[X] Try to reason with it (Very hard Bluff DC)
-[X] If you want to eat some joy without me trying to kll you, go to someplace else. I know of a place that might suit you actually.

Srsly you guys are you talking about literally setting fire to an orphanage?

Roof is made of wood or thatch, no?
Looks like he is sitting on stone:
. You are not sure what hidden instinct or stroke of fortune caused you your eyes to pass over the stone above the window you sought, but there in the shadows you spy a spark of crimson.. no two.

Besides, if he is bound similarly to the lesser fey we wont get him to back down without capturing or fighting him. And mundane weapons might not work at all since that kind of fey can be incoporeal. Fire seems to be our only good option. Unless the Seekers Bonesword counts as a magic weapon?

[X] Attack the creature with fire

I would like to send it to Casterly Rock, but if it's the same type as Glyra we would need to defeat it first anyway, and we don't really have the time for that. Oh well. Maybe if it survives the attack.

Part CDLXXXII: The Bloodied Hall
The Bloodied Hall

Fourth Day of the Third Month 291 AC

Surprise is these creatures' greatest weapon, yet you have the opportunity to turn its favored tactics on this one, too good a chance to miss on the off chance of warding the predatory fey away with words. Bound it is to one who has shown himself to be your enemy as well a sa slave to its hunger. "Ware darkfey," you call to Dany, trusting that she will follow the path of your spell to the creature. You speak the words and make the proscribed motions and an ember of sorcerous flame flies forth, aimed at a place just far enough from the wall of the orphanage to strike the creature, but without causing any other harm.

Lurid flames erupt in the dark, red and orange blooming cross a colorless world, as Dany begins casting in her turn, by the light of your magic. As your spell envelops it the spirit cackles, a chillingly empty sound, which turns into a wail as your sister's ribbon of mystical flame connects lashes at it. When flames clear you see that its ethereal beauty has been marred, not as flesh might have been, but as wax melting into a deformed visage. You have to kill it now, before it can retreat back into the building where your magics will me much more limited by all the children within... perfect victims for the thing's inhuman appetites. Again you speak the spell and this time the fire catches hold. With a final scream that fades into immeasurable distance it dies.

You gain 525 XP
Dany gains 800 XP

Without exchanging another word the three of you dive at the window. The screams you hear are oddly comforting. If the children can scream it means they are still alive. It soon becomes clear that all is not well. There is a chaotic melee going on within above which you can clearly hear all-too-familiar giggling.

At your command the Seeker smashes open the already weakened window allowing you and Dany to enter. Among the pandemonium the gremlins would be hard to spot but for the fact that they have taken on their natural forms, the better to cause terror even as their, magics en flame wrath.

Like the quicksilver she so resembles Dany dives onto one of the three little menaces seeking to distract it from its victim, heedless of any danger to herself. They tumble onto the floor in a ball of kicking scratching limbs and flashing diminutive fangs.

Dany takes 2 damage

A surge of sorcery spills out from your talons, hoping to force the creatures into unconsciousness and incapacitate the children before it is too late. The orphans fall as you knew they would but the fey fight on, seemingly daring strength from the carnage about them, whirling broken pieces of wood and rusty tools about. Seeing you they grow more through at their work. Blood flows ever thicker. Paint the walls red, you remember with a shudder. These children are tough you know, but how much more of this can they take?

From the depths of your soul you call your magic, praying to whatever god will listen that this time it will be enough, as Dany does her best to fight her foe, defending the others with her body. Though you wish nothing so much as to come to her aid you know she would hate herself if she thought herself the cause of another child's death.

Dany takes 3 damage

Again the unearthly colors flash and this time one of the fey collapses just as it was about to crush the a boy's head with its hammer. Mercifully the child also falls unconscious. Seeing the fate of its fellow the other gremlin tries to run but its short legs can barely carry it to the door before you are upon it. The creature turns at bay and tries to cast your thoughts into confusion, but you throw off its influence with laughable ease. It has far less luck with your own spell.

In one smooth motion you turn on the wing to rescue Dany from her tormentor. You can barely concentrate on the spell as as you clearly hear your sister's cries of pain, but focus you do and with a fourth spell send it into unconsciousness. Bleeding, bruised, but undaunted your little sister sires into the air.

You gain 525 XP

Dany gains 900 XP

Between the two of you, with Dany casting mage-light to get their attention you are able to get the still fighting children to separate. At a glance you count five who are motionless, dead or dying, cursing every godsdamn gremlin and the one that who sent them.

You have to get to the girl's dorm as quickly as possible, but how and with whom?

Regarding Dany?

[] Ask her to stay here and help keep as many of the children alive until Vee comes (DC 20 Diplomacy check)

[] Ask her to guide the Seeker to the door and command it thereafter (DC 24 Diplomacy check)

[] Take her with you (DC 20 Will save)

Regarding the Seeker?

[] Have it try to get int though a side door on its own

[] Take to the air and guide it in

Regarding the gremlins?

[] Tie them up with the children's help

[] Kill them

OOC: Dany's re-rolls helped quite a lot with frying that Joystealer in the beginning. On the other hand the gremlins kept rolling ridiculously high will saves

What to do about the gremlins? To be fair, after this, I'd not kill them. I'd sell them to Tor. That's going to set a precedent of some sorts. Don't fuck with us, or you'll get a worse fate than death.

-[X] Point out that you came to save the children and their thus your main priority.

[X] Have it try to get int though a side door on its own
-[X] Tell it to not harm anyone that is not a fey. Disengage if others attack him.

[X] Tie them up with the children's help
-[X] Let Dany and the children do this. You've got places to be and Feys to roast.

There are still two of them in the boys dorm. If we want to send them to cause mischief elsewhere or sell to Tor one or two are easier to handle than five.

I was okay with letting them live right until they started killing children
