Really? Thanks for the buff, but I remember us having to go through a bunch of trouble to install Internet in Last Station. Also not being able to call people when in the Never-Never.
Or when you say work you mean continue to function and are very clever in finding methods to access networks? I don't think taking down the cell tower would be enough.

The internet was for the people who lived there, demons can talk to each other magically but it is now what one would call good bandwidth. The reason you could not call from the never-never is that you were in another world. The veil was in the way.

Murdering the spirit doesn't help us. All it does is send up a neon flashing sign that Molly killed the spirit. Spirit killing charms are super rare.

Murder is Meat only works on Spirits we kill. Breaking the phone the spirit is in doesn't hurt the spirit at all. They're naturally immaterial and don't have bodies without some kind of binding all breaking it does is just sends it directly back to Hell Without even touching it.

That's true in the same way saying people die when they are killed is true, but both fluff and intent MIM should work.
No I mean it only activates when we kill them. We have no way of actually stopping the Cyber devil from just disappearing Into The Ether because it's already partially in The Ether and doesn't have an actual body and we don't have any bindings to keep it here.
Let me put this another way cyber Devils are completely immaterial bodyless beings. Unless we plan on pulling out our sword and jamming it through the phone with aggravated damage on top to make sure it hits across the gauntlet breaking the phone sends the Cyber devil straight back to the hell. We inflict no damage Levels by doing that.

Success conjures a vortex
of crimson flaying winds which slice its dissipating substance into stray motes of Essence.
It is just as much here as anything else we killed whose spirit might escape.
Dissipating substance it's still whole we didn't damage it at all we just got rid of its anchor. Cyberdevils like every other Spirit have their own health levels independent from objects they're anchored to.

@DragonParadox Since Molly can use Cyberdevils herself and has the spirit killing charm can we get an answer on this? Will destroying the possessed phone with MHM while intending to use MiM without the sword allow us to eat it or would the spirit escape?
That would work if the charm goes though just like with any other spirit.
Again we have Flick a Binding and Warding Grandmaster. She could easily capture such minor spirits, given even a minute prep.

Flick is rather obvious you know. Does she have stealth tech or magic? I imagine she would've used it earlier if so.
She's a spy for someone who wants the Well. If we interact with the Well it gets reported and we may have to deal with interference.

Does that mean we can outright attempt to consume uninjured spirits? Or does that mean destroying the object a cyberdevil is in counts as killing it for the purposes of murder is meat.

I wouldn't recommend making the offer in that way right after her phone gets destroyed. Most people are rather bothered by such things. If you just copy and paste the stunt with a different context it can come off as clumsy and inconsiderate.

Because she should have a whole report on the well. Also we don't want the wicked city to have it.
Okay then. I will say this the captured demon in a phone with no battery does allow us to ask crown questions directly about Mikaboshi or the wicked City directly from a source that directly interacted with them. Also we do have someone who's capable of binding it later so we can get regular non-crown questions about those things as well. It seems to me that breaking her phone or otherwise destroying the phone it's just a waste of resources that are already here/ could be useful later. Never mind the fact it might alert the lord of the wicked City before we really want him to be alerted which is to say well after we've already set up shop.
I am still genuinely confused with all the stealth.
We don't need it. We could literally declare boston ours and challange all comers. And 99% nothing would dare approch us.

Demon Lords, gods, fairies and just Spirits in general are notoriously fucking sore losers. If they had any interest in this place and they saw a setting up shop before they could I do not doubt they would attempt to destroy it just because they could. Also the stealth is because I want to look directly into the head of Mikaboshi. Which we can do because the crown has a source that was personally picked by him the to be placed in someone's phone.
