Hullo, thar! I'm a mighty coffeecup. You might know me from....well, I mean I've been co-GM of a quest for like...under a week. So you probably don't know me from squash bean salad. Anyway! I'm a big fan of Warhammer, both fantasy and 40k. And, y'know, I've been reading a heap of stuff about Primarchs. So....here we are. Hopefully this goes okay. Be gentle? I've never done this before

Prince Wilhelm, Prince of Altdorf, and Elector-Count of Reikland, sighed heavily as he felt his horse sway beneath him. It was a nice night, Morrslieb was high in the sky, a good omen, for the chance of an errant warpstone comet crushing him was as low as it was likely to get, yet he felt little joy. His Cousin, Emperor Deiter the Fourth, of Stirland, was….well, doing a poor job of ruling would be a bit overly generous. He seemed to spend more time with whatever whore had been scrounged from the streets of Altdorf than he did doing anything….Emperor-y. Sigmar would hang his head in shame. At both Wilhelm's vocabulary and his cousin's incompetence.

Still, he supposed nothing ill had come of it yet. Nothing too ill, at least. "Hail, Count. How farther do we ride? We should aim to return to Kemperbad before long. I would not wish to fend off raiders this late. Or blunder into an ambu-"

With a raise of his hand, Wilhelm silenced his guard, he could still see Kemperbad, it wasn't like they had gone far. They could return swiftly. "I am aware, Boris. We shall not be much longer. I merely wish to….clear the air, after dealing with the Thirteen." The guard nodded, dropping his helm back into place, and keeping vigil for his lord.

He needn't have waited long for something to happen, for almost as soon as William had finished speaking, a great comet lit up the skies, and all men, William and his four guards, turned to stare in shock at its sudden appearance. "By the comet…." One of them muttered, only just loud enough for Wilhelm's well-practiced hearing to pick up. In a great crash, frighteningly close, the comet crashed to the ground. The heat from the explosion was intense. He could feel the fires from here. He should….

He should return to the city. The horses were spooked, the guards on edge, and yet… "Men, guard up." His guards nodded, and slowly, the coaxed their horses towards the rapidly dying fire. They were reikland steeds, they recovered quickly from their shock.

Approaching the….comet? It was like no comet he'd ever seen, a large silver orb. Strange…

Dismounting, he drew his runefang. His guards dropped down, two training guns on the orb, the others right behind Wilhelm, swords drawn, shields up. "My Count, we must...not go near it. I have a grim feeling about it. It...it must be from Morrslieb. We should head back to Kemperbad, and call a priest!" Boris protested, as Wilhelm got ever closer. There was a….a sigil. It had to be. II. 2? What was….

He ran a hand over the number. What could it m-

"EVERYONE BACK!" Wilhelm yelled. The pod...crumbled. It had felt like metal, but it just...crumbled. And as it crumbled like dust, it revealed a baby….

For the most part it looked like….well, a normal human child. But, he could feel that something was...wrong. As he got a better look he realised…

[] Great, feathery wings of pure white.
[] Dark black wings, hardly visible, even with the light
[] Small, sharp fangs
[] The child had an almost...energy, about them, and his presence seemed to calm all around him
[] Nothing, it was but a simple trick of the light.
Slowly, Wilhelm picked up the child, it gurgled as he had seen small children do. "Come. Men, we ride back to Kemperbad." The guards looked at the child warily, not really putting the weaponry away.

"My Count, are you...sure? The child was found in warpstone! We-" Again, cradling the child, Wilhelm raised his hand.

"Yes. We will take it to a priest. In secret." He insisted, and so, the men mounted back up, and babe in tow, they rode off back to Kemperbad.

In his mind, he already was coming up with a name for the child. He couldn't help it, but he felt they were….important, somehow. By the time they'd reached the bridge back Across the Reik, Wilhem had settled on…. [] Write in

Character Sheet
Name: Prince Sigmund Holswig-Schliestein
Title: Prince of Altdorf, Prince of Reikland, 'Beast of Reikland' (Unofficial)
Age: 15
Religion: Sigmarite
Spouse: None

STATLINE:
Martial: 35. You are an absolute beast in battle, few have ever seen any man fight like you, let alone a man as strong as you.
Diplomacy: 24. You have a silver tongue, and whatever problem your tree-trunk like arms cannot solve, your silver tongue usually can
Stewardship: 17. You are not as good with a pen, as you are with a sword, and in your humble opinion, pale to your wise father in matters of state.
Intrigue: 15. You have no head for courtly intrigues. That is for men like your brother and father. Your silver tongue, though, takes you far.
Learning: 35. You are….a bit of a mad genius. Your experiments are always amazing and broad in scope, but not always successful. You have, what you heard the engineer you sought to tutor you called 'the gift'
Piety: 19. While not the most pious in your family, you have suitably impressed an Arch-Lector. Whether due to your devotion, or your way with words, you cannot say

TRAITS:
Primarch: Unknown to you, you were not born of a union between your father and mother, but in a lab on a far off world you have never even heard of. Designed to be perfect, you are stronger, faster, smarter, and taller than the average man could ever hope to be. You know no fear. For you are a Primarch, unknown son of the Emperor. +10 to all rolls, forever.

Natural Charisma: You have a very eloquent and natural way of speaking, and an almost unnatural way of reading people. You are a talented orator, and with minimal effort, are able to win people to your side. +20 to all Diplomacy rolls

Reiklander Blood: You are a reiklander, as true as any other. As such, you take a great measure of pride in your home, and why shouldn't you? It is so far superior to everywhere else in the Empire, though, the other provinces are largely nice as well. Apart from the Wasteland. For it contains Marienburg. And, of course, Brettonia, the land of drunken fools on horseback. The only land you know of you detest more than the Wasteland. +10 to all diplomacy rolls when interacting with a fellow Reiklander, -5 when dealing with Non-Reiklanders, -10 when dealing with Marienburgers and Bretons

Competent Strategist: Despite your youth, you have a fairly strong grasp on tactics. You are hardly innovative, but you have a solid grounding in the basics of most land-based warfare, and no true weaknesses. +10 to Military Planning, Logistics and Organization rolls.

Competent Administrator: You are fairly adept at matters of state, though much of this is carried by your highly charismatic manner of speech, and of writing. Had you a mind to, you would likely be a highly popular author. Instead, you channel this into your (purely theoretical) ability to rule. +10 to State-based rolls

Mad Genius: You have 'the gift' as one engineer put it. Truly, you are never happier than when you are alone in your room, with your reams of paper and plans, drawing and creating huge architecture, new boats, new weapons, truly mad constructs of metal and wood. In your dreams, visions of designs come to you. Of your final design. Of your magnus opus. A gleaming gold ship, to cross the stars, and spread Sigmar's Light to all corners. +35 to all Science and Engineering rolls. Additionally, minor risk of periodic disappearance to focus on further your Magnum Opus

Hammer-Time: You are trained with many weapons, and truly, you are competent at worst with them all, but you are truly in your element when you wield your Warhammer. +5 to all combat rolls when you have a warhammer

Hatred of Orcs: Long has Sigmar's Empire suffered under the depredations of the Orc tribes that lurk in the forests, and int he Grey mountains. Long have you watched your father organise the state army to crush them. And long have you feared, one day, that he would not return. You burn with an inner hatred of the greenskins. +10 to personal combat rolls against Greenskins

Knowledge of passes into Brettonia: Over the years of your youth, you devoted much time to pouring over books about these two passes, that connect Mighty Reikland to their effeminate, wine-soaked Neigbhours. These hopeless neighbours would surely be lost, without good, Reiklander steel and shot keeping the passes open. One dreads to think, what would occur should they be cut off. Though, they are too simple to understand gunpowder, so you suppose nothing of value is lost. +15 to Navigating the Axe-bite and Grey Lady pass, additional knowledge of smaller, more dangerous passes and back-routes through the mountains.

Knightly Knowledge: You understand, through over a decade of study both practical and theoretical, the purpose of Knights in the empire. You can recount, from memory, the history of each and every major order in Reikland, Talabecland, Wissenland, and Averland. You have, through the periphery, also gained some knowledge of the far, far inferior 'knights' of Brettonia, who like to bleat about chivalry, as they brutalise peasents and are crushed by rocks in the Axe-bite pass. +10 to any lore rolls about Knights of any order but the most minor. +5 to rolls about minor knightly orders, and Brettonian knights.

Friends and Foes
An important note, the first level of bullet point are people who know you personally, and who therefore, either love or hate you. People on the second point are aware of you on a more personal basis, and still like you, though nowhere near as much. Consider them a bonus.

FRIENDS AND ALLIES:
  • Your Father, Wilhelm the Third of Reikland.
    • His Steward, Jurgen
  • Your Brother, Luitpold
    • Luitpold's current 'love of his life' Estana, dual duel dagger weilding Tilean.
  • Helmut Schrieber, Captain of the Knights Gryphon
    • Several Squires amongst the ranks of the Knights Gryphon
  • Arch-Lector Garibald
FOES
  • Klaus Finckelmann, Merchant from Kemperbad
    • Some members of the Kemperbad Merchants Guild
    • Some members of the Kemperbad City Council

[X]They were a sign from above. A test. If this child could be lead to the side of the righteous then maybe the darkness could be pushed away, but if they fell then they would be assuredly doomed.

No, the write in is for the name.

Sorry if that wasn't clear

Just so we are totally clear, the write in is for the name, the bit after the name, while interesting, does not matter.

Damn, I was hoping we would get to pick where the child fell. I've had this idea for a Polynesian Primarch for a while.
