There lies a dead master in a Grail War that should have no dead masters. There has been an eighth servant summoned in a Grail War that should have only 7.

Something has gone terribly, terribly wrong. The supervisor calls all her masters to account, as the yet of unknown invaders of this War begin to marshal their forces within the tourist districts of Xi'An.

The time has come for the fated crumbling of this false order. Fate/False Order, begin!

The communicate reached quickly the ears of the Masters chosen and marshalled by the CCP , the enigmatic supervisor summoning them officially for the first time to a meeting in the official building designated for her use in the war. Lesser familiars carrying the news quickly and efficiently to deliver the news to even the most hidden of the Masters.

They are to present themselves, for complications have arisen. And things that should not have happened. Have occurred.

Hour of the Irritating Blinking Light

Within the tangled cocoon of blankets and pillows, a maze of duvets posing as a nest to some kind of irritable burrowing creature, surrounded by a cleverly devised minefield of empty bottles and crushed cans, lay a tuft of fiery red hair sticking out to the side of the haphazard construct. Like an iceberg, it's greater mass lay unrevealed to the world, the sound of snorts and choking snores filling the air, now firmly scented with finely "aged" stale wine and beer.

Yet still, despite these impressive defenses, across the road to the temporary fortress against the world of the awakened, the automatic lights dotting the streets outside flickered active, shining a clear stream through the blinds disrupting insight of the accommodation's occupants as the steady electronic buzz slowly drove Lancer awake.

With a groan, a set of aqua-blue eyes appeared, narrowing in challenge towards the lightbulbs outside as Lancer considered the merits of slaying them for this affront to her dignity as a Servant. Wincing as the aftermath of her drinking came rushing to greet her, Lancer untangled herself from her makeshift bed, yawning as she stretched out her arms. Picking up a nearby can, she attempted to sip from it before noticing the lack of contents.

"Master, we appear to be out of refreshments. Again." She stated in a huff, cracking her neck to the side as she brushed down her form-fitting light green robe.

As the City of X'ian went about its business unaware of the machinations of the Magi and Conspiracies around then. A group of men marched towards the unassuming administrative building that had been given to the Supervisor for the duration of the war. At its center stood a dashing, well dressed, young man. Some princeling no doubt, prancing about with his gang of paid thugs off to bribe an chronically overworked and underpaid governmental official, one with no awareness of subtly at that. Still people knew better than to stick their noses in situations as potentially as dangerous as this one promised to be and thus bystanders did their utmost to ignore everything.

As the cohort reached their destination, the thugs and the young man split apart. The former spread out to stand guard over the entrance, while the latter continued his journey. At his side there was a sudden flutter of gust and light and from it appeared a hooded man dressed in the garbs of an traveler.

At the sight of the supervisor, the hooded man lowered his cloak and offered a smile. ''Servant Archer here to answer the call. A pleasure to see you as always honored Supervisor Tian, though I wish the matter at hand was of a slightly less unfortunate nature.''

Xiang was the first one of the Masters to present herself, a confident stride to her steps as her peerless vibrant crimson hair flowed unnaturally in a non-existent wind, her jade-like skin shines, her cerulean blue eyes glows, and her perfect body shape awes the mortals. Xiang is disappointed that her cultivation will gradually weaken due to her contact with the Human Order. The only solution was to meditate, train and cultivate even harder than usual. It doesn't stop it but it does delay it until her acquisition of the Holy Grail artifact.

"I am Xiang Chang, Eldest-Senior Sister of the Heavenly Mountain and Captain-Enforcer of the Xiuying. You may merely call me Senior-Sister Xiang," she told them in a professional tone of voice, her unnatural soothing voice carrying itself to the ears of everyone in the room. She tried to sound friendly but Xiang hadn't interact with mortals at all before so she is not sure if she had gotten it right. She doubts they could be any worse than the Junior disciples these days or the new arrogant recruits into the Xiuying unit.

"Rider is my Servant. If you will." she offers the opportunity to her Servant to introduce herself. They had agreed beforehand to not reveal her true identity.

A tall, stately figure took one step forward, clasped its hands in a formal gesture of greeting and bowed. Its actions were those of humility, but performed with precision, grace and confidence.

Its voice was high, resonant, sounding like a bronze bell from its full-face helmet. "This vassal is honoured to greet the august company. This vassal hopes to uphold their duties and not betray the high hopes placed upon them."

Its speech was the courtly tongue of old, befitting the armour it wore. The interlinked mountain-scales of gilded Sanwenjia glittered in the light.

"This vassal shall respond to the name of Rider. No other is necessary unless Master Xiang decides otherwise."

Yu scratched the back of his head, "Archer, did we really need the escort? I felt like every eye in the room was on me. If we weren't already on the 'other's' radars, we definitely are now." He turned to look at the Overseer, and shivered, he always felt on edge around her for some reason he'd never been able to figure out.

He pulled back his sleeve to present the three Command Spells on the back of his hand, each softly glowing crimson, and altogether forming a plus symbol. One vertical line in the middle separated two horizontal lines from one another. "Yu Long, Master of Archer." He mumbled, the words more a formality than anything else. She already knew exactly who he was and the others did too.

Stopping the work she was doing on the prosthetic eye that belonged to her, Xiulan turned her head to look at the disheveled looking redhead that was Lancer, her Servant, with a quiet sigh as she reached under her desk and threw a can of orange juice over at her. The communicate blared in her ears but she took her time to stand up and stretch her back, making rather loud popping noises, as she moved to place the eye back into its socket with a rather unpleasant sounding squelch.

"... We should go, Lancer. I'll buy something you'd like better on the way there, if you don't mind." Having said that, Xiulan reached over to her xuanduan and put her arms through it's sleeves with a swift motion, unclipping the bunny hairclips that were being kept on the right sleeve and using them to put her hair back in working condition before she walked out the door of her room.
Deep inside Xiulan didn't, at all, look forward to this meeting. That supervisor looked like somebody much too alike those in the Institute for her own tastes.

It would take around half an hour for them to make their way to it, considering the distance.

Draining the can in a single, well practiced gulp, Lancer crumbled the aluminium against her head as she belched in satisfaction.

"Bah. I don't know why you are so worried Master. Why should we care what some dried up old creatures have to offer? Either they can follow us into battle against these interlopers or I'll pummel the cowards into line." She stated with a savage grin, relishing the chance for a battle after so long without, exiting her astral form as the pair approached the meeting room.

"If any disagree, i'll poke them full of holes and we'll be better off without them!" She stated, uncaring of who heard her boast.

Yu turned to look at the newcomer and promptly gulped, it was Bai Xiulan, the infamous Jiangshi of Luoyang Imperial Institute. He'd always felt like she was judging him, and finding him wanting.

"Ma'm!" He greeted her, "It's good to see you're alright." Good to see that you hadn't gotten pissed off yet. He looked around, and spotted Lancer coming up from behind Xiulan, "Good to see you Lancer. Did you encounter any trouble getting here?"

Despite being a Servant, Yu Long had a feeling that he had a better shot of surviving if Lancer was at Xiulan's side. Someone who divert the Master's attention away from him, and besides, Lancer was kind of refreshing compared to the image of stoic, serious figures that popped into his mind when he thought of Heroic Spirits, same as Archer. He wasn't too certain about the other Servants though.

Lancer's remark got a small smile out of Xiulan, which immediately disappeared as they approached the meeting room and she noticed two other pairs of Masters and Servants... And rugged, strong looking men. And Yu Long, if she correctly recalled, who was... A prodigy? She couldn't quite properly recall, but she nodded at him in acknowledgement.

"We took some time, my apologies." She bowed to the room in general. "I was busy with my eye."

Amanthi Varma is, at least, not the last Master to arrive. She is (seemingly) alone and she drives herself in a nondescript car. Amanthi herself is a woman in her thirties, with aquiline, severe features, striking eyes and dark hair and skin. Her. Hair is tied back in a long, single braid and her clothing is business-like and practical. She does seem slightly out of place - she's a foreigner, after all - but she moves with a sense of purpose and poise.

She recognizes a few faces. She's worked with the institute in the past, but she only acknowledges the group with a nod and a raise of her hand. No point in being familiar. At best, they're acquaintances.

"Good to see you all. I am Amanthi Varma. Master of Assassin. Any word on why we've been summoned...?"

She punctuates her question with a little arch of her brow. She doesn't mind exposing her ignorance. At least not here, where she judges they're all in the same boat.

Xiang had been observing everyone silently after her flamboyant introduction but rather, the sudden appearance of a certain someone threw off her usual calm composure. What she saw in front of her was herself. There were some slight differences, slightly lighter hair and different clothes but the woman in front of her was unmistakenly herself. Xiang narrows her eyes as she takes a combat-ready stance.

"Masquerading as myself? What a foolish move, imposter." Xiang comments with a sneer on her face. "Rider, take down her down," she ordered her Servant. Her voice was ice-cold, as she glared with mirth at the imposter, her eyes glowed dangerously. If she joined the fighting, Xiang is confident in taking down the imposter along with her Servant but she must be careful if there aren't more imposters around that could jump up at the opportunity to stab her in the back while she is distracted.

Assassin concealed himself per his Master's Order, shadowing her carefully as she made her way to the appointed meeting, contemplating the previous ride in the modern contraption as he and his Master made their way to the meeting room.

Yet as they approached, they came upon the other Masters, alongside their Servants. So many Heroes in one place...

In this war, they were enemies. Yet Assassin looked forward to seeing the Heroes of China, and perhaps even speaking with the legends of old.

As such, despite his Container, Assassin saw fit to make himself known.

From a respectful distance away from the other Masters and Servants, Assassin appeared, casting aside the veil that concealed his presence, revealing a somewhat tall figure covered from head to toe in worn leather armor, complete with a face mask and helmet, making the Servant appear as if he were a common bandit, with a simple Dao strapped and sheathed at their side, and a worn and otherwise unremarkable spear strapped to their back. Assassin then took a few steps forward to stand beside his Master, and taking a respectful bow towards the other Masters and Servants, and introducing themselves with an even yet deferential tone.

"Servant Assassin. It is with great respect that I greet you, in spite of our statuses. It is rare that one can interact with the Heroes of our Nation, and I look forward to what little time we may speak together without enmity."

"Stop!" Yu shouted, knowing that this could get very easily out of hand, "She's not an imposter, Lancer's likely your Ancestor, Xiang!"

He stepped in between Lancer and Xiang, his hands outstretched. While it would normally be suicide to get in between a Servant fight, he had a trump-card on hand, he just hoped it was in place.

'Archer, have you made this area your territory yet? This looks like it will get ugly.' Yu asked his Servant Telepatically. Just in case, he fingered the knife hidden up his sleeve, it'd be next to useless on Servants, but on him...

Lancer was about to respond to the young man, sweating like a boy about to face his first battle...which was probably an accurate summation to be fair, when some copy-cat harpy decided now was the time to fling accusations.

"IMPOSTER!" Lancer barked, the noise travelling throughout the building as her face turned red with anger, a spear fit for battle appearing in her hand. The serpentine blade keening as it passed through the air before Lancer set its butt on the ground, the impact cracking the floor.

"SAY THAT AGAIN YOU SHREW!" Lancer demanded, the air rapidly thickening with killing intent. "SAY IT AGAIN AND I'LL POKE YOU FULL OF HOLES WITH MY SPEAR!"

Liu was the latest to arrive, she knew. Stepping into the building, she's humming a tune under her breath, her bearing happy as she walked into the room, Caster presumably following.

"Good Morning, all of you! I see that our darling master of Beserker is even later than I am, but I suppose that might be due to the intractable nature of those servants."

Taking a seat, she hung her umbrella on the back of it, smirking at the rest of the table, pointedly ignoring the two people yelling at each other.

With a sigh Archer bowed to the Supervisor. ''My apologies for this mess Lady Tian. Allow me just one second.''

''Heroes of China, stay your hands!'' He bellowed as he interposed himself in between Lancer and Rider. ''Our enemy is not each other, we are the Exemplar of the Nation, not barbarians or Bandits who turn on each other at the slightest misunderstanding. So comport yourself as the Heroes of China must. And more importantly,'' He followed up with a smile as his pupils turned into reptilians slits. '' know that I will not allow such foolishness in my City.''

A high laugh echoes ethereally through the estate, One that permeated the bones and rebounded within the minds of those who would hear it.

The supervisor leans up from her seat for the first time since the start of the reunion.

With shining eyes and a clear smile, the Lady Tian Tian breathes out the smoke from the pipe she was tending to while acknowledging the entrances of the esteemed Masters and Servants. Her features were young and her figure slight, those of a young girl barely reaching adulthood.

Yet. Many of the Masters would know, that the Lady Tian Tian has held this appearance for many many years, and the rumors that surrounded were as as concerning as they were many. The Territory of the estate put to her disposition trembles with pressure and power.

She speaks in a clear and high voice, one hand spreading in front of her as if caressing the air in turn with the pressure.

"Now now My Esteemed Masters, I would implore you not to spill unneeded blood upon mine carpet. It is of sentimental import you see." Her way of speaking was odd, though few could discern exactly why. And though the words that passed through mouth were polite her tone was almost sarcastic.

"If slaughter is what you desire, it is at your disposition against better fitting prey." Even though she was surrounded by such Mighty Heroes and exemplars of the arts, she was unruffled and undisturbed. Her eyes running through and making contact with all the in attendance. "I urge you to exercise some restraint within mine estate. I'd get scolded."

Xiulan felt shivers go through her body, even into her prosthetic limbs, as she listened to Lady Tian Tian's words. She gritted her teeth, in an attempt to contain the revulsion she felt at the power those words had over her, and patted Lancer on her shoulder.

"... You heard the supervisor, Lancer. Talk with that Master later, over drinks, please." The hand on her Servant's shoulder was obviously trembling as she let go, turning to look at the supervisor and bowing to her, with a wince.

"My apologies."

The Monochrome Girl drove with great concentration. She knew she wasn't very good, and it would be ridiculous, after all this, to break her neck in a traffic accident. She'd spent months planning this, ever since she's heard about the war. Her house back in Tokyo still had a fireplace full of the papery ash of those plans, everything from attempting to fight without leaving Tokyo to hiring a team of international mercenaries to help her out.

Instead, the Monochrome Girl had come herself on false papers, of which she had two sets. Had come into her power. Had recruited a dangerous power to her command. She had spent several ten million yen, and the lives of no less than four men to get them. She would spend the lives of many more to go further.

It was green out here. Green and high up, but not Japan. Not really anything like it either.

According to the car's GPS, they were coming up on where they wanted to be. She'd programmed a fake destination into it, in case the Chinese had some way to track destinations like this, and now turned the set off and ejected the battery. There was an old service road off into the mountains on her right. A little hesitantly, still keeping her speed slow, she turned off down it, stopping the car at the gate.

"Caster." She looked over at the empty seat next to her. "Can you read a map? I think this is it. If not it'll probably do." She looked at the rusty fence up ahead. "Not much of a tourist place."

She got out, walked to the gate and tapped the lock a few times, then spoke a word, causing it to click open. "There's caves here. Does this look like something you can use?"

A small girl appeared in the seat, looking at the map before nodding "This is indeed our target, Master, good work." She then looked around before nodding again "This will do. We will have to venture deep inside, hopefully the deepest point, for the best results." Caster walked through the gate before waiting for her Master.

"Right. I just hope it doesn't collapse on us. That'd be a pretty embaressing way to die." The woman who called herself Sakura laughed to herself. "Hang on." She reached into the back of the hired car and pulled out a pair of hard hats and flashlights, then offered one to Caster. "Here, put this on. It's always best to be safe."

Without pause and disregarding the notion that it would be unneeded, Caster put the Hard het on, and took the flashlight, before beginning to climb down the shaft her intuitions thought to be main shaft. Just before she entered the shaft, she unleashed a swarm of her heralds, intermixing them with the local fauna.

Lancer scoffed at Archer as the servant rudely imposed itself in affairs that were none of its concern. Though the Supervisor was revealing herself to be a powerful being, Lancer had faced far worse before, at greater odds.

"Do not apologize Master. We have done nothing wrong here." Lancer chided Xiulan. "It is she who take greater care in where she directs her threats. Some of use are capable of ones which aren't hollow." She continued, gesturing rudely towards Xiang Chang.
