Chapter 1:

You wake up, covered in ashes and rubble. You brush yourself off and get to your feet, disorientated. There are cries in the distance, and smoke in the air- your village has just been decimated.
You sway around, looking at the remains of your home, then you remember- your family! Are they in danger?
You cough, clearing the air. You scramble through the destroyed house, and you see a leg sticking out from a pile of what looks like shattered bricks and wood.
You rip through the rubble, and uncover your cousin Heldrick's body. He was helping you train to fight with:

He's alive, and as you help him to his feet he tells you, "One of the four took Calypso."
You're shocked, almost dropping to your knees.
The four adversaries that've plagued this town, the Four Horsemen, have suddenly gotten stronger, strong enough to wipe your village out, but why?
You insist on saving Calypso, your sister. Heldrick reluctantly agrees to accompany you.

The two of you step outside, almost all of the buildings are destroyed. Smoke pours into the overcast sky.
You hear the cry of a horse. Heldrick begins to tremble as the sounds of hooves clapping against the ground grow ever louder. There's a massive silhouette through the smoke and fog, closing in fast.
"Get down!" cries Heldrick, hopping back towards the house.
Before he can reach it, a magical shard of

[]Steel
[]Darkness
[]Bone

flies through the air and pins your cousin to the whats left of the wall of your house. He cries in pain, frantically trying to pry out the shard, but it's wedged in deep.

You hear a grumble and a laugh. The clapping of hooves are slow, the horse is right behind you.

You slowly turn around and a massive

[] Fiery Horse
[] Skeletal Horse
[] Ethereal Horse
[] Black, Armored Horse

with a rider, hard to make out the features, towers over you. Both horse and rider have their sights on you.

Okay time for Chapter 2:

Heldrick struggles to remove the black, whisky shard from his hand. He can't move- yet he can't grip it either, like its made of smoke. He's watching you, keeping himself upright.

"Here!" he calls out, kicking a rusty sword towards you. You catch it, as the horse, black, massive and covered in durable but elegant armor. You hear a grumbly laugh, its from the horseman on top.

The horseman charges at you, you tuck and roll out of the way, but the horse is quick. He swings a flail at you, but you block it with the sword.

"Now, Death!" the horseman cries out. You're confused, but you now know your enemy a little better, he clearly isn't Death. That leaves the possibility down to three.

More dark shards fly out from the smoke of the burning village, this time they knock the sword from your hands, and one grazes your side, slicing you open.

The massive black horse rears up, trying to crush you with its front hooves, but you dodge. You pick up your sword, bloody, hurt, but alive. Heldrick is still stuck to the side of the house. You turn your attention to him, just as the horseman does.
"I never noticed you before," the horseman says, getting off the horse. His armor is equally as elegant as the horse's he rides. His amor is white, and he carries a cane sword. He points it at Heldrick.
"I noticed you when you burnt down our village, Conquest! When does the carnage stop!?" Heldrick retaliates.
Your heart skips a beat, your own cousin knows one of the horsemen.
"You know exactly what I'm after, I must reunite the Sacred Souls. Besides, you'll be alongside dear Calypso soon enough," Conquest confidently says.
"You'll have hell to pay if you take my soul," Heldrick replies.
"No," Conquest replies. "I'll just be one step closer to freedom."

If that's Conquest, then that means Death is somewhere around the village, and he's close enough to fire those spikes. You're on alert. You hear multiple footsteps, not sure if they're friendly or not.
Conquest prepares to kill Heldrick. Heldrick's eyes are on you, he's still stuck, but he gestures to the sword in your hands. You've got to attack. The Horse or the Horseman, as well as the potential enemies in the shadows, there are multiple targets.

How will you try save your cousin?

Chapter 3:

You notice the horse is turned away from you. In the gaps of the armour, you spot the hide of the horse, the joints are exposed. The horse is fixated on its rider, who is preparing to execute your cousin.
A sense of courage fills you, and you grip your rusty sword tight and dive towards the horse silently.
It doesn't notice you, you take the swing, hitting it right in the left hind knee. The horse cries out, and your next thought is to aim for the next leg- the more joints you hit, the higher the chance you'll cripple the steed.

Your thoughts are soon interrupted by a hoof in your gut, launching you several feet away. You're definitely down a rib or two. You look at your sword- and realize the rusty blade is gone. You look at the horse- the blade shattered and in pieces by its hooves.

Conquest shifts his attention from Heldrick to his horse.

"What is it, Triumph!?" he asks, concern in his voice. It was the most human he had ever sounded.
His steed- Triumph, shakes his head, and trots to his rider's side. There's no trail of blood following the horse, you didn't cut it open.

Conquest looks at you. He twirls his sword around as he approaches you.

"So, you're the one who attempted to hurt my trusted steed?"

You answer with a glare.

Conquest snickers, picking you up off the ground with one arm.

"Put him down you bastard," Heldrick hisses.

Conquest turns around.

"Oh? He's special to you? He looks weaker than you!"

Conquest carries you towards your cousin. He tosses you right beside him, you're too hurt to retaliate.

"However, he's got a spirit many times stronger than you, and that's something I will applaud....and for that I offer you a deal," Conquest explains.
"In exchange, you'll both be spared."

You and your cousin look at each other.

"The hell you mean a deal? This is absurd," Heldrick replies.

Conquest points his sword at you.
"It's his decision, not yours. Interested?"

[] "Sure, I'll bite."
[] "No way in hell, I won't trust a demon."
[] "There's got to be a catch."
[] "Why would you make a deal with a human?"
