If you are reading this, then this means the bastard really did it. He dumped me into some fictional place and now I have to hope you people can somehow help me survive long enough to get the hell out of here, and hopefully kick that bastard's ass in the process.
Okay, maybe a little context is needed.
It all started a couple of days ago, when I was going for a part-time cleaning job. Pay was going to be decent; just clean up this lab with the other contractors, get paid, and go home to get the smell of disinfectant out of my clothes. Of course, it doesn't go like that.
First off, none of the others showed up, and this wasn't a one-man job I can tell you. Next thing? I'm hit with the sleeping gas and wake up next to something that looks like if Stargate got crossed over with Event Horizon, it was creepy as all hell. And then That Bastard starts cackling and ranting over the intercom about some 'interdimensional nexus' garbage and saying that I will be the first to explore new realities, blah blah blah, insert generic mad scientist rant complete with stock-issue I'll Show Them All' at the end.
After that...it gets a little hazy, and not a little nightmarish.
So now, here I am, stuck in some supposed nexus reality that's being fought over by a group of factions, and I'm stuck in the middle as a 'independent contractor' until I can find my way home.
So...help a person in need? Please?
Who is the poor soul stuck in the Nexus?
[]Gideon020, an SV'er.
Pity the poor author, cast by ROB into this harsh place. Shall Death be a release, or will SV help him get back to a normal life until the next time this happens?
Pros:
-Minor Magic (HUD): Only in combat and up close can this permanent enchantment be spotted. Provide +10 to Gunnery and +5 to Piloting.
-Modified Firing Systems: Gideon020's plane can use both a Laser and Missile weapon in a single attack.
-Insurance Policy: You've modified your plane with an automatic turret to cover your rear.
-Just Like The Games: Your aircraft, being from a videogame, has infinite ammo for it's main weapons, but not the Super Bombs.
Cons:
-The Multiverse Doesn't Like You: And from that, neither do most NPC's even if they've never met you. -20 to Initial Reaction scores due to this rejection of Reality by Fiction. On the plus side, this fades permanently if you can befriend someone.
-No Plot Armour: Wounds are permanently locked at 1 and cannot be improved.
-Solo Operations: For some reason, there's never any wingmen or allied planes around when you need them...
-No Easy Days: You always receive the most difficult missions. At least they pay well...
Beast Wing Custom: A dual-engine fighter that's heavy on armour and guns, and a bit light on agility, the Beast Wing sports a battery of cannons and heavy machineguns at the front, and is a fierce opponent thanks to it's Stinger Missiles and Flamethrower. Heavy armour and a robust airframe mated to powerful, efficient engines and very large fuel tanks mean that the Beast Wing is perfect for long-endurance missions while it's lacking agility could be a severe detriment in a dogfight. This custom version has an auto-turret mounted behind the cockpit to deal with any pursuers.
Stats:
-Armour: 85%
-Structure: 10,000
-Gunner Bonus: +6
-Piloting Bonus: +2

-Laser Weapon Mount [Beast Flamethrower]: 150+(6d10x2), 1 Attack per Shot, Infinite Ammo
-Missile Mount [Stinger Missiles]: 50+(4d10x3), 10 Attacks per shot, Infinite Ammo.
-Super Bomb Mount [Shockwave Parachute Bomb]: 2500, 1 Attack per shot, 10 Ammo.
[]Jack Ripley
He probably is as dashing and noble as he acts, but is that all?
Pros:
-Tough Guy: You ignore the first attack that causes a Wound once per mission.
-Dashing Good Looks: +15 to NPC initial reactions.
-Well Connected: On a successful Charisma Roll, you can always find a friend at any friendly base or town.
-White Knight: You will always help people in need and spare heavily damaged enemy planes, both of which have their own rewards.
Cons:
-Hates Overkill: You don't use Super Bombs on your plane.
-Don't Have Time To Press Buttons: You carry less Missiles on your plane.
-I Have Standards: You refuse any missions that involve Ground Attacks.
The Paladin: This high-speed jet fighter is designed for quickly engaging and destroying targets in dogfights due its low missile capacity, making it reliant on using it's lasers and main guns to get the job done. All that speed and agility come at a price; the Paladin is more reliant on quickly reaching allied refuelling planes or field bases in order to stay in the fight, which isn't helped by it's light armour
Stats:
-Armour: 35%
-Structure: 2000
-Gunner Bonus: +5
-Piloting Bonus: +8
-Radar: +10
-Fuel Capacity: 20 Turns
-Machineguns: 40+(3d10x2), 7 Shots per Attack, 200 Ammo
-Laser Weapon Mount [Beam Laser]: 60+(2d10x2), 4 Shots per Attack, 100 Ammo
-MIssile Weapon Mount [Straight Missile]: 50+(4d10x2), 2 Shots per Attack, 4 Ammo

Being able to look back at the past is a good thing, but to hold onto it so tightly you lose sight of the future rarely is.
Pros
-Eidetic Memory: Having perfect recall is pretty useful for making sure you have your facts and evidence straight, or remembering an important piece of intel.
-History Buff: If you can look up information previously recorded about individuals, enemies, anything relevant then it provides a bonus in any future encounters.
-Strategist: You can direct allied aircraft to better attack enemies and targets with a successful Brains roll.
Cons
-Slow to Adapt: You suffer penalties if enemies are not equipped or operating as past information dictates until you adapt to the new tactics and equipment.
-Slow To Change: You suffer penalties to Tinker rolls when installing new equipment and weaponry, modifying existing systems suffers no penalties.
-Stubborn: Once you have an idea or plan, you'll see it through even if the situation is no longer to your advantage to enact the idea or plan.
The Seeker: This reliable, older aircraft is one of the cheaper and more common jets in the sky, armed with a fairly basic arsenal that offers room for improvement and easy modification and upgrading. Solidly built with decent fuel range, the Seeker's main flaws are poor radar and a rather weak Laser Weapon for its mounting.
