Orochi.

He is the demon responsible for summoning many realm into his world, provoking the war against the Mystic themselves.

He test himself on every powerful warriors on his own.

One by one, each of every warrior has fallen by the might that is Orochi; and his strategist, Da Ji, has taken a few warrior as a hostage to force the warrior into servitude.

Among the warrior that has been taken is Lu Ling Qi, daughter of the mighty Lu Bu, who he himself is also defeated and force into servitude by Orochi.

The Demon Army has taken and hid Lu Ling Qi in Ueda Castle, and will be planned to move her into another castle.

However, they have made a fatal mistake.

Among the hostage they took, it is a mercenary who shouldn't not to be underestimated.

Unknown to them, however, there is a third party, one who is invading Ueda Castle.

Infiltration of Ueda: Beginning

It was a calm and clear night, with a half-moon in the sky, as a five-man group led by a dark knight arrived at one of the side entrances to a great castle, part of which was underground. The dark knight was Nobunaga Oda, the warlord of the Oda Army.

Ever since the Oda Army suffered a grave defeat in the open field due to the overwhelming strength, numbers and sorcery of the army of the Serpent King, Orochi, they had gone into hiding, adopting guerrilla tactics, discreetly scouting and gathering information, and fighting a continuous running battle against the Orochi Army. In a way, they had to apply some of the methods normally used by shinobi.

Nobunaga brought out a map of the battlefield as they went over their plans. The idea was to take a small team, composed of the Demon King himself, Ranmaru Mori the trusted squire, and three other officers, break into Ueda Castle, and free the prisoners held within. Their intel, which also included the castle layout, the number of guards and their patrol routes, indicated that there were potential allies inside which were held there by the Orochi Army.

While he was out in the field, Nobunaga charged his wife, No, with running the day-to-day operations of the army.

They arrived by taking side routes and sneaking past the guards, knowing that they couldn't afford a frontal assault at the moment.

"This is what we will do to free the prisoners. Any objections?"

"None, my lord."

They then proceeded to continue their infiltration into the castle.

Escaping Ueda Castle begin

"Ow, my head." A young boy groan away as he got up and look around himself. From the area he's in; he seem to be inside of a temple of sort.

He just groan in frustration.

"This is what happened when you drink too much wine." The boy muttered himself before noticing a demon guard the cell where he's at.

He just shake his head.

"Amateur."

Escape from Ueda Castle, Lingqi's Cell

Ah, yes, prison.

It wasn't the comfiest of places, but at least she had a roof over her head now. Though, Ling Qi dearly wished for more illumination, and perhaps some ventilation in this damned place. Goodness knows dungeons like these tend to smell of piss, waste and sweat, and one could never know if they were stepping on a puddle of the dastardly things without the use of a lantern. At least on the road, she didn't have to smell the waste products of living things all time, and usually could keep on being hygienic.

But alas, it was not to be and so, and Ling Qi sat in her dark prison cell, devoid of her arms and armor but not of her pride.

She was a warrior, the Daughter of Lu Bu no less, and she would most assuredly devise a way out of this prison and enact her vengeance upon her captors.

Yes, her blood demanded it to be so and it shall be so!

Now, to think of a plan...

In the meantime, Nobunaga and company continued to make their way into the castle, sneaking past and occasionally silently eliminating the demonic guards and hiding their bodies.

The boy grabbed the demon from behind the cell and snap his neck, killing the demon; he then check the corpse for the keys, which unfortunately couldn't find it.

"Screw it." He concluded as he kicked the cell door, forcedly opened it, before peek his head out and leave the cell, he should find his junk first before leaving though.

"Now then, which way should I go?"

Asking for help was not something Lingqi did. She had her pride damnit! And without her possessions, that was the only thing she had and she wasn't about to let go of it anytime soon.

So, Lingqi sat there to herself, even as the distinctive sound of a cell door being kicked open echoed throughout the dark dungeon. No doubt, more guards would soon flood the prison to investigate the noise and that was bad. Mainly, because she wanted to escape all sneaky like, but alas, it was not to be.

Standing up, Lingqi placed one foot against the wall directly opposite of her cell's door, and like a unloaded spring, slammed her entire body's weight, shoulder first, against the door. The door fell, hinges and all, against the ground with a loud metallic clang and reassured Lingqi her of her lineage.

The guard was quickly dealt with using a simple punch to the stomach, and Lingqi proceeded to steal his spear. A knocked out man didn't need a weapon after all.

Now armed, the Daughter of Lu Bu began to aimlessly wander around, not really sure where the exit was.

Ueda Castle

The sensation of the cold wooden floor woke Chris up from his slumber.

"My head..." He moaned slightly while holding his head. It was like someone decided to bash his head repeatedly with a freaking metal bat.

Chris tried standing up and started checking his body for any injuries and, possibly equipments. Ah, yes. There's this one time Section Chief decided to drop him into the mission sight with just basic gears and a maid dress.

Well, at least this time I'm still wearing men's clothes...

He let out a sigh of relief as he checked the dual tonfas strapped to his waist. No damage to the mana-ammo conversion piece either. Now then, what's the deal with all this? Chris wondered as he walked along the empty corridor with obvious Japanese-influent architect. The last thing he knew before waking up here was that he had a small nap while waiting for his flight.

Haizz...So much for the first vacation in 5 years.

He thought exasperatedly. Still it didn't look like he got kidnapped or got assigned on a sudden mission either. Huh? Who's that?

At the end of the corridor and walking toward him was human figure. The strange things about him was the ash grey skin coupling together with outfits looking straight out of some extras of a historical drama film. Also, he had a spear in his hand. But honestly, Chris himself already got used to people using all kind of weird stuffs as weapons already. And to people pointing deadly weapons at him, too. Like now, for instance.

"Intruder! Get her!"

Didn't even have time to retort against that. Chris brandished the White Fangs and slightly lower his body. Focusing his mana into his legs, he crushed the wooden floor and dashed forward like a speeding bullet. In a quick motion, he jabbed the soldier in the neck with the front end of the tonfa. The mere force behind it threw him backwards and crashed against several soldiers that just appeared.

With dance-like steps, he avoided a coming blow of a sword from another grey-skinned warrior, Chris twisted his body and slammed the back of the left White Fang into his head, knocking him out. The shouting from the other side of the corridor told him that he couldn't just retreat back either.

Then I can only make my way through force, then!

Twirling the dual weapons, he sent the stream of mana along it. As the smell of ozone surrounded the air, white bluish bolts of lightning cracked around Chris before coming together along White Fangs. Facing numerous coming Demon soldiers before him, staring down the mass of killing intent they emitted, he smiled cheerfully, his eyes returned back those glares with icy coldness.

"Now, let's see what you guys made of, huh. Hahhhhhhhhhh!"

With a thunderous warcry, he lunged forward and began his assault on the troops.

Akuseru look around the corridor as he punch another demon in his face.

"No, seriously, where the heck is this place?" He ask himself before ducked to avoid another strike and roundhouse kick it, sending it to the wall. He sight as he scratch at the back of his head; "What a bother." He mutter to himself before moving through the dark corridor, with a sword he found along the way; "Now then, there should be a armory around here?" He ask himself before noticing a stair going up, making him smile.

"I think I'm in a right track." He reassure himself before going upstair.

Nobunaga and company were at one of the castle's many corridors, near the prison area, when they encountered a warrior, armed with a spear. She certainly didn't look like one of the guards. The Demon King decided to speak to her.

"Are you with or against Orochi?"

Lingqi did not recognize who she was talking to, but she knew that whoever she was talking to had their fair share of blood. The faces were unfamiliar, but she knew a warrior when she saw one. Now on guard, Lingqi glared at Nobunaga, continuing her examination of the Demon King and his little entourage.

"Against." She stated simply, voice steady and muscles tensed as the sound of battle reached her ears.

She was the Daughter of Lu Bu, and while her father served Orochi, her pride demanded she pay the Serpent King back for the humiliation her family suffered upon defeat and while some would call that treasonous, Lingqi begged to differ. She wasn't an unfaithful daughter, far from it, she was just doing work her father refused to do himself is all!

Fortunately, the wary warrior was against the Serpent King. She would make a good ally for the cause. Interestingly, they could hear the sounds of battle in the distance. Maybe the prisoners managed to free themselves?

"Good, for we are against Orochi as well, and are here to free and hopefully recruit those who were held in here. Shall we get going?"

Lingqi gave a curt nod and relaxed her stance just enough to not be considered hostile but enough to still be considered battle ready.

Enthusiastic as she wants to get back in action, she had no idea where she was and while she could follow the unmistakable sound of feet hurriedly rushing to the battlefield, she wasn't sure if her new allies aimed to use the sudden uproar as a distraction to get away or as an opportunity to cause more havoc. Either way, Lingqi stepped to the sidelines to signal for Nobunaga to lead the way.

The encounter between the two of them was cut short as the ceiling above the two warriors and the troop was smashed apart.

From above, something or rather someone crashed down the floor. The mere force was enough leave a small crater and blew apart countless pieces of wooden splinters. Inside the crack was a particularly large demon soldier. If one was to guessed by his armor and gear, he was likely either a commander or a captain of a squad.

The demon warrior raised his head weakly as he tried to stand up. At that moment, like a cannonball, a white figure flew downward.

"IT'S NOT OVER YET!"

With that roar, the white figure, or rather, Chris plunged the front end of his right tonfa into the demon's head, sending him back to the ground. The impact of his skull against the floor and of the White Fang created a small wave of dust and wooden splinters.

Hearing the satisfying crack of his opponent's skull, Chris stood up and lightly twirled the two tonfas, letting the centrifugal force cleaning them of the remaining blood. And as if notice the stares of various people there for the first time, his face frozen for a second, unsure of what to do, before giving an awkward, embarrassed smile.

"Nice to meet you?"

Two things happened at once.

Right after the woman signaled to let Nobunaga lead the way, the ceiling suddenly fell.

What followed was another female warrior, this time with tonfas, finishing off what looked like one of Orochi's officers, with blue skin, a stocky build, fangs, a sword, and black armor.

"Indeed. Are there other prisoners here who can join us?"

There was only one way to describe what Lingqi did the moment her senses picked up the slightest strain on the ceiling above her.

She moved.

Like a wolf on the prowl, fine honed instincts guided the young warrior as she leapt away from the point of impact just in time to turn and whip her spear towards the fallen officer. Huh, and here she thought it was someth-

Lingqi tensed, ready for anything as another figure fell and cut the almost certainly defeated officer's last connection to consciousness.

Her new target was a girl by the looks of it, but Lingqi paid that fact no heed.

Spear point still pointed at the new arrival, Lingqi answered Nobunaga's question. "This one perhaps?" Gaze never straying from the stranger, she spoke again. "I assume you're not a third party out for my head, yes?"

Blunt and straight to the point, just the way the Daughter of Lu Bu liked it.

Chris looked at the woman curiously. Then looking back at the man with the soldiers on the other side. Again, they wore armors that looked like they should be in the museum. Certainly not something you would use on the modern battlefield. Well, with the use of magic, spears and swords aren't that rare nowadays.

"Hey hey, I don't even know who you two are. Why should I target you anyway?" Chris lightly waved his hand in denial. He proceeded to point at the corpse of the Orochi's officer under his feet. "Unless, you are with these guys..." And he raised the tonfa pointing back at Lingqi and the other one pointed at Nobunaga, his face revealed a cold smile. The black barrels glowed bluish white ominously with lightning cracking slightly at one end. "Or you guys are the one who brought me, then that would be a completely different story, no?"

Nobunaga simply stared calmly as the unknown warrior pointed her tonfas, radiating some kind of power. He could defend himself with a barrier if necessary, anyway.

"I am Nobunaga Oda, and I am not with Orochi, nor did I bring you here. Who are you two?"

Akuseru peek his head out of the corner as he spy a gate keeper and a few soldier. He look at where he holding a longsword he took from a soldier.

He just sight.

"What a bother. Oh well, here's goes nothing." He told to himself before charging toward the unit, who has notice him.

"Intruder!" One of the soldier shout before charging toward Akuseru. The young mercenary sidestep a thrust before sweep kick the demon's leg, tumbling him to the floor, and then deflect a spear from another demon before knocking him out with his fist. He then dash toward the gatekeeper, who is with two soldier, and stunt him with a kick before spinning himself, killing two of the demon surrounding him, and stab at the gatekeeper.

He then took the key and inserted into the key slot, opening up. Akuseru whistle as he see equipment and item in it.

"Okay then, time to gear up." He said while smiling a bit before going in to get change.

Lingqi internally groaned, wishing she still had her armor instead of these admittedly fancy robes. Surely, her armed and armored figure would have cut a infinitely more intimidating figure than what she had now. Instead, she had to settle for a spear whose edge was duller than her glare whilst she wore an outfit more akin to a damsel than a warrior with Lu Bu's blood.

Eyes cold and expression unimpressed, Lingqi found it curious that the girl didn't know who she was talking to along with the general cluelessness in her words.

Perhaps an introduction to jog her memory then?

"Lu Lingqi, Daughter of Lu Bu!" Lingqi announced in reply to Nobunaga's question, obvious pride in her voice as she continued her stare down with the tonfa wielding warrior. "I can assure you we are not allied with those snakes, nor did I bring you here." Black tendrils tinged with fluctuating streaks of red lightning covered the tip of Lingqi's spear as she tilted her body forwards, spear pointed at the ground in what was obviously a fighting stance. "However, if you insist on getting in my way..." Feet planted on the ground, and muscles tensed in preparation, Lingqi once again proved why the Lu family never was famous for being diplomats.

Lu Bu? As in the legendary warrior from ancient China? And this is his daughter? Interesting...

The standoff before him would help no one, however.

"We are on the same side. There is no need for threats among allies."

"Oda Nobunaga? The Fool of Owari? Demon King of Sixth Heaven?" Chris raised his eyebrow in a mix of disbelief and bewilderment.

Okay...Unless somehow he got dropped into some kind of asylum or some kind of LARP sessions, which he doubted considering these demon soldiers, he had fought earlier, then somehow he just got dropped into the Warring States Era, with demons.

And Lu Bu now? That famous general from Romance of The Three Kingdom? And that woman was his daughter?

Just what kind of mess did he get wrapped up into this time!?

"Very well, Mister Oda. If you are against these...things and don't involve with me being here, then I guess we have the same goal then, I would not mind give you some assistance."

He put down his arms in a more relaxed stance, showing that he had no intention to attack. The swirling bolts of lightning on the dual tonfas dissipated.

"My name is Chris Harrison. No fancy title, I'm afraid." He gave a small laugh at his own joke, trying to lighten the mood.

"It's a pleasure to meet both of you, Miss Lu, Mister Oda." He gave both of them a light nod with the usual courteous smile that he used whenever he met his clients.

"Now then, you had mentioned the name Orochi as an enemy, Mister Oda. Care to explain more as we go?" Chris made the gesture by pointing toward the direction where the sounds of combat were with the back end of his tonfa.

Nobunaga nodded in response.

As the group proceeded to where the sounds of battle were heard, the Oda warlord spoke to Chris.

"Orochi is an actual snake demon, wielding a scythe, who leads his own demonic army, many in number and strong in sorcery and combat, seeking to challenge and conquer all before him. Many of my fellow warlords, such as Ieyasu, suffered defeats in battle with his forces. I was no exception. My army has been in hiding ever since, striking from the shadows."

Akuseru got out, now wearing a odd white long coat with armor on the inside and with his favorite sword, the Kusanagi, strap on his back.

"Crud."

Chris Harrison?

Odd name. Definitely foreign and completely alien to her. Still, Lingqi relaxed her stance as Chris did the same. "Likewise." The young warrior replied, spear completely devoid of her family's energies. Face still deadpan, she let Nobunaga lead the way as he explained things to the newcomer.

The Fool of Owari? A weird name for someone as imposing as him, the Demon King of Six Heavens suited the man so much better. She hadn't heard of Nobunaga before but surely, he was a man of skill if Orochi deigned to face him in open combat.

She was torn from her thoughts when she spotted a unusually large gathering of snake-men and one of those Bull-men.

Finally, combat.

Feet planted on the ground, and spear hefted like a javelin, Lingqi threw the spear-turned-missile at the Bull's head. The projectile tore through the air like a demon out of hell, leaving a trail of smoke in its wake as it displaced air in the process.

With a shout of defiance and the strenght her family was famed for, Lingqi charged into the mass of soldiers, fully intending to beat the creatures up with her fists alone and uncaring for the fact that she was unarmed.
