them to hide from predators and release emergency pheromones until a group of adult Blade Grazers can reach them and dispose of the threat.

With their hive nature many would expect Blade Grazers to breed nigh constantly and lay clutches of thousands of eggs of which only a few would reach maturity, in fact this species is the opposite! Rather small groups of females are only fertile for a small period of time staggered between the various groups therefore enabling them to hunt year long with only relatively small groups separating from the main swarm to move to a central hive within which they each breed and carefully raise a small clutch of roughly a dozen young from eggs to large enough larvae to be capable of surviving the main swarms travel whereupon rejoining the swarm the entire group will communally raise and teach the larvae, whilst also protecting them from major dangers, until they become mature adults and separate into the various groups which form the main swarm. Despite separating off the hatchlings in a single group will often remember each other and more commonly choose to breed with a non related member of the same community, thereby resulting in pseudo family trees forming in which it is possible to trace the ancestry of individual larvae just by observing the parents and who they brees with.

Although they travel in immense swarms and strip the surrounding environ of all mature plant life, BLade Grazers don't truly kill the area they travel through. Rather like a forest fire by stripping away all grown trees they provide space for the smaller saplings to develop and by the time they return to the same area mature into new large trees and effectively maintain the biodiversity of the ecosystem that thrives upon Ferotudo's shell and keeping any single species or generation of tree from dominating the sprawling rainforests and mangroves that cover the continent carriers back and thereby ensuring that change and evolution remain constantly occurring.

With such impressive capabilities and the size of the swarms they travel in, one would expect them to have dominated the entire world in short order. However, the highly adapted spiracles and chitinous plating covering their body is their greatest limitation, due to their inability to force the larger salt molecules out of the smaller gaps in their shell, the compounds build up in thick layers over their spiracles in short order should they attempt to fly over or swim through salt water resulting in them suffocating in short order as crusts of salt block off the pores they breathe through and resulting in their slow, agonising death.

Overall, the Blade Grazers are a highly adapted and deadly insectoid breed that although well suiting their native environment, we are fortunate they are incapable of leaving the island they live on to rapidly devour all vegetation and cause food shortages and starvation, I hope that none may rouse Ferotudo and enable his lethal inhabitants the closeness to an inhabited nation they need to spread freely and blanket out the sky with their ravenous hordes.

Smiling down at her children that even now were proceeding to ensure her domains where retained, albeit unknowingly Grana decided. "Yes, these truly are my most precious of creations, even the island beloved Ferotudo carries is insignificant compared to these beautiful creatures. One day, one day perhaps they shall become my worshipers or maybe they shall become something completely different. Who knows, truly the beauty of change is this, never knowing what wonders await beyond the horizon. And how these minor lives may yet become great, in the future my children I promise. This weakness that binds you shall be undone and you shall show this sparkling gem the true power of evolution. Adapt, grow, but never forget your roots my creations and perhaps one day you shall surpass even me. Go beyond the impossible, kick reason to the curb and evolve, change and become greater than all who shall come along after you..." Her ruminations complete Grada fell into a peaceful slumber awaiting to see how the world would change and what new wonders would await her in the future with a joyful smile on her face.

Nemesis was bored.

This world was boring, and it was time for some kind of devilishy handsome and equally modest God of yet to determined shape to fix that up. So he shaped himself a nice little island in a remote corner, so that few others would interfere with it. Then he populated it with massive amounts of sheep, cows and other such boring things as well as enough grass and resources to keep them fed and watered. Then purely to placate his own amusement, he stuck a bunch of meat eating predators in the mountains, just so he'd always have something to watch rip something into shreds. It wasn't a big bit of destruction, but from little explosions massive carnage grew.

To ensure he would eventually have something to watch, he seeded the area underneath with all the lovely things that beings would require to grow up big, strong and blood thirsty. They could be kin to those he put in the mountains!

Peklenc let some of His power flow to Elenna Dana as thanks for letting His continent grow into the great mass of land it became, then paused for a year to think.
There should be a sanctuary, He decided, and island separate enough from the mainland to be its own entity, but close enough to welcome all those who would need it. An island that would hold His palace, and His custodians, and be a green and verdant land welcoming for all travelers who needed respite from this strange, chaotic world. On that island, He placed a mountain from which shining black scales grew. These would clothe His charges, and protect them from harm while they roamed His shores.

The Black Scales are a curious surface mineral thus far only discovered on the island of Sanctuary, easily mind to the point where they can be practically peeled out of the ground. When worn by a living creature, the Black Scales develop minor curative properties - accelerating the body's natural healing and strengthening the immune system, while also providing an insulator and a sturdy armour.
The downside to this is that each of these properties only work in proportion to how strongly the wearer adheres to the Law. Specifically, the law of wherever the wearer would call their "home." Those who would forsake the protection of Law also forsake the protection of Peklenc

"If I truly wish to guide this world as it ought," Miet Ecaps thought, "I must ensure that an embodiment of my will exists up it. Come forth...Sheol of the Void!"

In a flash of nothingness, a being like no other emerged from non-existance. They were a living nexus of nothingness, given lift by three pairs of angelic wings. And through this newly forged Avatar, Miet Ecaps would see to it that he would be better suited to influence the direction of the future to come.

An Avatar created by Miet Ecaps. The center his bodies mass has the appearance of a void of nothingness, as if looking upon the antithesis of existence itself. This nexus can take on various vague shapes, including a basic swirling mass, various humanoid shapes, and more. On his back are three pairs of angelic wings, one angled upwards, one angled downwards, and the third placed between them. At all times, Sheol of the Void has the appearance of looking directly back at whoever is looking upon him, in effect looking in all directions at once and having no side other than 'directly forwards'.

"And now...a place for my Avatar to call home."

Building off of Aynar's continent, a gigantic mountain spiral emerged from the ocean, the land flowing from it as it raise up to incredible heights. As the large mountain range got closer to the spiral, the peak grew exponentially higher, until at last it came to a halt so high up that it nearly pierced through the very atmosphere of the world itself, a peak so high and so steep that to climb it was unthinkable, that to fly over it would require leaving the very planet itself.

"Let this mountain be known as the Mount of Humility, that all who look upon it be humbled by its presence, and be reminded of and recognize the reality of their existence!"

And then, to complete his work, Miet Ecaps created a small floating island that balanced directly above the very top of the Mount of Humility, an island that few would ever see, let alone set foot on. The surface of the island was relatively simple in comparison, with a small forest circling a tranquil lake that flowed a short distance before dropping off into a waterfall that seemed to fall forever before landing in the ocean at the very base of the Mount of Humility.

"Behold, The Infinite Island!"

Turn 3
State of the World - Turn 3 - Year 1000 since the Dawn of God

This is the period of changes and growths. Vealiv becomed less and less empty every passing year as various Gods raised land after land out of the sea. Some chose to create an isolated island to shape it into their own perfected garden. Some cooperated with others joining the land into massive continent while some just do it on the whims.

On the back of Ferotudo's shell, Grada called for the Blade Grazers. Millions, no billions of giant insects answered her call. Their wings beating drowned the clap of thunder and their shadows darkened the world. Most of them perished during the blind pilgrimage whether due to rain, exhaustion or opportunistic predators. Only more than a thousand specimen made it to the forest rested on Ferotudo making the once dominant species' population dropped down to almost extinction. It may seem cruel but it was just a test from Grada, weeding out the weak and picking only the strongest to bestow her gift. The Blade Grazers morphed and transformed under Grada's hands gaining supperior advantages to their animalistic form. Stronger, tougher but most of all wiser. Their weakness to water was mostly removed leaving them only vulnerable to salt water. This final chains is perhap another test of Grada, the God of Change and Modification, for perfection only led to stagnation. With their newly found wisdom, Blade Grazers learned well and quickly adapted to their new environment. Their number soon jumped to the millions and they had successfully created a schedule and maped out territory allowing them to satisfy their hunger while still leaving behind enough vegetation for life to progress. Truly they have grown and distanced themselves from their ancestors.

With the absence of Blade Grazers, many oppressed species soon took their place in the food chains. Life now can be found in grassland, forest, jungle, desert, sea and the sky.

At the northern corner of the world where only the occasional grass bush and small insect could be found existed an unsual land mass. Havulmion had created this land 1000 years ago. At the centre of the land is the Ethereal Fire, fire that could never be drowned by natural force. It was said that fire destroyed and created. In this land fire only created. Ice thawed and cold retreated in this region creating a small eden between the lifeless land. Havulmion plucked a piece of cloud from the sky and grabbed a handful of snow from the earth. The two elements were mixed together and shaped into a winged reptile sculpture. Havulmion then breathed into the sculpture's noses and it came to life, a proud and loyal creature, aptly named Blue Dragon. Born from the power of the God of Magic and Knowledge, these creatures could grow up to 5 metres in height and triple that in length with a small amount of food comparing to their size. Blue Dragon can't fly despite having wings. Instead these wings played a role in attracting mates and hibernation. When the cold become too much for these creatures to handle, they curled up and spread their wings to cover their entire body sealing themselves shut from the world and enter hibernation. Blue Dragons are highly aggressive and territorial. Everything that wandered into their territory either became lunch or a charred lump. They mated for life and only laid a cluster of eggs half a century. This coupled with their tendency to fight each other over territory, often to the death, led to a very slow growth of Blue Dragons.

This period also marked the time when the first Avatar, the messenger and embodiment of God, descended on this world. Resided on Mount of Humility, the elusive Sheol of the Void was both proud and saddened to be the first and only sapient being to walk Vealiv. But it knew its place and knew Miet Ecaps had a purpose in creating it. So it waited.
