Honestly, Cerberus has such shitty luck I can see it as a trap even if they're not the ones who made it.

The ground vehicles which maneuver via repulsor and mass effect core, are vacuum rated, and piloted by VI?

They aren't meant for that in the slightest, but they can do it. There is no harm in them being ready, even if they aren't used.

Basically the only valuable cargo we have is the 3 Tigers and some boxes of alternate loadouts. And Revy herself.

So lets make it so the only way they can get the Tigers is if they've already fought and been disabled.

Either defending themselves in the hold or open the bay doors and launch a counter boarding action by having them deliver the boarders and shooting open the air locks.

Seriously, would you see them coming in time to do something?

If the calcs previous are still current they're high mach capable in atmosphere where they measure 0 to mach instead of 0 to 60. Without atmosphere or Gravity and under VI control?

Arguments about let's see... patent law, the feasibility of miniaturized lasers as point defense, some mildly esoteric optical physics, the necessity of various levels of blackboxing, and probably several other things I can't think of off the top of my head.
