While you learned to write, I studied the blade.
It is the year 1972 and the world has been at peace since the defeat of the Soviet Union 19 years ago in what is now being referred to by historians as the Great World War II. The USSR has been dismantled and disarmed with the various Socialist Republics being reformed into the World Socialist Alliance. With their new leader appearing to led Russia into a new era of peace, many member nations of the Allied Powers have begun to scale back their military and focus on internal issues.
However, unbeknownst to the Western powers, Premier Alexander Romanov harbors a deep hatred of the Allies for their destruction of his homeland. Using his cover as their puppet dictator, he is able to attract many countries across the world into his new USSR.
Now, after many resentful years of waiting, Premier Romanov has finally seized the opportunity to began his revenge. Mexico has just fallen to a Communist uprising and petitioned to join the growing WSA. With the Allied Powers none the wiser, Russian forces have begun to transfer from their bases in Cuba to the new Social Republic of Mexico in preparation for an invasion of the continental United States.

Making up the bulk of Soviet ground forces, the Volunteer Militia is comprised mostly conscripts and prisoners. Armed with the most basic of weapons and trained for all of 15 minutes, these men and women are ready to give their lives for the Motherland under the watchful eyes of their commissars.
Starting Hero: Oleg Vodnik (Elite Rhino Tank)

Making up the elite core of Soviet ground forces, all members of the Red Army are highly trained and seasoned soldiers. Specializing in blitz assaults with their powerful tanks and mechanized infantry, the Red Army has been instrumental in breaking Allied lines and sowing chaos across the battlefield.

Following the Great War, much of the Soviet Air Force was dismantled to cripple the USSR's ability to mount another invasion of Europe. The few MiGs that remain are reserved for elite pilots who can easily match entire Allied squadrons in the air despite being vastly outnumbered.

Knowing the vastly superior Allied nuclear arsenal would quickly put an end to any conventional Soviet invasion, the Psi Corps was founded as a top secret trump card of the Soviet military. Psi Corps operatives are highly trained and heavily indoctrinated agents of the USSR who can subvert even the most loyal of Allied soldiers.
Starting Hero: Yuri Prime (Elite Psychic Operative)

Small elite units of highly trained Soviet operatives who are inserted into unstable regions across the world with the task of creating, training and leading guerrilla cells loyal to Socialism. The majority of Black Ops units will be local militia that employ hit-and-run and terror attacks backed up by elite Soviet commandos to destabilize local Allied forces.

With the end of the Great War and the disarmament of the Soviet Union, most Americans have returned to a more isolationist mind set with the belief that the US military is no longer needed. Instructmental in defending Great Britain against Russian forces during the Great War, the Royal Air Force has been designed with the sole purpose of preventing countering Soviet air forces should they ever rearm and provide vital air support for Allied ground units.

The pride of the German Wehrmacht are the elite state of the art tanks of their Panzer Corps. The island nation of Japan has long relied on its navy to project power across the Pacific Ocean and keep the Soviet Navy contained within their ports. The Empire boosts some of the most advanced technology in the world and nowhere is that technology put to greater effect then their navy. Based out of numerous floating island fortresses, the Imperial Navy is what keeps Russia fearful of a two front war.
Starting Hero: Naomi Shirada (Elite Shogun Battleship)

A top secret operation created by the Empire of the Rising Sun with the difficult task of catching up to the potent Soviet Psi Corps in the field of human psychic abilities. Many children were screened and tested for psychic abilities but only a handful showed any potential and even fewer survived the dangerous experiments and training needed for field operation.
Starting Hero: Izumi Matsui (Elite Psychic Operative)
AN: New quest that I've had in my head for a while now. I'm still doing my Halo quest but I wanted something a little less serious (discussing AI mortality and trying desperately to prolong your character's short life is kinda depressing). I also wanted to try a new format with shorter updates at a faster (maybe) rate. No promises that I'll be able to maintain regular updates especially since I still want to focus on my other quest and I still have classes.
