Race: Slime. slimes are immortal indestructible blobs of an exotic (probably magical) material that selectively ignores certain physical laws. They look like snot or melted ice cream, and have barely enough strength to lift a phonebook. slime combat normally consists of enveloping a foe and melting their faces off by engaging their powerful corrosive properties though it still takes time to go through really dense substances. the real asset these beings bring is their powerful healing properties where they can keep alive and heal an enveloped ally in about 30 minutes for most ailments. this ability is mostly instinct based and they do not know exactly how it works. Specialization: Healing. so long as you have 10 to 20 % of a body mass you can revive anyone in 1 min. normal healing now takes 30 seconds. revival and healing removes any foreign materials like tatoos, piercings, and metal tooth fillings. Magic tattoo: Natural weapons. any equipment and weapons can be crystallized from slime into forms that copy most mechanical properties of the original's composition except minor non critical details like color and transparency, ammunition is completely alchemically synthesized before firing. Items:
-Heavy power armor. crystalizing rapidly arround the slime in the form of a huge humanoid juggernaut this armor serves mainly to shield others behind the soldier and for the incredible strenght boos it provides. looking more like a nurglite space marine oozing slime this armor allows the slime to fire anything biger than a pistol up to running and gunning with its artillery piece.

You can sense all biological components and processes that you have covered in your slime. Is that wriggly part a DNA or protein chain? You don't know but you can learn. as a start you can remove pain and put to sleep anyone by pure instinct.

Race: Kitsune. masters of the senses, they can weave complex illusions that let them have great battlefield control. they are naturally attuned to stealth. their guns make no sound and their passage is usually undetected. Specialization: Shapeshifting. you can change your form via a more solid illusion. you can touch things with it but keep your base form strength. Magic tattoo: revival. see special. Items:
-flight armor. lacking in armoring, this suit excells in flight, movility and a moderate strength assist.
-Regen armor. your armor repairs in seconds.
-Instant don. Your own pocket dimension to store your gear! as you cannot generate weapons and armor you begin with a full load of them in this pocket. Ammo does not regenerate and damage accumulates in weapons and non enchanted armor. You can repair or replace with mundane weapons of the same size and category (a pistol for an uzi for example) and the enchantments will transfer to them.
-vitals chip. combat drugs, health bar, and doubles your natural healing speed

SPECIAL: kitsune tsuki. Normally revival tattoo would need a base and a cloning tank, seeing as you are not getting a base and that technology doesn't exist in bet you're lucky you don't need it. Your soul becomes as fluid as your illusions and refuses to leave the mortal coil. Every time you die your soul flings itself and latches to the nearest person older than 5 but younger than 18. On the plus side you get any special powers they have. On the negative side, you're killing children and teens. you do not carry previous special powers to the next host.

And Nova? Yes the artillery would be alright and do mostly psychic damage to targets (strokes and brain hemorrhages) and a lingering status effect making them think their shadow is rooting them in place. Keep in mind that you fall unconscious for a day after using it and three more without strength to move.
The zombie bite is kind of in the middle. One hour blackout per bite, and 4 more hours of sleep daily to keep your horde under control. none if you let them roam free.
I actually meant the undying specialization Legion instead of infection. I also wanted to go along with the name of the quest. The infected specialization would work too.
Could we make the bite look as if we´re marking them with fox-fire? Just for stylistic reason and because i like the look of fox fire, but not its effects.
Could you just for convenience (and because i now am not quite sure what to choose) say how you would represent the Legion specialization in the quest? If not because of reasons like suspense, just say so.

Huh you're right. It seems like I mixed the bite that cures and the necromancy. Yeah the legion spec would work by imbuing then with energy (foxfire for the kitsune). As an active use it would not knock you long but leave you without powers and lethargic for about 2~3 days for a mindless minion like a skeleton with blue fire in its eyes, but knock you the whole 3 days for an intelligent one like a vampire or ghoul.
The bite (or foxfire branding) would still work the same as described before but just heal and not turn them permanently into zombies if removed under 2 days.

Sorry if im bothering you again. Do you mean that if it stays for longer than two days they will turn into your loyal zombies (I mean they become zombies anyway but i ask if they are loyal ones)? I assume the branding could only be removed by us (here´s me making all these assumption)?
That would fit very well for fighting or blackmailing intentions. If you fight against an enemy that you can´t defeat, just bite them and run (if you can still run. Do you black out immediately or after a certain amount of time has passed?). Doesn´t matter if they still have powers after the zombifying, they´re still done for. If so it would be like legion but with less "oomph" and (somewhat) safe healing for others as the sweet cherry on top.
Either way, infected just seems to be the better choice even if it can only be used (more) sparingly. Well, that´s one misunderstanding i´m happy about, that it occured. bite zombies are mindless, only legion creates inteligent ones. immediatly after the bite they become undead and gain fast healing but if they still have the mark/infection/whatever by day 2 they become full mindless zombies that you can only control by getting your energy drained (the extra sleep) if you forgo that, they rampage and can create even lesser zombies without their regeneration. yes the mark can only be removed by us, and chopping the limb does nothing to prevent the transformation.
I would ask whether you mean that they stop being zombies and become normal humans again if you remove the mark before the time is over and if they remain intelligent until this mark has passed, but i feel as if that would be asking to much. I mean afterall that could become a great point of intrigue in the quest, with us accidentally kicking of the zombie apocalypse and being actually paid (or threatened) to sleep. Then again that might not even make it into the story.

I just find that exchanging thoughts and ideas regarding stories is sometimes just as entertaining and interesting as the story itself. Even if the idea doesnt actually make it into the story itself.
Because i for now have no other questions, except for "at which point do you stop waiting for answers and start writing" as well as "are you gonna tell me the answer, if it doesnt make it into the story." and because i want to stop cluttering up the thread with my many questions. Well here is my attempt at doing just that with my meagre amount of knowledge. If it doesnt work then sorry, and im gonna delete this post right after. Well, here goes nothing.
Looking at the numbers, i sure hope that 8 heat corresponds to low heat and i didnt just screw us over.
As you came to the first thing you noticed was that against all probability you had suddenly been called into existence in plain day a couple kilometers above the surface of an alien Earth, and this was indeed an untenable position for a human being. The brief surge of panic that coursed though you could not be understated. thankfully the first signs of your new powers went into overdrive as the panic was quickly snuffed under a sensation of stone cold focus, the combat stims you guessed. while this was happening you also noticed that the sound of rushing air in your ears had gained a more deep and low tone and you could almost swear your fall became slower.
With this newfound time to think and the chemical clarity flowing though your brain you decided to put to use the rest of your abilities to use. Immediately a weird grid-like overlay spread in front of your visual field and some text quickly scrolled on the top right corner of your eyes in what looked to be a booting sequence. It went away as fast as it came and in its place you were presented with a little window popup reading:

- Releasing all hardware to neural control
and like that your consciousness expanded.
You knew now what you needed to do. First, by completely extending your extremities and taking a basic skydiving position you took yourself out of the wild tumble you were falling in and finally took a good look at where you were falling to. The land looked sharply divided between brown and white mountainous terrain with some snow fed rivers directly bellow you and what you instinctively knew to be North, while to the south laid some kind of dense forestation. You began projecting the jet engines and flight surfaces around yourself while getting a readout of your situation. Terminal velocity had been long since achieved, no radar ping was being detected by the HMD's sensors, and you would definitely not have enough time to decelerate to a safe speed for a ground landing with all that extra mass of your implants...
You immediately angle yourself and the jets to a partially frozen lake just within reach and overclock both propulsion and projectors to increase surface area as much as you can without the risk of shorting one. The last of your mind acceleration ends after what felt like an hour of micromanaging the last stretch of your decent and only scarce 50 meters left you thank the fabricator for the emotional dampening as you hit the frigid waters feet first.
First thing that comes to your mind is that unlike what you thought, ice water burns. You spare no time in engaging your bio chip to decouple pain from the skin layer, engaging as much hard light skintight armoring to insulate you, and begin swimming to shore aided by your constructs with propellers that were meant for silent flight more than water propulsion. Arriving to the shore did not come as fast as you would have liked but you managed somehow with only minor blue discoloration from your impromptu cold shower. If you ever see the guy who dumped you here again you would make sure to express your current displeasure, concussively.
Moving underneath a tree you begin by taking a good look at yourself for the first time since you began your adventure, and the results were impressive. This wasn't the Robert you knew in the mirror every day. You definitely were still you but so many things like your height and musculature were quite changed. Hey they even clothed you in really flattering clothing, though not quite adequate for this weather (or submersion) .

Its the 24 of December 2010 and you are inside the motherfucking Yàngbǎn's CUI! ROBdammit! Fortunately you seem to have attracted no attention with your landing and the daylight helped in not making your flight systems into a glowing beacon to find you and you fell pretty far from civilization. the nearest city with an airport would be Lhasa some 100km to the North and you see some roads that might get you there by foot, but the Border to Bhutan (and safety ) lies about 50km to the south with one mountain trail to follow. Their capital, Thimphu, would have a sizeable population to gather resources and more information safely out of the Yàngbǎn's (non covert) reach, but is some 120 km of mostly heavily forrested and rough terrain of Jigme Dorji national park if I do not want to take a big detour. the lack of settlements there could mean that I could get away with flying low to avoid radar and have no witnesses of it.
